◆ Mimura Sota
Today was the A team’s first official match, so I was really looking forward to it and was determined to get a good result when I played.
The score was 0-0 before the match started, so I just went in with the determination to swing my leg and score a goal.
Although we were able to create our own attacking formations, we still had issues with the accuracy of our finishing and the quality of our final passes.
I will continue to improve in practice so that I can make the most of my opportunities in the next match.
◆ Kitai Ryosuke
Today’s opponent was Cerezo Osaka, and it was a game we could not afford to lose.
In the first half, we made a lot of wasteful long ball passing mistakes during our build-up attack.
In defence, the opponents were really targeting the space between the centre backs and the full backs, so we were careful about that in the second half.
In the second half, neither team had many chances and the other team was defeated by set pieces.
After that, we had a few chances, but we couldn’t score and ended up losing.
I think it would be a shame to lose a set piece in such a close match,
I will try to approach the next game with a greater sense of ownership.
This time, we have to accept that we played a disappointing game in the Osaka Derby, a game that we should not have lost.
We will make good preparations so that we can win the remaining two matches.
Thank you for your warm support for GAMBA OSAKA Youth today.
