I took an overnight vending machine ferry from Ibaraki to Hokkaido.
But the ride was so rough, it turned into the worst trip ever.

  1. Well that was certainly an unlucky journey. That ship certainly shows its age. Hope you at least enjoyed yourself in Tomakomai. And hopefully the next ferry trip will be smoother.

  2. Hello Mr. Experience Japan. My hat is off to you, I don't know how you managed this very rockin Sunflower. Holy Moly. Now I know why I don't ship much because if I would of been there I would of had my head in the toilet. No way I got a little sick at my stomach by just watching it rock. I had to take a sick stomach medicine. But I enjoy watching you all the time. I hope you didn't get to sick. See you on your next video 😊

  3. When I.m on a ferry in my country, it is always packed with people. It looks so weird….Greetings from Holand..

  4. Lmao!!! My husband bought me a cruise trip for my 50th birthday. I’d been on tiny boats … love water etc, but a cruise ship is totally a different monster. We set out for the Bahamas in the first hurricane of the season and I literally thought I was going to die. I knew I was in trouble before we even left, the vibration of the boat just being docked make me feel queasy. I spent 3 days flat on my back …. No food, drinks, fun. My husband was so pissed, but it’s not like you plan on something like that.

  5. Well, i for one, am humming the sunflower song. Softly, while looking around at all the kinda grossness 😊😮

  6. If you take ferries regularly, it would be prudent to have motion sickness medicine permanently packed in your carry on luggage. I've not been at sea, but I've gotten carsick/trainsick at times, and once I started doing that my trips were just that bit better.

  7. Yeahhh . . . this was certainly one of your more adventurous adventures. With how quiet and empty it was, sometimes it felt more like you were stowing away on a ghost ship. 😅

Although I will say, despite the not-so-nice trip, everyone who worked on the ferry seemed pretty friendly and professional, and it was kind of interesting to see a side of Japan that is a little rougher around the edges.

Thanks for braving motion sickness and cold beds to bring us an entertaining and informative video! (And here's hoping the next one is a lot more relaxing to make, lol.)
