Can You Survive A Night Out In Osaka?

[Music] Hello and welcome to Osaka, Japan. We are going to be experiencing some of Osaka’s night life. Compai. I don’t even smoke, but we’re in Japan, so we have to do what the Japanese do, which is rip sigs and drink in public. So, let’s start the night off right. [Music] Listen, I haven’t had one of these [Music] yet. I think this is what’s called a chuhai. I don’t know. I don’t think I’m reading it right, obviously. But it’s like a mix of shou and soda. So, let’s go. [Music] 217. Okay. Two. [Music] Two. Boom. Boom. Oh, too many. I can’t count. [Music] Hello. Like any good night in Japan, started off with alcohol chilling outside somewhere. And yes, it is legal. Not a photo. By the way, this cost me 217 yen. I just did the conversion here. That’s $144. So, the fact that everyone here isn’t an alcoholic is beyond me honestly just cuz the easy access. Yeah, pretty pretty lively, pretty popping. A lot of people walking around and a lot of locals too. Japan is a pretty homogeneous country. So, like 98% of the population are ethnically Japanese, which coming from America obviously is uh it’s strange because we’re just so used to diversity, you know. Um, but I like it. I like being immersed in this and no one knowing what the [ __ ] I’m saying cuz no one speaks English for the most part. That [Music] is I think this is where we’re trying to go to. Let’s go check it out. I believe we just walked into Nitara Kaiiken. So this building is called Mitera Kaiiken. Nestled in Osaka’s vibrant Shin Sibashi district. From the outside looks kind of like an office, right? But inside it’s like 60 tiny bars stacked on top of each other. Some are cute, some are kind of sketchy, but it’s chaotic in the best way possible. You just pick a floor and see what happens. See what’s over here. Bar hobo. [Music] How are you? [Music] Very cool. Can you speak the Japanese? Unfortunately, no. I can translate for you though. All right. This spot is cool. No English. No English. English? Yeah. No. No. Okay. No worries. This guy can’t speak English, but it’s okay. I’ll take whatever your favorite drink is. Hi, me. Uh, hi B. Let’s go. Redwood. Hi. I’m American. American. Yes. Yeah. American. Which state? Uh, I live in uh Philadelphia. Philadelphia. Yeah. Yeah. Pennsylvania. What’s up? Yeah. Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania. Yeah. Yeah. Pennsylvania. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [Music] Traveling alone. Yes. America. USA music. Good music. Yeah. Visible swingy. Yeah. What’s this? Oh, this is just a little camera to document. Yeah. To document my journey. Yeah. Your journey. Yeah. All as well. Well, um I’m trying. Yes. Yes. I hope it’s okay. Compai. Kai. Yes. [Music] You made this one a bit stronger, huh? Nothing wrong with you. I think you did. I think you did. No, no, no. You go with the chopsticks. And you’re pretty handy with it. Oh, yeah. I’m good with chopsticks. Yeah. I’ve been um I’ve been chopsticking for a minute. His name is Yes. Yes. Bob Dylan. Yeah. [Music] Style. Oh yeah. You know it really. But Japan is really cool. Like um one second I’ll translate it for you. I’ve never been to a place where it is set up like this with all these small bars. It is really cool. Wow. Very cool. Yeah. Only Japan has this. Ah only Japan. Yeah. I mean, I think so. Oh, nowhere in America has this. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. Japan number one. [Laughter] What was this building before all of the bars were here? I think [Music] Same Japanese old style. No, snack. We call snack. Snack. Uh g and five cc side just like a G woman’s bar. Wow. And uh men and [Music] Wait. Wait. So, wait, wait, wait, wait. So, you’re saying like like uh wait like small like this? Like this? No, no, no. Maybe [Laughter] it’s so funny. Oh, man. So funny. All right, brother. I’m going to um I’m going to walk around and see what else. But nice to be young. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. All right. Well, thank you, brother. Appreciate it. Thank you. Nice meeting you, man. All right. I’ll see you guys. Bye-bye. Enjoy. I will. Hello. Hello. Do you know this place meet? That’s That’s this building that we’re in right now. It’s the whole building. Are you looking for a specific bar? I’m going to ask. Oh, this place looks cool. Oh my god, they love Bob Dylan here, huh? Hello. One one more. Okay. Or not enough room. Yeah. Uh I guess I sit here. Okay. Okay. Yes. Yes. You want to be You want to be in the video? Oh, you’re talking about saying I’m in I’m a YouTuber. I guess I’ll sit here alone though. It’s okay. I’ll be I’ll be alone over here. Okay. What’s What’s up? You from? Oh, where I’m from? America. America. Yeah. Uh was it USA? USA. No, Japan. Japan number one. Japan number one. What was it? Why do you like Japan? Why do I like Japan? Because you guys are awesome. Why do you like Japan? I I’ll translate. I’ll translate. The culture is amazing. The attention to detail to everything. I love it all. [Laughter] This is so funny. They’re asking me why I love Japan. And they’re all applauding. What is it? How is Osaka? [Music] Yeah, local. Yeah. Yeah. What am I saying? What is that? Are you Are you saying that I’m like stupid? How old are you? 29. 29. Why? Why? Why is that so funny? What’s so funny? Is that young? Too young or too old? I’m old. Me old or you old? What’s that? You’re older? She’s older. How old do I think she is? Oh, that’s a I’ll say uh 32. 32. You Oh, you want the hug? You want the hug? Okay. 24. Oh, she’s not. She’s lying. Lie. Compai. [Music] Kai. Kai. legend. Do you think uh Osaka better than Tokyo? Better Saka number one. Number one. Yeah. No picture. Oh yeah. Yeah. [Laughter] See you again. See you again. See you again. Wait. I still need to pay this man though. I still need to pay him. I think. Uh, here we go. Thank you. Thank you. Guinea. Okay. Byebye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Cheers. Cheers. Nice meeting you guys. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Oh my god. Bye. See you. [Laughter] Oh, that was awesome. Oh my god, that was so cool. Let’s see what else there is to explore, [Music] though. Second floor. Let’s see what’s up here. Some more cool little spots, maybe. Let’s see. See what we got. Let me see if there’s any English speakers. That’s what I’m looking for. Let’s There’s people in here. One more. One one seat. You take Is that okay? Yeah, of course. We’re We were already leaving. Okay. So, it’s not like that you you’re going to chill here and then we’re going to leave. No, it’s You should stay, though. I know. Now, you should stay. Where are you guys from? We’re from uh Amsterdam. Amsterdam. No way. I went there last year. Best [ __ ] city. Oh, sick. Where you from? Uh, America. Oh, yeah. Where? Uh, Philadelphia. Oh, sick. Yeah. Yeah. Sick. I was there last year, man. What’s that? I was there last year? You was in Philly? Philly? No way. Dude, I [ __ ] love Amsterdam. It’s actually like one of my favorite places ever. Nice. It is very cool. Super weird as [ __ ] Yeah. Yeah. 100%. No, I mean I had a good time though, but it was weird. No, Amsterdam’s amazing though. I will actually if I if I didn’t live in America, I would be living in the Netherlands and in Amsterdam. It’s the best city. I love America. You don’t have to say that though. It’s okay. No, I do because I I’ve been DJing there for like 5 years now and I’m up so much. I love the people there. It’s so much fun. It’s so nice. And every [ __ ] like city is different. Like it’s so cool. If you So we’re going to walk around. Yeah. So if you feel lonely, uh search. Okay, that sounds good. I want to stay. Got you. Got you. Sorry. I go So you guys you guys are all Dutch, everyone? Yeah. Yeah, everyone. Yeah, we we all from the same uh primary school. Nice. Wow. So, you guys are you go Oh, that’s my book. Yeah. Yeah. No, we go way back. Yeah. Yeah. Hell yeah. Oh, this is a chill vibe. Yeah, the Dutch. You guys are all tall and handsome. You’re big, fat, gay, and addictive. Get me some eyeballs and then have a cigarette. Secondhand smoking is a lot into juice parties. You guys are all about that. We got the Huh? We got the the toys. This is why you came to Japan, just to get these on discount. Super sex. Tomorrow is a big shopping day. My ex-girlfriend used to call my dick Leroy. Get to know Leroy. Leroy. Leroy. Come party. Your new one. He doesn’t like the name. Who would like the name Lero? And you think And do you think that is because she walks funny after meeting Leroy or is it something else? [Applause] [Music] I’m about to [ __ ] up my wife. Is that what you think about when you think about Americans? Is that What do most Europeans think about Americans? Everybody want Everybody loves guns. No, I absolutely don’t think America is like that. But you have the cliche with the wife beater with a white uh t-shirt without sleeves. [Music] At at my at my work, uh there’s an a personal trainer and she’s from Florida. Oh, okay. Oh, so she used to study there and she used to live there and um she says when I go back to Florida, everyone in Florida thinks like Europe or anything that’s not American. This is [ __ ] stupid. So yeah, you you could videotape this was please like uh use it with hesitation, you know, like don’t put me in a bad position. Yeah. Yeah. Otherwise I I would 100% be canled. I was I was going to Disney World Orlando. I was I was in this car with this guy and I said like, “Oh my god, what the [ __ ] This school shooting just happened. Like, what the [ __ ] We need Why is this still guns? Like, why?” And he’s like, “Yeah, we need more guns. More guns. Like, every [ __ ] primary school, every school has to have soldiers in front.” And then I was like in the car and I was like, “Oh, fuck.” Uh, I forgot that there are also people who think like that, you know. M and not saying they’re right or wrong, but like for as in European, it’s like there’s no guns everywhere. Uh it’s very so strange to hear these kind of opinions and things, you know. Uh but in I think like in in that way like America is kind of in a weird place right now especially when the last uh elections were you know like it was either Trump uh or it was like this this Yeah it was Trump or or it was this lady or lady who lady which lady which lady uh Harris so it was like Trump or this lady who wasn’t quite ready maybe So, it was like I asked all my all my American friends like, “Hey, what what do you think?” And everybody’s like, “Yeah, I don’t know.” Like, it’s such a [ __ ] weird position right now, you know? Uh, and it’s also so super sensitive. Um, about who is voting who and what is like what is the best? It’s It’s not the best. It’s not like we’re voting for the best one. No, we’re both voting for someone that’s might be the least worst position. I’m I’m never going to play in America again after this video. No, you’re [ __ ] good. You’re not saying anything bad. What I’ve experienced is from the And it’s just based upon someone who is from the US is living in the Netherlands right now. She said like um uh the US is just at a [ __ ] place right now. It is. Uh, and it’s very difficult to have a like a proper uh uh opinion about anything right now. Mhm. A proper proper [ __ ] Uh, no, but she she’s from Florida and Florida is quite quite [ __ ] I love America and a lot of people don’t love America, you know, because I love America as well. I went two times and uh I really want to live there in the future. Really? Yeah. Where where did you go? Malibu in Miami. My dream has been Malibu living. What like a big thing about America is that what Dutchies or Europeans hate is that they all say like Americans are very uh fake. So like oh you come into a coffee shop and you ask for a coffee and they ask to you like hey how are you? Uh well oh they don’t even mean it. Like they don’t even mean it. And then you say like hey how are you? And I’m like, it’s it’s not it’s not like it’s not like they’re very interested about how are you exactly, but it’s more like a way of manners. Yeah. Just like you come into a shop and they’re like, “Hey, how are you? Are you all good?” Like, “Hey, what do you want?” Yeah. Yeah. The same goes like Yeah. I got very in Turkey, but like all the Europe, I was like, “Oh, American fake.” It’s just like this is manners. As the night progressed, the boys wanted to get a traditional Turkish meal. I think they were craving a little bit of a taste from home since that is a common restaurant in the Netherlands. Cheers for the boys. Cheers for the boys. Bear the boys. Amen. Shoot it. [Music] We outside. I didn’t film too much in the restaurant just because, you know, at this point of the night, I was very drunk. Very nice. Nice to meet you, man. Likewise, have a great time here and uh hope you we’ll meet again. All right, and that is a wrap on a night in Osaka. These Dutch guys got me way too drunk. And uh yeah, that’s it. That was That’s what it is. That’s what travel is. Just meeting with random people and getting super [ __ ] drunk with them. That’s the vibe. [ __ ] yeah. Yo, dude, we’re in Japan. I’m so drunk. This is probably not going to make it in the video, but dude, this is where it’s at, right? This is so funny. Check this [Music] out. Yo, Asaka number one. Saka number one 100%. Best [ __ ] spot here. Let’s [ __ ] go.

What’s it really like partying in Osaka? I went out alone and ended up deep inside Japan’s wildest bars, hidden local spots, and late-night backstreets — no script, just raw moments. This is the nightlife they don’t show in tourist brochures.

This video is part of a raw, ongoing documentary-style series I’m calling GOBE — a project that blends immersive travel, unexpected encounters, and unscripted storytelling. It’s not about hitting tourist checklists — it’s about what you find when you go off script and actually connect.
