72 Hours in Tokyo’s Organized Chaos (Japan)

Today I explore the most popular areas of Tokyo, Japan. I see the night life of the Shinjuku area and make my way to the Shibuya crossing. Tokyo, Japan has quirky cafes, advanced tech, and amazing food that I try in this video. Japan has had issues with over tourism in recent years; in this video I’ll explore the main attractions in Tokyo, Japan to see if it’s worth visiting.

πŸŽ₯ My videos are always free to watch, and I never ask for tips or donations. But if you’d like to say thank you and support the channel in a small way, it’s truly appreciated. πŸ™ paypal.me/jonathanEscapes

  1. Are you in Japan?
    well come to our country.
    Im fun of your video.
I hope you visit our island named Yoron island located very cosed to okinawa.
Im manager of YURIGAHAMbeach house in Yoron island.

  2. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good video thanks for sharing. Having said that, I used my Google translator all the time. Mind you I couldn't sleeping in those casket beds since I'm claustrophobic. In addition, I have a very strong sense of smell.

  3. Omoide Yokocho translates to Memory lane. Also known as Piss Alley and the story is that in the old days there were no toilets there so people just…. well, you get the picture πŸ˜„
I've been there twice and I highly recomend people to visit.
You missed the Golden Gai bars tho… Super cool place to meet locals and people from all over the worldπŸ‘

  4. I lived in Japan for almost 5 years, and it always amazed me that I was on the biggest US Air Base in the pacific, and I could right out the gate, and no one spoke any English, but yet I could go to Thailand or the PI, and there was no shortage of English speakers. I preferred Family Mart or Lawsons to 7/11 in Japan as well.

  5. Thanks again for sharing your Japan experience this time. Very cool places you went to like cafe shops.

  6. We went to Japan last year, and I loved it! The only thing I really hated about it was the "be very quiet" rule in some restaurants. I get that it's a cultural thing, and I did follow the rules, but it felt like when I was at a relative's place as a kid, and every move I made, I got scolded.

  7. Hi Jonathan you really did a good job to portray this very part of Japan it’s busy not many speak English needs follow not to speak too laud n you still execute it beautifully. Thank you you did a good job cairns Australia

  8. Official rule is Fill steps ,no passing lane . People, I suppose, just do not want to stand by stranger. It had worked to generate passing lane as a result and we do'nt know anymore what it was for . Anyway, it's not a rule to form a,passing lane .

  9. Great video Jonathan, I need to go back to Tokyo, 5 days were not enough, I need to watch your other videos on Japan also. Thank you!!😊

  10. You covered a lot in a single video –the food, the people, their culture, from the main road to the alleys, their recreation areas, the capsule hotels, the train station. Watching this feels like touring the country. Great job! πŸ‘ The game with the balls was funny tho. I think the robot misunderstood you. haha

  11. Hey mate, the camera quality seems very poor (great content obviously making up for vid quality) was just curious what camera are you using?

  12. 8:06
    βœ‹ she sells seashells
πŸ‘‰ shushed by the sushi chef

Always love your vids. I hope you got more of Japan. Cheers!

  13. Great video again! So the game with the balls is called Pachinko. Its like a pinball slot machine basically where one ball equates to either 1 or 4 yen depending on which machine. You then try to shoot the balls into a small hole toward the bottom. Once you get one in, you essentially get a chance at a jackpot. When you are done playing, you get a card (imagine like Dave and Busters points card) and you can redeem it for prizes that are in the place. That being said, the MAIN prize is actually precious metals like gold or silver which then you go to a shop usually next door to sell for cash. Its a gambling loop hole since its technically banned in Japan. This is much more gambling as opposed to gaming like you would at an arcade.

  14. I saw your video. Japan is very cool place. I need to watch your
Other videos in japan. Would you continue Vlogging other parts of japan.
I'am fun of your videos.. Enjoy your day spend in japan.
    Take care… πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

  15. Natto is a must if you are in Japan just try it , and you will feel healthy like a Japanese πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ‘πŸ‘

  16. Tokyo,Japan is comfort place for me.. There's something there that gives me happy jitters, a happy feeling when I walk around.

  17. You should get a Suica or Pasmo card when you arrive at the airport. It’s so convenient! Also Millennials looked so nice! I will try the Dawn avatar cafe next time I’m in Tokyo!

  18. I have been to Tokyo long ago, and to Narita both many years ago there has been some changes. Thanks for sharing it's almost bringing back the Over charge of energy lol there's a lot almost to much to see and do. Plan not to see or do it all on a short trip. Months might cover it. Lol… Thanks for sharing and thanks for showing the wonderful foods which is just teasing hahahah take care, and love your content been following awhile. Keep up the great work..

  19. The best restaurant in Japan is with the local ambiance. Look at your back wall peeling off, the older guy cooking guarantee a super oishii tabemono.

  20. A strong smoke smell which means most of the guys in Japan smoke, to see their thrown cigarette butts some of them were half smoked. The rule breaker is a foreigner of course.

  21. I think you like to play Pachinko, when I was in Japan, they discouraged me to play it because of it's ties with the local organized crime.

  22. This is my second time I watched your robot cafe vlog but cannot find your original vlog as well as your other vlog in Japan.
