Don’t Go to These Cherry Blossom Spots in Tokyo, 2025

Of course you can go! 🌸☺️ I would say that these are the most popular cherry blossom spots in Tokyo, and for a good reason. However, apart from all the cherry blossoms, you will also notice the crowds of people who thought they also need to be there. Cherry blossom season is propably the busiest time in Tokyo (at least for popular places).

πŸ“ Ueno Park, Taito City, Tokyo 110-0007
πŸ•’ 5am – 11pm, entrance free
πŸ“Œ 2min walk from Ueno station (park exit)

πŸ“ Nakameguro, 3 Chome-4-1 Kamimeguro, Meguro City, Tokyo 153-0051
πŸ•’ 24h (food stalls will be around 10am – 5pm)
πŸ“Œ 5min walk from Naka-meguro station

πŸ“ Shinjuku Gyoen, 11 Naitomachi, Shinjuku City, Tokyo 160-0014
πŸ•’ 9am – 5:30pm
πŸ“Œ Shinjuku-gyoenmae Station (Exit 1), Shinjuku-sanchome Station (Exit E5)

Alternative cherry blossom spots are – (1) Koganei Park (where you can also visit the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Museum) – (2) Chidorigafuchi Green Way (which is also popular but should feel less crowded), and (3) Showa Memorial Park (Showa Kinen Koen).
And then there is the option to see cherry blossom trees all over to Tokyo, to be honest. I saw some of them in the streets around Nihonbashi station which were beautiful as well, or you can visit Yanaka Cemetery, which also features cherry blossoms and on the same day, take a walk through Yanaka Ginza.
