These past 4 days, all of the exchange students in District 2610, in Japan, went on our Rotary Trip! I had an amazing time! The song used is “Feel this moment” because at Universal Studios, we all rode on a ride that played this song while we rode! We were all partying on the coaster and it was amazing!
Day 1: We traveled from Kanazawa to Hiroshima! We went to Miyajima which was absolutely beautiful! We took a fairy ride over to the island and spent about 2 hours there. The island had tons of deer and amazing shops! We all bought momiji monoju’s which are a famous treats in Hiroshima! After we visited the shrine and it was absolutely beautiful. Later, we then went to the hotel and went for dinner.
Day 2: Woke up quiet early to head to the Hiroshima dome. It was extremely sad and very touching. We walked through the museum and then visited the actually spot that the dome was dropped on Hiroshima. We then walked along side the river and I saw my first cherry blossoms! It was gorgeous! I actually started to cry at this point because I realized how lucky I am to be in Japan, and that I may never return. We then went for famous Hiroshima Okonomiyaki with yakisoba inside! It was yummy! Following, we visited Himeji Castle and got to tour the inside. It was amazing. We then travelled to Osaka and checked into our hotel before dinner.
Day 3: Today we were up early again to set out to Universal Studios! It was very busy because it is spring break in Japan! A lot of people kept staring at our big group of foreigners and many asked to take pictures with us! I had a lot of fun this day! We all rode roller coasters together, had lunch and watched street performances! All of us were exhausted by the end of the say as we were there from 9am-10pm! After, we returned the to hotel and had a spa night!
Day 4: The last day! We went to the tallest office building in Japan and looked over Osaka. We sat in a cafe that over-looked the city and it was very cool. To end off the trip, we had the chance to shop for 4 hours in Namba (the largest shopping district in Osaka) It was also very cool. I bought quiet a bit of things! After, we boarded the train again and headed home.
I had an amazing trip and I cannot believe that it is already over. I would like to thank Rotary for everything they did. I cannot express my gratitude enough!
