Tokyo | June 5, 2025 —Renowned manga artist and self-proclaimed clairvoyant Ryo Tatsuki, often referred to as the “Japanese Baba Vanga,” has stirred widespread panic with her chilling prediction of a massive tsunami expected to hit Japan on July 5, 2025. The resulting hysteria has led to a dramatic 83% decline in flight bookings to the country, particularly from East Asian nations.

According to Bloomberg Intelligence, summer bookings from Hong Kong are down 50% year-on-year. Travel agencies report widespread cancellations, with many would-be tourists either postponing or rerouting their vacations away from Japan due to fear of a natural disaster.

A Hong Kong travel operator reported:
