[飯店住宿人生] 初訪福岡博多 | 靜鐵prezio HOTEL – 博多站前 | 去 FUGLEN FUKUOKA 喝咖啡
Wow! Fukuoka Airport is actually pretty small. Once you step out… I’m still at Hakata Station. Heading towards the Hakata exit. Staying on the 10th floor today. The highest floor is the 14th. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Alright, time to check into a new hotel. Where am I now? Fukuoka. It’s Shizutetsu Hotel Prezio, a business hotel under the Shizutetsu brand. Let’s step inside. This Shizutetsu Hotel is right next to Hakata Station. So this side of the building faces the railway tracks. My room is on this side, meaning it overlooks the train tracks. Rooms on the other side don’t have this view. Looks like there are two larger rooms here. And two medium-sized ones. Alright… This peephole—I might cover it at night. They’ve got the usual notices posted on the door. And a cleaning request sign. I usually don’t use these (since I’m only staying for two nights). If you want cleaning, you just put the sign up. Pretty convenient. It’s the usual card-insert system for power. There are traditional light switches here, just like this… What’s this? Right by the entrance is the bathroom. Look at all that natural light! Pretty nice, right? That’s because I’ve opened the window. No worries, though— Let’s take things one step at a time. First, let’s check out the entrance area. There’s a full-length mirror here. It also comes with a shoe brush, shoehorn, slippers, and shoe covers. There’s even a deodorizing spray and some hangers. They provided quite a lot—six hangers, actually! Plus, two additional hooks for hanging items. The entryway is a bit narrow, but that’s expected for a business hotel. It’s not the biggest hotel, but it’s totally fine for a short stay. Oh, look! They even provided an ironing board. That’s a nice touch—good to have for business travelers. It comes with a clip for securing clothes. I actually really like this bathroom setup. It’s a separate bathroom design. There’s a toilet, sink, and a completely separate shower area. I prefer this layout—it’s not the typical compact unit bath. You’ll need to grab amenities from downstairs. But the sink and washing area are well set up. There’s a hairdryer, a rinse cup, and fresh towels. This space is also great for getting dressed before and after a shower. There’s a basket underneath for used towels. Large bath towels are provided here too. What I love about this setup is… It has a completely separate shower room! What does that mean? It’s not just a unit bath—it has both a shower area and a bathtub. You can stand and shower freely. The lighting is a little dim, though. But yeah, there’s a bathtub right here. And an actual separate bathroom area— So you can shower without worrying about space. Since it has a sliding door design, it doesn’t take up much space at all. Moving further in, you’ll find… A luggage rack right here. I haven’t unfolded it yet, since my suitcase is a Lojel, and it fits nicely without taking up much space. For compact rooms like these in Japan, a top-opening suitcase is super convenient. Here’s a Sharp humidifier, which also doubles as an air purifier. And well… the space isn’t huge, but you’ve pretty much seen the whole room now. Let’s check out the desk area—it’s not very big. The TV is quite small too, probably around 43 inches. Here’s the kettle, some tissues, a desk lamp, and a mini fridge below. The hotel even provided a bottle of water, which is a nice touch—it’s complimentary. And here’s the safe. Pretty standard. Inside, there are some hotel information booklets. And bedside controls. A nightstand right by the bed. And just like that—you’ve seen the whole room. It’s not that big, really quite compact. Above, there’s an LED light strip. And right next to it, the air conditioning unit. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a remote control for the LED lights. They should be able to change colors, right? The lighting is fantastic when you open the curtains! Even though the room is small, I think it’s perfect for a solo traveler. There are two layers of soundproof windows—one with a white frame. Since it’s right by the railway, you can still hear some low-frequency sounds. But honestly, it’s not disruptive. There’s another layer of windows outside too. This one doesn’t seem to open… wait, it does! You can open it for ventilation. Maybe previous guests have mentioned the noise level? If the train noise is a problem, you can shut it. But yeah, you can definitely open it. And when you do— you really can hear the trains outside. That’s just how it is being next to the railway. Oh, here comes a train now! Is that a Shinkansen? Not sure what type of train that is. Since I’ll be heading to Kumamoto later, I wanted to stay near the station—it’s just more convenient. Definitely the better choice. Still not sure what train that was—I haven’t checked. If you stay here, you’ll hear some train noise. But personally, I don’t mind it. It’s manageable. I can live with it. But of course, everyone has their own preferences. Alright, that’s it for today’s tour! That’s the room. So, what do you think? Is this hotel okay for you? I’m Fujiki! See you next time—bye! The lighting in this room— It’s actually really nice. When you open the window, it makes a big difference. As for the bed and overall space— You can see everything clearly now. The hotel breakfast is surprisingly generous! After settling in for a bit, I headed out to grab some food. Hakata ramen at Shin Shin. Then, a cup of iced coffee and some cake—just relaxing. Planning the next part of my trip. Stopped by Fuglen Coffee Fukuoka. Time for a quick rundown of the key highlights from my Fukuoka trip. It’s super windy here—I’ve made it across to Shimonoseki! Right here is Karato Market.
