Pilaf Alien appeared at the first pitch of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters vs. Chiba Lotte Marines game held on Saturday, May 2025, 5. Pilaf Alien has about 31 followers on TikTok and is a young rapper who is also popular on social media. On the day, Pilaf Alien, who had been practicing pitching since it was decided that he would be the first pitcher, showed off a beautiful no-bounce pitch. He said that being able to pitch the first ball in his hometown of Hokkaido was “a dream come true.” After the game, he also performed a mini live show as part of the “AFTER GAME FIELD” held after the Saturday and Sunday day games at S-Con Field HOKKAIDO, exciting thousands of fans.
On April 4th, he announced on his social media that he would pitch at a speed of 13 km/h on the day, talking about the joy of being the first pitcher for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, a team he had been going to watch since he was a child from Sapporo. He continued to show his hard work practicing pitching on social media until the day of the game. Although he unfortunately did not reach 100 km/h, his practice paid off and he showed a great pitch that landed in the catcher’s mitt without a bounce.
Also, many children at the stadium were wearing the horned caps that are the icon of Pilaf Alien, and there were scenes where this was shown on the screen, showing how popular he is.
Nearly 1000 “Ground Enjoy Tickets” were sold, allowing fans to watch the mini live show after the match up close, but they were all sold out the day before the match, showing how popular Pilaf Alien was even before the live show. They are known to be very popular among elementary school students, thanks to their freestyle battles and social media activities, and many parents and children were seen enjoying the live show together.
They performed their latest music video for “TETETE,” which was released on May 5 and has been viewed 4 million times on YouTube in less than a month, as well as their hit songs “Dream Taxi” and “Pirapee,” sending thousands of fans into a frenzy.
As a Sapporo native, I was really happy to be able to pitch in a Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters game at S-Con Field HOKKAIDO, and it was a dreamlike experience. I realized that I couldn’t pitch 100 km/h during practice, so I was conscious of throwing with a nice form and in the middle. I’m glad that I was able to pitch without a bounce! Also, I was happy that there seemed to be a lot of my fans there, even though there were a lot of baseball fans there!
