#Hiddengem alert – this was countryside dining at its finest.✨

Haginoya offers delicious local cuisine, personable service & reasonable prices, plus their Japanese-style private rooms with lovely garden views & background classical music made the experience extra special.💖

Every dish of our #kaiseki (traditional Japanese multi-course meal) lunch was a joy to eat but oh gosh the soba & tamago(!) stole the show; it’s amazing how simple, everyday food can taste so good! The tempura was also excellent & had a perfectly thin layer of batter.👌🏼😋

This meal was a great start to our time on the Nakasendo trail and imho shouldn’t be missed if you’re in Magome!
