Rakuten Group has announced a major transformation of its largest interactive event, now named Rakuten AI Optimism, held as a free, on-site event at Pacifico Yokohama over three days, from Wednesday, July 30 to Friday, August 1, 2025. Rakuten is driving “AI-nization” – a term it has coined to describe the AI-driven transformation of its operations and services – with the goal of empowering customers and businesses with AI and making its benefits accessible to everyone. 


Now in its sixth year, Rakuten Optimism is transforming into a business event focused on AI, offering new value and insights. Rakuten Optimism has attracted approximately 800,000 attendees to date, making it Rakuten’s largest annual event. This year, under the banner of “Empowering the Future,” the event has evolved into a business-focused gathering where attendees, from next-generation innovators to veteran business leaders, can learn from those at the forefront of AI transformation.


This year’s event will feature insightful talks and panel discussions on various themes centered around AI, as well as an exhibition area showcasing cutting-edge technologies and AI-driven solutions for business challenges.
