Universal Epic Universe RIDES & ATTRACTIONS 2025 | Universal Orlando Resort

[Music] epic Universe has finally arrived universal Orlando’s most ambitious project yet spanning the full spectrum of theme park immersion from dueling coasters powered by flux capacitors hopping across collapsing jungle mine tracks to exploring through catacombs crawling with legendary monsters Epic Universe pulls you into blockbuster worlds but after so many years of anticipation does it live up to the promise hi I’m a frugal Brit and in this video I’ll guide you through all Universal Epic Univers’s lands rides and attractions behind each portal without further ado let’s dive in the journey into Epic Universe begins at the base of the towering Kronos portal topped with orbiting rings and golden medallions your first steps into the park will take you into Celestial Park the largest lander epic universe serving as the park’s central hub connecting all other universes which we’ll be exploring as part of this video but we start in Celestial Park entering through the Kronos with the Helios Grand Hotel visible at the far end providing a visual anchor that draws your eye across the landscape in terms of theming Celestial Park draws from the Age of Wonder a golden age where myth magic and early science converge with a strong sense of romantic futurism at the center of it all is the park’s grand fountain which hosts informal water shows where jets of water move in sync with a sweeping orchestral score celestial Park is home to two attractions the first of the tour is Constellation Carousel riders board creatures inspired by constellations rising six feet in the air enhanced by synchronized music and lighting the star attraction at Celestial Park is Stardust Races a groundbreaking high-speed launch dual coaster where two separate tracks intertwine along 4,800 ft of track once through the transit station riders board sleek comet-shaped coaster vehicles picking either team yellow or green both dispatch simultaneously splitting off before rejoining in a tunnel under the station giving onlookers a look at the flux capacitors which power the trains through launch one propelling riders out of the tunnel at 62 mph of a 133 ft top hat at the peak there’s a brief moment of weightlessness before the trains dive down the other side next riders are thrown in a non-inverting dive loop where the trains diverge before being slung back towards each other crisscrossing over and under with several airtime hops and a misty crossover near the station before lining up for the second and final launch which accelerates riders up into the ride’s signature element the celestial spin one-of-a-kind inversion where both trains and burr and cork screw around each other in perfect unison for a few seconds riders find themselves upside down swirling around the other train as the trains unwind they dive low to the ground and begin a series of airtime hills and high-speed turns with multiple near mississ moments with the train zipping past each other at close range there’s one last ascending hop that brings the two trains together for the final break run after 90 seconds of racing next we’ll head over to the east of the map for Super Nintendo World guests enter through a portal topped with familiar Mario power-ups before heading inside the green warp pipe tunnel where green escalators carry you upward through an atmospheric star speckled passageway which transports you to the Mushroom Kingdom at the top you’ll arrive at Princess Peach’s Castle complete with checkered floors arched columns and royal banners exiting the castle is where the full reveal hits you step into the heart of the colorful Mushroom Kingdom with a wide panoramic viewfacing Mount Beam Pole filled with incredible background animatronic scenery interactive games and lively set pieces are scattered throughout the land enhanced by optional powerup bands that let you collect coins and unlock experiences landmarks like Toad Stool Cafe Mario Motors and OneUp Factory are seamlessly blended into the environment there’s even a chance to meet some of your favorite characters in person tucked into the base of Mount Bean Pole Yoshi’s Adventure is the first ride you’ll come across a family-friendly omni mover attraction the queue winds gently through a colorful forest up a large tree structure before boarding colorful Yoshi vehicles as the ride kicks off it immediately offers a sweeping view of Mushroom Kingdom with Peach’s Castle and her surrounding land one of the more visually impressive moments of the experience the story of the ride involves helping Captain Toad on a treasure hunt you’re tasked with searching for glowing Yoshi eggs the ride gently moves past a series of familiar Mario elements and a menacing condorito looming over the track riders are prompted to press the right colored Yoshi egg when spotting specific egg colors along the track the course includes a dark ride segment entered through a pipe inside the tone shifts to a more whimsical and glowing nighttime setting back outside the ride winds through a vibrant jungle environment where a balloon-like pink Yoshi floats above and several colored Yoshis appear among the foliage before cruising back into the treehouse station nestled beneath a looming silhouette of Mount Bean Pole stands Bowser’s Castle which contains one of the headliner attractions the Mario Kart Bowser’s Challenge augmented reality dark ride guests enter via the imposing facade then once inside you’ll head through the Grand Hall filled with medallions and trophies as well as other elaborately themed rooms that immerse you in Bowser’s world and his obsession with defeating Team Mario after passing through a series of pre-show rooms guests are introduced to the core mechanics and how to aim and fire shells using the ride’s AR system guests are handed a Mario themed augmented reality visor for boarding fourperson carts that sync with your visor which overlays digital elements onto physical sets it starts with a short training segment allowing you to get used to the AR system the ride then progresses through various iconic Mario Kart courses including underwater sections haunted mansions and cloud-filled skies throughout riders collect coins and shells aiming at team Bowser members and other targets to accumulate points drifting around corners by turning the wheel in unison with onscreen prompts naturally the finale is set on Rainbow Road where riders face off against Bowser in a final battle success depending on the team’s collective performance just to the right of Mount Bean Pole a bright circular tunnel styled like a jungle cave leads into Donkey Kong Country a subland of Super Nintendo World stepping through the tunnel the path opens onto a palmlined walkway with a dramatic stone archway which reveals a tropical jungle filled with banana trees funky Kong’s plane Bongo drums which unlock special effects when synced with the music nearby Donkey Kong’s treehouse sits perched above the jungle floor decked out for regular meet and greets eyes will be drawn to the centerpiece the Golden Temple with its cascading waterfall and striking golden facade the entrance to the sole attraction for this subland sits just steps away from the waterfall which is minecart madness guests enter beneath a wooden archway the queue quickly guides you into the temple’s stone corridors lined with tall carved columns and colorful wall art midway through the queue guests encounter a fully animated Cranky Kong animatronic seated beside his parrot once boarded you’ll head out on a mission to protect the golden banana through the jungle greeted by Diddy Kong before latching onto a chain lift hill then rising up through a giant barrel at the top riders are launched out into the open air only to divert into an abandoned temple where you’re quickly knocked off course into a fast drop and a sharp turn the ride uses a unique track system where the visible rails appear broken or incomplete creating the illusion that the car is leaping across gaps these jumps happen repeatedly over stylized stonework and jagged wooden spikes often just before sudden curves or elevation changes the ride blends indoor and outdoor sequences including a splashy flyby past the golden temple waterfalls before the final act where a triumphant Diddy and Donkey Kong appear having successfully safeguarded the golden banana leaving Super Nintendo World behind we’re headed next to the aisle of Burke a cliffside village themed to How to Train Your Dragon stepping through the swirling cosmic portal from Celestial Park guests are transported into the rugged windswept cliffs of Burke which unfolds in front of you as a sprawling seaside village a statue of a Viking and dragon guard the village over the sparkling lagoon dragons are everywhere in all shapes and sizes some carved into stone others animated hadock Paddock is where guests can meet Hiccup Hadock in full Viking gear with Toothless elsewhere you might catch Gobber hammering away at his forge or over hear Roughnut and Toughnut arguing over whose dragon is faster at the back of the village the Viking training camp offers a colorful play area complete with nets to climb as well as sheep launchers across from the portal built into the jagged rock face of a sea cliff stands me hall a central spot for Burke’s feasts and gatherings massive stone Viking statues frame the entrance stepping through feel as if you’ve joined a Viking banquet from the movie your dragon training begins at Dragon Racers Rally burk’s introductory ride where guests can practice for the village’s famous dragon race once strapped in the vehicle lifts into the air spinning around a central axis gradually gaining speed with interactive joysticks riders control their wings choosing between a peaceful glide or a daring barrel rolls closer to the harbor docks you’ll find fire drill an interactive boat ride inspired by the mischievous Viking twins Roughnut and Toughnut guests board eightp person Viking ships each equipped with powerful individual water cannons embarking on a leisurely canal route but the tranquility quickly dissolves into playful chaos as boats compete head-to-head each crew racing to extinguish more fires than their opponents blasting streams of water up to 28 ft guests fire at targets and rival boats alike beware successfully hitting a target might trigger a retaliatory splash from a hidden Viking or dragon ensuring that everyone is thoroughly soaked for a return to the skies next we’ll head to Hiccup’s Wing Gliders a family-friendly steel coaster guests enter through Hiccup’s home invited to test one of his latest inventions riders board handcrafted four-person gliders then coast out of the station and wind gently through the trees toward Hiccup’s workshop inside Hicup and Toothless prepare for the launch but in typical Toothless fashion the impatient dragon triggers the contraption too early before the wings have been attached with a jolt the train surges forward out of the workshop and into the open skies sending gliders sweeping and twisting through the village rooftops and past Viking landmarks riders saw low over a lagoon and through rock outcroppings simulating the feel of a dragon swimming the water’s surface from there the gliders dart under bridges race along twisting pathways and dive through a rocky dragon nest where colorful eggs cluster on rocky ledges after a brief stall the coaster rolls forward only to fall back into the nest where smoke hisses and grunkles appear the coaster kicks back into gear back to full speed swooping into a lively dragon habitat dodging colorful posts and dragon huts after that it’s a fast glide across open fields capped off with one final sweeping turn before returning to the station a fast-paced storydriven flight that’s quickly become a fan favorite for something a bit more relaxing after the rides guests can wander over to the Great Hall Theater home to the Untrainable Dragon Live Spectacular inside tiered seating surrounds a central stage that looks like a chunk of the Burke Wilderness hiccup Astrid and Gobber try to tame a wild new dragon combining giant dragon puppets dazzling special effects sweeping music and plenty of crowd-pleasing surprises including a full-sized dragon which soarses over the audience leaving Burke behind our journey continues as we head upwards for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic Land Universal Orlando’s highly anticipated third installment to the Wizarding World as you step through the portal you can hear the time turner ticking as you travel back in time to 1920s Paris the journey begins in the Parisian Metro system emerging beneath a striking Phoenix Arch which reveals the Plask Cache meticulously designed to reflect the charm and mystery of the 1920s magical community in shop windows enchanted portraits of famous wizards gossip about the latest happenings interacting with the visitors and offering insights into hidden details a trio of jazz musicians fill the streets with period authentic 1920s Parisian tunes accompanied by their playful puff scheme every few paces you’ll notice guests waving their new interactive wands at the spell stations creating magical moments for those eager to pick up their own ones the chic boutique Cosmo Aazor Baguette Mazika waits offering an elegant alternative to Ollivanders with its sophisticated Parisian flare tucked away in the shadowy alleys of Plaskache a Go Blade Noir offers a quick service dining experience steeped in dark wizarding lore inviting guests into a moody medieval style tavern where dark witches and wizards gather to escape the eyes of the Paris Ministry if you prefer something lighter the charming cafe le du lassen recreates a vibrant 1920s Parisian cafe atmosphere and serves up the signature butterbeer crepe one of epic universe’s mustry treats looming over the street is a large colorful circus tent which hosts the Lasakus Arcanus a 15-minute stage show that features the flamboyant ring master Scander’s scheme to restore his dwindling circus by capturing N’s commander’s enchanted suitcase expect impressive aerial acrobatics twirling above intricate puppetry adding up to a captivating show tucked behind the charm of 1920s Paris is a far more perilous journey this is Harry Potter and the battle at the Ministry to get to the ride you’ll have to travel via the Metro Flu ministry officials usher groups of muggles through the underground station then in a flash of swirling emerald flames you’re whisked away by flu powder across space and time from the back streets of Paris to the British Ministry of Magic deep beneath the streets of London you materialized through one of the Ministry’s grand fireplaces before arriving in the Ministry atrium a striking recreation of the iconic film set that photos and videos never do justice dark green tiled walls rise high around you curving upward like an enormous underground cathedral lined with glowing office windows let us zoom magically between distant ministry offices the massive banner announces the trial of Dolores Umbridge hinting at the unfolding drama from here you’re ushered into the registry offices lined with clerical boos past wanted posters for death eaters next comes the hall of ministers where portraits of former magical leaders line the walls as the queue continues the ministry’s familiar green tile work turns purple you’re now nearing the heart of the investigation into the aura’s office packed with evidence beyond that you step into Dolores Umbbridge’s office itself occupied by Higgledy finally you board your Ministry elevator as the doors close riders glide between shifting elevator banks filled with commuting wizards and witches the story quickly escalates as the trio appear drawing riders into a battle against Dolores and corrupt Ministry forces with riders sent spiraling through chaotic scenes through the Ministry archives dodging death eaters and being launched by an angry arump into the time room umbrage’s antics backfire in the time room as the surroundings collapse into a cosmic vortex with a trio and Higgledy plunged into a storm of debris after a brief blackout order is restored as Umbrage is sentenced in the Ministry courtroom leading to a calmer journey and a warm send off leaving the flu network behind with daylight dwindling we turn north to the very top of our map for our final stop which is Dark Universe you enter by the glowing archway that crackles with light on guests as they pass through the cursed village of Darkmore once through you’re surrounded by gravestones flickering lanterns and a creeping layer of fog that spills out from between tombs everything looks worn down like a village that’s been dealing with monsters for centuries near the entrance is a busted iron cage showing signs of an escape further in a glowing fountain sits at the heart of the village surrounding it the buildings are slanted and aged with crooked balconies and flickering windows one containing bubbling potions on one side you’ll find Das Steakhouse a vampire themed quicks service restaurant where guests dine among servants aspiring to gain immortality and containing vampire ccentric artwork and artifacts ahead stands Frankenstein Manor the massive centerpiece of the land which we’ll be returning to later in the tour further along is the Burning Blade Tavern built into the remains of an old windmill every so often the windmill’s blaze catch fire briefly lighting up the area inside the tavern you’ll find a dimly lit hideway where aged timber beams stone walls and flickering lanterns create an atmosphere steeped in monster hunting lore on the far edge of Darkmore Village nestled among gnled woods of old European wagons lies the entrance to the curse of the werewolf spinning family coaster inspired by the 1941 movie The Wolf Man the path winds through dense forest where warning signs and cryptic verses speak of an ancient werewolf curse the queue ends in a candle lit loading station where riders board worn wagon-like vehicles after boarding the train curves outside and slows before hitting its first launch which sends riders climbing a twisted spike which crests into a right bank turn followed by the first pass through a wooden hut from there the train loses momentum and rolls backward initiating the first stall the vehicle then launches in reverse up the opposite side and falls forward again building speed before passing through the hut a third time now at full force taking riders over the crest and into the heart of the ride with a sweeping move past the windmill eventually slowing down as you return to the tent with a static figure of Malaya marking the end of the journey our final and most intense encounter takes us back to Frankenstein Manor a crumbling Gothic stronghold wrapped in stone iron and creeping vines electrical surges flash through the tower above you enter the grand foyer with statues murals and an ominous staircase the tone shifts towards science fiction as guests pass through a series of rooms filled with glowing blue energy lines lab equipment and monster hunting artifacts hinting at a high-tech experiment gone wrong the story becomes clear dr victoria Frankenstein descendant of the original doctor plans to control Universal’s iconic monsters using her reanimated monsters as a conduit with the support of her twitchy assistant Eagle from there guests store belongings in double-sided lockers later arriving at a circular loading platform inside what feels like a monster containment vault once you’re strapped in what begins as a controlled experiment led by Victoria backed by the swelling score of The Phantom of the Opera quickly spirals into chaos when Dracula escapes setting off a chain reaction plunging riders unpredictably through physical sets and state-of-the-art projections and close encounters that blur the line between Ride and Horror Show a final clash with Dracula leads to a searing burst of sunlight followed by a grim farewell from Eagle a relentless plunge into Universal’s Monsters Legacy an easy contender for Epic Universe’s best and with a huge ride capacity a real people eat it in every sense meaning wait times are
