Exploring Okinoerabu-island

It’s been a long-time dream of mine to visit the islands located between Kagoshima and Okinawa. This time, I planned an island-hopping trip from Kagoshima to Okinoerabu Island and then to Yoron Island. However, the weather was really bad, so I only managed to visit Okinoerabu Island after leaving the Kagoshima mainland.

Okinoerabu Island isn’t a typical resort island like Yoron, but there are so many places to explore and some cozy accommodations. Since I don’t have a driver’s license, I explored by bicycle. Over two days, I spent about eight hours cycling north and south. Hahaha — there are a lot of hills here, so on my last night on the island, I took a long, long bath to thank my legs and butt!
