I’m looking into getting a new car after my younger brother customized it so well the insurance company bought it from us. I’m in love with JDM but also sports wagon styling. The biggest examples of JDM sports wagons I could find were the late 90s Nissan Stagea’s, but was wondering if anyone had some good recommendations?

Crown estate, older Cressida estates, stagea. My personal favorites

  2. The M35 Stagea is a good car, it’s just let down by the engine. They’re OK but do have their issues with the turbo engine. I had one but the engine was just never quite right.

The C34 is the pick if you want a better motor, it’s just a bit dated in other areas so you lose a few of the creature comforts compared to the M35.

If I had my time again I’d get a series 2 M35 with the NA 3.5L engine rather than the turbo 2.5L.

The caldina is basically a late 90s celica GT but a wagon. Just saw one sell at auction for a little over 200,000¥

This is an Evo IX wagon I bought for my wife’s birthday a few years ago. Absolutely love it, people comment on it all the time because of how rare it is. Don’t think they’re available for import to the US for another 5 years though, if that’s were you are

If you aren’t in the US, the good news is it’s another 5 years before the price of these goes freakin’ stupid like happened with everything else

Bugeye Subaru Impreza wagon, I had one and I liked it.
Subaru Forester STI when lowered and wheels look like a big wagon

I had a BG5 Legacy GT that was a great big bus, you could get an amazing amount of stuff in the back and it had 280 bhp. What I will say is it was terrible on fuel lol 13 mpg (UK) if you were having fun.

Definitely the Evo Wagon! I may be biased…
