I started vlogging my Tokyo trip, but I just wanted to enjoy it, so I stopped after three days.
We are headed to Japan. Well, technically we’re going to Toronto and then Japan. It’s 3:00 a.m. here in Atlanta and I’m about to head to the airport. Made it through security. They made me check my carry-on, which is okay cuz I I I didn’t really have anything in there. I ain’t got my personal bag, but got some apple juice because your girl was thirsty. Your girl had a headache. And I don’t even remember the last meal I had. And it’s like 4 o’clock, but we bored in like an hour. I think like an hour 30 minutes. And we’re headed to Toronto. [Music] All right, we are here in Toronto, Canada in the airport and it’s still the morning time, so we got to get some breakfast. For the breakfast, we went to this place called Customuilt Burgers. And I got me a double egg and bacon sandwich for a whopping $16.94. Is it worth it? I just noticed everything was in Canadian. So, it was actually $12. So, I take it back. It was worth it. Is it worth it? Is it worth it? I’ll let y’all look at it. It’s got some lettuce on it. It smells good. I will say it smells good, but I’m also very hungry. I forgot to say no cheese, but we’re just going to deal with that [Music] later. That’s what I’m trying to figure out. Is it worth $16? It’s solid. It’s got a lot of stuff in [Music] it. Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Chicken tacos and apple juice. [Music] First meal. Now the bedet settings are crazy. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] All right, y’all. We are trying McDonald’s in Japan. Y’all wouldn’t see me eat at McDonald’s back in the States, but you know, when you out of the country, you got to try you got to try everything. So, it’s still morning time, so we got a chicken McMuffin. We got What do they call this? Oh, just a hash brown. And then we got a iced caramel latte. Like 500 yen. $3. $351 cents. All of this. So I already know I’m going like this. [Music] So hash browns are hash browns, you know. Here my ice latte, baby. Oh, okay. Cool. It’s just less sweet. little chicken [Music] McMuffin. It’s time to find something to drink at a 7-Eleven. Oh, they have wine. I thought they have wine. You getting lit chat or what? They have prime. Where they have prime? Oh, yeah. Got some sparkling on wine. How much? Big 11% check. Big 11%. Of course, you got to stay hydrated with some [Music] water. How much you want to bet? I win. How much you want? I [Music] win. And I move. So [Music] No way, bro. [Music] I suck. I’m just giving them my coins. All right, we have to try and get the basketball, right? The basketball. It’s like because it’s a basketball, I have I have to be able to get it, right? All [Music] right. you. [Music] Got some strawberry crepes going on right here. Don’t know how I’mma eat this, but we going to figure it out. I don’t know how to eat this. [Music] Am I eating it? I don’t know about me. I’m eating it. Oh, this is good. [Music] All right. Super cute. This is adorable. Oh, and it’s blue. Oh my god, that’s adorable. So cute. Hey. Hey. Mhm. [Music] All right, it is day two and we headed back to McDonald’s because you know why? Well, one, the hotel breakfast is not really talking about none and it’s like expensive. So, it’s like it’s not even worth it when we can just walk to McDonald’s and get a $3 meal and be satisfied. You know what I’m saying? So, honestly, truly, we might just be eating McDonald’s every day for breakfast. Not going to lie. Not going to lie. But, it is shopping day finally cuz I don’t have any clothes. Like, I don’t have any like swaggy type of clothes. Hopefully, it’s not too expensive. But we in Japan, so who cares? [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music]
Hey everyone! So, I set out to document my entire Tokyo adventure… but let’s be real, sometimes you just gotta put the camera down and soak it all in. This vlog captures the first three days of my trip!
Where We Went:
– Shinagawa (where we stayed – The Strings InterContinental – Tokyo – 10/10! Shinagawa is super safe and quiet)
– Asakusa
– Shinjuku
– Akihabara
…and more!
Tokyo Travel Tips (Learn from My Experience!):
– Coin Purse is Key: Japan is still very much a cash-based society. A coin purse will be your best friend.
– Suica to Apple Wallet: Game changer! Add a Suica card (for trains and buses) to your Apple Wallet for easy travel.
– Walking Shoes are a Must: You’ll be doing a LOT of walking. Comfortable shoes are non-negotiable.
– Klook App: Use the Klook app to book activities and tours. It’s super convenient and often has great deals.
– Don’t Overplan: Leave room for spontaneity! Some of the best moments were when we just wandered and explored.
– 7-Eleven is Your BFF: Seriously. From snacks to ATMs, 7-Eleven has you covered.
– Learn “Arigato Gozaimasu”: A little Japanese goes a long way. Learn “Thank you very much” (Arigato Gozaimasu).
– Stay Near a Train Station: Makes getting around SO much easier.
Hope you enjoy this glimpse into my Tokyo trip! Let me know in the comments if you have any questions, and don’t forget to subscribe for more (maybe longer!) travel vlogs in the future! π
