Omihachiman Day Trip | La Collina, Hachimangu Shrine & Canal Walk
Hello everyone! This time, we’re starting our trip from Nagoya instead of Osaka. We had a consulate event in the morning in Nagoya. and now my friend and I are heading to Omihachiman for a relaxing afternoon. It’s a cloudy and slightly rainy day but it already feels like a peaceful day ahead Finally, after several transfers (and a bit of train confusion) we’ve arrived at Omihachiman Station! 🙌 Quick coffee stop at the station’s convenience store. and off to explore Omihachiman before the day ends! Some cream puffs to go with coffee. It’s hard to choose! It’s so soft and fresh, just melts in your mouth. We’re now off to visit La Collina first, by local bus. The driver seems to genuinely love his job. Such good energy! “Olley, good day! It’s so peaceful here,” my friend said we are just a little too excited! La Collina is a famous sweets shop and garden complex in Omihachiman. It’s known for its grass-roof building and fairytale-like atmosphere. These kinds of places always lift my mood. I get so excited just walking around! The whole place is surrounded by nature it feels calm, fresh, and a little magical. It’s based on a concept called “Satoyama” where people and nature live side by side. It really does feel like the building grew right out of the ground. This place is surrounded by so much green it’s peaceful and lively Around the building, there are rice fields and small gardens they’re not just for show. It’s all part of the idea that people and nature can grow together. Now let’s take a look inside where all the sweets and goodies are. Inside, they sell sweets, local souvenirs, and there’s even a café The second floor is actually a café The ceiling looks quite interesting. Okay, I got a little dizzy. One of the most famous sweets here is the Baumkuchen a layered cake originally from Germany, but it’s now commonly sold in Japan They have many kinds of sweets and snacks here Some jellies I’m bringing this La Collina sweet back to work as a little souvenir. Let’s go take a look upstairs! It’s actually not very crowded right now, we came near closing time. there’s still more farmland all around. Let’s take a slow walk before heading back. It’s starting to rain gently. This place is bigger than I expected. Definitely worth taking your time here. There are some other cute little shops here as well. A little more Baumkuchen! Club Harie is the Shiga-based sweets brand, and famous for Baumkuchen Here, you can watch how Baumkuchen and Dorayaki are made. The production area is on the ground floor. We came a bit late, so most of it had already finished maybe next time! Lets head outside Another interesting shop here We’re now heading toward the center by walking Places like this make me feel like I’ve just watched a movie with a happy ending. The kind of films where, after all the chaos and tears, the characters finally find peace. It is clear that these flowers were grown with love and care. Being here feels like spending a quiet weekend with my grandparents. For some reason, daisies always remind me of my grandmother. Seeing them so often today made me think of her… and realize how much I still miss her. Wherever she is, I know it’s peaceful and warm, just like how she made me feel. She’s in the daisies, the soft wind, the flowing water. And somehow, still with me. Time to move on. We’re heading to Himure Hachimangu Shrine next. The calmness of this town is both lovely and a little surprising. The whole area feels very quiet and respectful Despite being close to the center of town, the shrine feels hidden in nature. The shrine dates back over 1,000 years and is dedicated to Hachiman, the god of war and protection. It used to be the guardian shrine of the nearby castle town. just being here makes you want to pause for a moment. Thank you for the peace and stillness We’re now walking toward the Hachiman-bori Canal one of the most scenic spots in town. This canal once supported trade boats during the Edo period now it’s a peaceful place to walk and breathe. Normally, you can take a boat ride along the Hachiman-bori Canal but it seems we missed the last one for today. Even though we couldn’t take the boat ride, just walking around here was really nice. Once a busy trading town now it feels like the quiet home of someone who’s lived a full, happy life. Our little trip is coming to an end time to catch the train home. We got a bit hungry after all that walking, so… burger time before the train! On the way home now, back to work tomorrow. This trip wasn’t planned, but it turned out to be a really nice day. Gene masalsı bir dünyanın içine bizi dahil ettin. Çok güzel mekanlar ve görmediğimiz tür yiyecekler. Devamını bekliyoruz.
First and foremost, I wish you a happy Eid al-Adha. You've found a lovely spot again. This time, the place had a more relaxed and genuine vibe. While other places felt like an anime scene, I found this one much more authentic. As always, the composition, music choices, and editing skills were outstanding.
Yine harika görüntüler.Şöför beyin tavrı çok hoş. İşini severek, nezaketle yapan insanlar iyiki varlar.
