   I'm planningg a 17 dyas trip in Japan for next year. Would make sense to spend all of my osaka stay (5 or 6 days) in Universal city walk or would it be better to book an hotel there for 1 or two days (idk how many days do I need honestly.) or is it better if I book an hotel in Umeda directly? l'm also planning to buy the fast pass to get into the attractions easily.

   Last year, I booked a hotel in honmachi area as it was the cheaper hotel i can find. It was close to shinsaibaishi and namba area to the south, osaka castle to the east, umeda to the north, and osaka aquarium to the west. i was surprised that underneath runs the midosuji and chou lines (took this when I went to Nara to see the deers). Saved me a lot of money and walking time from hotel to train stations. 😂

   Hey me and my family is major help we are going to Kobe first flying from jeju island , we are staying in Osaka first for 4 days and taking a day trip to Kobe then wanted to take the bullet train to Kyoto to stay for 3 days then take bullet train to Nagoya for 2 days and take bullet train to Tokyo , we need help with hotel selections in each city can you help thanks

    the Umeda area is super well connected specifically near Osakatemmangu station, it's one stop and a bit of a walk to Osaka station via Kitashinchi and you have the subway at the same station too, not as expensive as the area closer to Osaka station or Shinsaibashi

    I really wanted to go to Osaka in 2025 but I hesitate with the Expo. I don't especially want to see the expo (why not but it's not my top priority) but I'm afraid the whole city will be too crowded and prices more expensives. Dunno what to think about it.

    This is useful! it will be my first time there soon and it will be around the weekend of the Golden week. Since I tend to drive when I travel, would you suggest to rent a car when traveling around Osaka (will be there for 3 nights before heading to Tokyo)? The places I wish to visit in Osaka falls within what you mentioned (the expo too) and perhaps Nara Park. Primary concern is comfort for my toddler and not being human-sandwiched in trains would be a plus.

    Great videos. Very helpful. As a first timer to Japan staying 12 nights with kids including 2 days at Disney/Disney Sea and 1 day at Universal, is 6 nights (split at start and end of trip) in Tokyo and 3 nights each in Osaka and Kyoto reasonable? Knowing we are not going to be able to do everything, especially Tokyo. Any recommedations of areas to stay in Kyoto? Couldnt see a video on this.

    This is a really great video and excellent overview. We will be in Osaka for 3 nights and 2 days (flying from Sydney Australia arriving in the evening of first day). We are staying right next to Namba station (Fraser Residence) and want to see Osaka Castle and whatever else and have dinner in dotonburi on our first day. For our second day we were planning to go to Nara but you have mentioned Minoh Falls. Since we only have the one spare day (we then head to Kyoto for 3 days and nights) would you recommend Nara or Minoh falls? We will be arriving Osaka in mid April 3 nights, then Kyoto 3 nights and Tokyo 3 nights before we get on a cruise so want to make the most of our time.

    We're headed to Osaka at the end of next month. We're staying in the Suita Ward which is next to a subway line. I'm not sure if we can change to a closer location in the city without incurring a hefty fee for the change since it was through a travel agency. Love the videos that you have made.

    Hi. Thanks for this video! I was unaware of Minoh falls. I plan on staying within walking distance to Dontonburi, with day trips to Minoh falls, and Osaka Castle finally leaving on the Shikensen. Is Namba the best area for this itinerary?

    My trip to Japan is less than a month away and starts at a hotel near Esaka Station. Do you think that is too far away from Osaka's big attractions? I probably won't be visiting the Expo though.     Hi, do you have any hotel recommendations for Tokyo and Osaka? Which hotels are best for staying with kids? We plan to arrive at Haneda, stay 3–4 days in Tokyo, then take a train going to Osaka for 3 days, we plan to depart to Kainsai Airport. We’re looking for hotels close to attractions and convenient to the airports. By the way first timer in Japan.

    My wife and I will be visiting Japan from mid September to mid October. How many days would you recommend we set aside or seen the expo? We are hoping the crowds will be less later in the expo schedule and plan to visit in the middle of the week to avoid weekend crowds.
