MT. FUJI TRAVEL DIARIES | onsen, beef cutlet restaurant, fufu kawaguchiko, hotel kaneyamaen, ryokans
[Music] We made it. But I’m having a little bit of a headache and we’re still too early for a bus to um Shinjuku. So we came to the last airport to get some car sweat. I’m going to take an Advil to eventually leave my headache. [Music] This is the best coffee I’ve ever had. for my morning. We just had coffee here and the coffee is so good. Best coffee I’ve ever had. Yeah, definitely coming back in the future. It’s maybe the material picks it up. [Music] Oh, [Music] more beer bite. This is really good. [Music] Maybe you should make a vlog. It’s really good. You don’t [Music] Miami station. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Okay, we just got to our first hotel room. I’ve stayed here before, but let’s do a quick tour. So, this is the bathroom, and we have a shower and a tub. And this is probably the bath toilet. What is this? It’s for a shoe. A shoehorn. Oh, wow. A toilet. And then a lot of real cons in Japan or traditional Japanese hotels do two beds. It’s always like that. And we chose a western style room. We didn’t want to Tommy cuz I think Justin just preferred not to. And we have our clothes here, a little bar here, and this living room. And we got the Mount Fuji view room this time. So, you can see it here. It’s so pretty. And we have a balcony, but we’re not going to go out right now. So, I just got back from doing for the first time this trip, and that was great. not as great as I wanted it to be. Not because this place is not great, but because I just literally got my period. So, doing it is not as fun. And I’m just like having a really bad headache. I think it’s from like the jet lag. And I’m so tired because I’ve basically been up. It’s like 400 p.m. right now. And I’ve basically been up since like 900 p.m. yesterday. So, I’m exhausted. I’ve been having a headache for the whole entire day. So, I just like cut it short and I came back to the room and I’m think I’m just going to take a nap. Like I really want to do a lot like go to the wine bar, explore, blah blah blah, but I think I should just take it easy today and not force myself. A few moments later. So good. My favorite so far. [Music] Did you see [Music] This is why we got the Mount Fuji view. And now I see the the value. I really wanted a cold beer, but it doesn’t open till 7. [Music] This is what I got so far. What Justin got. [Music] Deep breath. [Music] [Music] Oh, that moment when you just soak in and that water feels so cold. Cold. And I love And I put the port over my head. into the cold water. [Music] Yeah, this is very mild. This is trans rosé. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] A little bit of like white snow. You see that? Yeah. It’s so pretty. 10:36 local train bomb for Tako station will arrive soon at track 3. But they’re all on time. I just dial first. We have arrived at the entrance for Chetto Pagod and it is quite the climb but the weather is good but the clouds are starting to form around Mount Fuji so we got to be fast. [Music] Papa [Music] [Music] Oh wow. So tender. [Music] There you go. [Music] What is today? [Music] So, It’s like 6:00 a.m. in the morning and I just got back from my onsen. Justin got back first and he messages me. I need to tell you something. I’ve decided and this is what he has to tell me. I’ve had the most amazing realization. I never felt more relaxed and at peace over the last few days. So, I’m moving to Japan. I’m moving to Japan after my MBA. I’m going to start learning Japanese and I’m going to recruit for Japanese private credit or Asian private credit based out of Japan after my NBA. Let’s see how long this lasts. Guess we’re moving to Japan. Bye-bye. This is a hotel. Let’s go there and wait. Yeah, we can put our stuff down and wait. Yeah. [Music] Going to stop here. [Music] It’s so pretty. [Applause] [Music] Fore magic. [Music] [Music] So, story time. We were went to this sake brewery called Ide Sake Brewery and we biked there after lunch. But then as we were getting there, we see a huge line. And it looked really fun. And there’s this guy that’s hanging hand handing out like the brochure. Yeah. To go in. And he literally went to me and he was like, “No, no.” And I was like, “Wait, what?” And he kept pointing to my bike saying, “No, no.” And I didn’t understand why. And then like all the Japanese people around him were like, “Ah.” And they looked like really pitiful towards us. And then he did an action where they he was like, “No, no.” and he pretended to like hold a bike and walk with it. He’s like, “Okay.” So, basically, we could not drink and ride a bike back. And we didn’t realize that at all until that moment. I guess that would be considered drinking and driving. So, anyway, we decided not to because there’s no way we could push the bike back the whole entire time. We barely made it here by walking, let alone push a bike back. So, we decided against it and then we biked back near our hotel and now we’re at the cafe. Just going to get a drink here and look at the beautiful mountain. [Music] This one on the first floor. Thank you. We just checked in to our hotel room at Fufu and room tour time. So, this is the outside shoe that they gave us and we’re wearing the inside shoe right now. And if we need to change our glasses or towels, we would put it here. And then we’ll click pick up the item, which is pretty cool. We got a mirror here. This is the toilet. So, it’s separated from the rest of the bathroom. So, the toilet, Japanese toilet, and then we have the bedroom. It’s like two twin beds, and they combined it together. Um, and so I guess it looks like one huge bed. There’s some amenity bags. Yeah. And then the closets are here. We have outdoor clothes here. And then PJs are in here. And then this is the living room, which is super nice. We have a little study desk there. Uh, TV. Living room. Our stuff came in. And then look at this. Look at this view. You can’t see Mount Fuji from here. Do you see that? This view is amazing. This is the bathroom. This is like the vanity area. And this is the shower. Typical Japanese kind of shower before you go into the onen. I’ll show you guys later. But we have a I’ll show you guys now. an outdoor onen. This is our private outdoor onen. It’s so nice. And you can sit here and look at Mount Fuji. Pretty cool. And they also give you like a waterproof TV that we can like use in the shower. That’s what she said, which is pretty interesting. Anyway, back to the living room. It is such a big room, you guys. So, this is basically like a indoor outdoor balcony. It’s a part of the room. But if we want, this is a fireplace. And she said that if we want the fireplace, we can call and they’ll come set it up and they’ll probably close this thing and open that thing so it becomes like a balcony and we can sit here and look at the view. And that’s the outdoor onen. Justin’s all ready in the new outfit to go to onen. I’m going to change and go to onen too, but he’s like way too excited. So, he’s headed out first. I like my outfit. [Music] [Music] camera [Music] like it’s time for dinner. Well, it’s not time for dinner. It’s like 5:00. But we’re going to go to drinks first before dinner. And I am dying. My eyes are closing. I’m having a hard time, guys. I’m so sleepy. I really like the lounge clothes they give you here. They’re really comfy and they’re kind of cute in a way. I guess they’re like kind of modern. Ready for dinner. Oh, let me put the Japanese socks on. They’re really funny. They all have like the big toe just like individual and then the four toes together. Oh, it’s not Japanese socks. That’s western socks. Is it? Yeah. Let’s go. Please don’t do that. You said be normal. You look like you’re like a dad with a robe to get the mail. [Music] smoke chip is a cherry cherry plus very tasty. So, we’re just chilling at the lounge/b [Music] bar before dinner. I think there’s like half an hour left and it’s so relaxing over here. There’s like some kind of trans music. I’m falling asleep. I’m struggling to keep my eyes open. But this hotel is just so relaxing. That that’s kind of all I’m going to say. [Music] That’s amazing. [Music] Wow. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. That’s too good. I I want more of this. Oh my god. M. Oh my god. I love the texture. I like [Music] it. Wow. [Music] [Music] Wow. My god. [Music] Perfect. Melts in your mouth. [Music] Wow. So good. [Music] We just finished our last course, which is the rice. Well, it’s second to last cuz we self dessert. But at this point, we are literally delirious because we’re exhausted. We have really bad food coma and we’re dying from heat as [Music] well. Roasted apple. So good. [Music] The firewood. [Music] Oh my god. This is incredible. Sky is so clear. You can see constellations. Wow. Those are constellations. What’s What does that mean? [Music] Time to test the bed. It’s really comfy. It feels so good. I’m ready to sleep. Good [Music] night, guys. So, I woke up at 4:30 and Justin woke up like an hour later and then he went to Onen, of course, and I’m over here just uploading all my footage and photos onto my camera and hard disc cuz we do not want to lose anything. But I’m just on my computer and look at this insane view. Look at this. It’s going to be a clear day and this view is just It’s insane. It’s out of this world. Just seeing Fuji from here. It’s just so beautiful. [Music] You can see the view of Mount Fuji from here and it’s just breathtaking. This is amazing. I don’t want to leave. [Music] [Music] ready for breakfast. Justin has been lurking at me for the last half an hour just waiting for every step of the way cuz he wants to go to breakfast so badly. I’ve never seen Justin so so so hungry for breakfast before. I’m hungry at home. You never eat breakfast. Yes, but why? Why? Because cuz it’s not Japan. It’s not Japan. Once I moved to Japan, I’ll eat breakfast. [Music] [Music] Oh, it’s so nice. [Music] This is so good. I’m going to try that one. Thank you. [Music] That’s right. [Music] Don’t. [Music] [Music]
