► Tokugawaen is a traditional Japanese style garden, located in Ozone area of Nagoya.
Its name originates from the Tokugawa clan, who originally owned this piece of land, but decided to donate it together with family treasures to the city of Nagoya.
As with most edo style gardens, it centers around a small lake – with koi carps, naturally, and from there, takes you over bridges, small streams and waterfalls, to sakura and ume blossom (when the time is right) and even small teahouses. Tokugawaen has everything to make it a great example of a typical Japanese style garden. – Enjoy!
