Day trip by bus to Mount Fuji from Tokyo, with amazing views.
[Music] oh boy did we luck out on this day uh I can’t even describe how lucky we were with this this is a bucket list experience and to have the blue skies that we did was phenomenal so this video I’m going to go over a full day with views of Mount Fuji let’s get started so there’s three ways that you can do this experience you can do a tour you can do a train or like us take the bus we went with Weller i seen the reviews they were great and to be honest with you it was a really good experience we took the bus out of Tokyo Station and I will say this the one reason I really liked going with this bus company was because they send you an email after midnight on where to meet the bus at Tokyo Station and also a picture of the bus that you’re taking let me tell you it is so simplified i absolutely loved it this bus will take you from Tokyo Station down to Fuji Station from Fuji Station you’re going to get to explore this cute little area here there are three things that we were able to fit in on our day and let’s get started with that of course heading to the infamous pota this here you’re going to take a quick 9-minute train ride from Fuji Station to this station here i’m not even going to try pronouncing it because I’m I know I’m just going to butcher it but this little station is so freaking cute not to mention seeing all of these adorable trains i I have seen videos on this before we went to Japan but seeing them up close was so freaking cute and I’m sure if you were traveling with kids this would have been a massive highlight from here it is an 8-minute walk to the park this park here is it’s really actually incredible to explore there are more areas to it unfortunately because we only had a full day here I did not know how much time we needed to invest in this area but I will say this make sure that you have comfortable shoes because you will be climbing up a lot of stairs it was probably about a 25 30 minute climb but give yourself a little extra time because you’re gonna want to turn around while you’re walking up to see Mount Fuji it is such a great climb in that you get to turn around and see Mount Fuji as you’re going up the side of this hill one of the things that I’m going to warn you about is they do have warnings for bears and monkeys we didn’t see either so just so you know though there are bears and monkeys in the area one of the things I was super happy about was that there was still a cherry blossom tree at the top where the pota was now we did get here quite early so I would suggest if you’re coming here our bus left Tokyo at 6:00 in the morning we got there about maybe 8:30 to the actual Crota and it was really busy so if you’re wanting to avoid the crowds I suggest getting there at about 6:30 7:00 in the morning it was busy but we actually did not have to wait at the top area where of course all the famous Instagram pictures are taken we were off to the side a little bit and but there are so many areas little viewpoints from this area here where you can get some amazing pictures from i would suggest giving yourself about a hour and a half to 2 hours in this area on the way back down there are a couple little pathways off to head on to what looks like a road i suggest going down that pathway one going downstairs sucks and it’s it gets more and more crowded but this little pathway is two vehicles wide it’s really cute but it also takes you to this adorable shrine now one of the things I forgot to mention in my last video which you definitely want to go and check out is the Guian stamps now these are things stamps that you can get at any of the shrines they are a perfect souvenir and you’re only going to be spending about 500 to a,000 yen for each one if you plan on visiting a lot of shrines one of the things I definitely suggest to do is to make sure that you get the book this book is one thing that you have to make sure that it’s an actual stamping book for Ocean Stamps but if you’re not planning on visiting a whole bunch of them I suggest just getting yourself a stamp at the ones that mean the most to you one of the other things I forgot to mention in their video is the fortune this is Oh it’s such a really cool experience if you get a good one we did it at the um Zen Zenjo G you put in I think it’s 100 yen you shake up a little canister you get a stick it gives you a number you pull the number you open the drawer with that number and you get your fortune you make a wish while you’re getting your stick and I got to tell you mine was pretty incredible i’m not going to spoil it cuz I think it’s like birthday wishes but mine was actually pretty crazy cuz everything that I wished for actually showed on this fortune which was kind of cool so I would highly suggest it and if you get a bad one just tie up your piece of paper on the string and leave it behind at the bottom at the beginning of the path up to the the proot there is two cute little vendors one has like some fruit and some smoothies and juices the other one has food if you’re hungry I highly suggest going here we got well my nephew got a burger and Jod and I split a scallops and dumplings and they were really good but the burger was really good it had like a soya sauce um sauce on it i don’t even know how to describe it just trust me the burger is phenomenal so check it out so after you’re done eating head back to the train station and head back to Fuji Station from here you’re going to take a bus the first place that we stopped at was this amazing shrine i think anything that’s surrounded by forestry or has a amazing pathway heading up to the shrines just wins me over every single time this one here I think what I loved the most about it was these stone lanterns i can just imagine at night time how beautiful this would have been this is also the beginning for one of the trails to actual Mount Fuji this shrine here is over 1,900 years old have a look [Music] [Music] i would say give yourself about an hour to an hour and a half here to cover all the grounds there are a few trails that you can do here that look like they would be amazing but I give yourself an hour and a half two hours here i am taking a quick break to ask for your support one of the ways you can help support this channel for free is by liking subscribing sharing and commenting on these videos so if you haven’t already hit the like button if you haven’t already subscribed hit the subscribe button and the notification bell and of course don’t forget to share back to Mount Fuji back on the bus we made our way to Horino Hockey this is where we got the full of what was to be expected during Golden Week i did not think it was going to be this busy here all of the pictures that I seen and of course everybody’s t waiting for those you know moments where it’s not busy you’re trying to get the perfect picture but this was jam-packed absolutely jam-packed it was so busy the vendors and everything else it was just oh it was so busy and to be quite honest with you after getting up so early that morning I did not have the tolerance for crowds but if you’re going here and it’s super busy whether they have a festival or it’s Golden Week there is the museum area which will cost a few hundred yen to get into and I suggest if you want to get away from the crowds this is where you need to go but also because some of the views from the top of this building were amazing this was picture perfect also there’s a nice little trail winding around the carp pond here there’s a watermill there’s a couple little older buildings um throughout the pathway but just the views of Mount Fuji with this pond were absolutely amazing highly suggested to say that this was a picture perfect day is an understatement i can’t even begin to describe how beautiful Mount Fuji is when you have a beautiful blue sky behind it the next day we actually took a train to Kyoto and the views of Mount Fuji weren’t anywhere near what we had seen so I am counting my blessings and making this the perfect bucket list experience which brings me to the next stop Kyoto so next video is everything you need to know about Kyoto again during Golden Week but some of my top experiences in and around Kyoto so I’m going to leave this video here we’ll see you in a couple weeks if you like this video give it a thumbs up if you haven’t already subscribed hit that subscribe button and of course the notification bells so you will get to see all of my future videos and if you think anyone’s going to benefit from this video don’t forget to share we’ll see you in a couple weeks everyone bye for now
