On top of celebrations for the Nike Air Max 95 and Jordan Brand as a whole, a number of retailers are ringing the bell for their own anniversaries in 2025. size? is one of the most notable in that crowd, smack in the middle of a year of collaborations to commemorate 25 years in business. Their City Series with adidas has been their foremost channel to express their appreciation, now adding in another celebrant with the size? x Billy’s Tokyo x adidas Sapporo collection.

For those well-versed in adidas history, the model in question is novel and eyebrow-raising, but in truth it’s a spin on a well-established silhouette. The adidas Sapporo is a slight modification of the adidas Munchen, already sharing much of its DNA with the Handball Spezial. The name derives from an interesting bit of geographical lore, as Munich and Sapporo are sister cities, fostering a cultural and commercial connection since 1972.

Though billed as a three-headed collaboration, in truth it’s a pack featuring two shoes designed by the two imprints independently. Following that same cultural exchange motif, Billy’s edition takes from whiskey barrels, adopting the UK liquor given its widespread adoption in Japan. Textured leathers and suedes are on tap to demonstrate that theme, with subtler touches like gilded branding and a cork insole adding to the air of refinement.

For their half, size? goes for more indirect inspiration, venturing back to the 2002 World Cup, when David Beckham put his English squad ahead of Argentina in the group stage at none other than Japan’s Sapporo Dome. That cultural crossover results in the teal and red colorway on display, pulled from the tournament’s similarly clad game ball.

The draw for the size? x Billy’s Tokyo x adidas Sapporo is open now on size?. Pairs are already available via Billy’s. Catch campaign shots of either colorway included just ahead.
