You Must Try this Aomori Apple

What’s not to like about Aomori? I just fell in love with the place after a visit in February. The air was clean and crisp, the food was great—especially seafood. And the apples—I think they’re the best in all of Japan!!! They are everywhere!
And so I was super excited to see Aomori apples sold at our supermarket this week! The Shinano Gold variety is just one of them and I am glad I bought them—super tasty, crunchy, and with the right hint of tartness. If you’re only familiar with Fuji apples, this one is real gold and you must try if you ever see them at a grocery store.
