Planning to go Daikoku sometime after 11:30pm on friday. If there’s any meets over the weekend I’d love to go. Picture above is my last trip to tokyo, met a bunch of JDMs on the expressway. Any guesses on the car I was driving?

Best advice I can give is try to make as many friends in Japan as possible and they’ll take you to the other spots. There’s lots of local spots that are becoming mini-Daikokus but the locals are secretive about them because they don’t want them turning into what Daikoku has become, which in my friend’s words are “a gathering of foreign tourists in rental cars, and clout chasing locals who want to show off to them.”

If you build relationships with local teams and clubs, you may eventually be invited to join, and be able to go with them to more under the radar meetups which tend to be even cooler. So I’d use the time you have left on this trip to make those contacts and cultivate relationships for future visits.

Edit; you may want to go to Daikoku earlier than you have planned, it’s often closed by 9pm on Friday nights.
