Why I Still Live in Hiroshima After 8 Years!

All right, everybody. Today for our main topic, I want to show you around our beautiful city, even on a rainy day. Some of the reasons that I can’t find it within me to leave the confines of Hiroshima. Hiroshima is a place that I can’t imagine living without or away from. At this point, the time of making this video, I’m approaching my eighth year, which is crazy, since 2017. Today, my goal is to show you beyond some of the places that I hope if you come from abroad, you visit my everyday life and explain some of the personal reasons why I can’t imagine living elsewhere. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. As with every day throughout many places in Japan, but Hiroshima in particular, our wonderful, peaceful, and just right city, you have a sense of peacefulness, safety, and security. So many examples you see just on our walk today. The vending machines in every corner that wouldn’t be uh safe to put out and leave unattended back home for me and wherever perhaps you’re coming from. Even down to the restrooms, the toilets feel that I do need to use the use the restroom. I’m sorry guys. So I’m going to have a look for a convenience store which of course has throughout Japan around everywhere. Sorry about that, guys. I’m going to go use the facilities real quickly. and pop inside. It’s amazing the stalls with your own private space because there’s no need to have spaces and gaps uh to ensure security. Have your own private space for your own private moment. All right, guys. I couldn’t help myself as I went in to use the restroom. Of course, very convenient as always. Found something that just looked delicious. It was calling me. Looks amazing. I love spicy food. I’m not sure. Do you think this will be spicy enough for me or too spicy? Perhaps we can find out together. Just couldn’t help myself. Looks amazing. One of the other hallmarks, I think, for living in Hiroshima is its convenience. It’s just the right size. It’s friendly. It has this wonderful mix of nature and urbanization. And the street cars, the electric trams are so so convenient. linking everything from, of course, the new Hiroshima station throughout places including the seashore and ocean, the port, and even going as far through the lovely city center and outskirts to Miaima Island. Uh, one thing of course to get to the Hiroshima airport, we will need to board the street car if you like and take a bus. Very direct, easy for that, but it is a little bit more of a trip to get out there. Where shall I venture to today? All right. One of the many convenient supermarkets I tend to use around this area. Uh, this supermarket is like many throughout Japan. When I first came, I remember taking so many pictures and spending so much time reveling at the crazy amount of delicious prepared foods, very, very affordable in a huge variety. uh some of these items at first. Of course, I was a little tentative to eat and try. All right, I did have a few things that I’m looking forward to sharing with you guys on the riverside. One of my favorite spots. Welcome to one of my many favorite spots in Hiroshima City. This one has so many memories for me and even looking around today on a normal uh weekday morning of course during the coming into the springtime close to the golden week holiday the big Shinto uh Japanese holiday at the beginning of May see lots of different ages and types of people both Japanese and foreign students and elders walking and enjoying the river exercises having a barbecue uh just behind us a huge looking really a quite entertaining fun maybe event setting up for today. And this is exactly why this is one of my favorite places. It’s not a place that you get a lot of um traffic from out of town. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the the beauty. One of my many areas that I love for the reason of meeting with friends, meeting myself alone, just enjoying a quiet moment away from the more popular and busy areas out of the ocean city. I’m going to take a minute. Feel free to do the same. All right. Well, I’m feeling refreshed and renewed. The sunlight is out thanks to one of my favorite spots as always, one of many in our beautiful city of Rivers and Green. And I have dinner plans with a friend. So, I’m going to take the electric street car conveniently and quickly as always throughout the city to meet my friends and enjoy the rest of the day. Ah, one last stroll on the riverside. Check out the soccer stadium along the way as well. All right, guys. I have to admit I had a little too much fun with my friends last night. Uh, the spot we went together, as I always do, I had a great time. By the end of the night, I had a few drinks. I kind of forgot to take uh visual evidence. Wish it was calling me. Looks amazing. I love spicy food. Going to try the spicy noodle challenge that I have bought. That’s true. I do love spicy food. This one has a bit of a kick. It’s nice. The broth does have a lot of a lot of spice. That oil gave it quite a kick. The smell is a little spicier than the taste. I’ll be honest. I could eat this for lunch. I think I have no issues. But long as you eat it, the more you do feel it. Feel my tears. Tears of joy. All right, guys. I have an idea. My mouth is tingling. It’s not overly spicy, but I want to ask one of my friends uh to to try it. The Japanese kan. Would you like to try? It’s extremely spicy. I think she thought it was a little spicy. So, I noticed All right, I am feeling it. My lips are tingling a bit. Good sensation. Uh, but next time, let’s try something a little spicier together. I think I can handle it. That was a lot of fun. As is every day in Hiroshima, even working, going through daily life, which I given you a glimpse into. The riversides, the friendly people, the ease of getting around in this perfectly sized, perfectly balanced city is just a few of the reasons I can’t find it within me to take myself away from my beloved city of Hiroshima. So, I look forward to seeing you guys next time. Discover Hiroshima beyond the base. Peace and love from Hiroshima. Bye.
