Did the US Really Need to Bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

  1. Absolutely it had to had happen. They would have fought to the bitter end . They had kids lined up to charge the beaches . Bushido was their main motivation that would have continued the fight

  2. Ive done research on these events, and japan was willing to surrender your correct. Exept only after the first bomb was dropped. The translation that was used for the peace time talks, it was mistranslated leading to the second bombing – also leading to the unconditional surrender of japan. Either way tho it did need to happen, it ended the possibility of multiple more years and more deaths for both sides. We had to think of our own.

  3. While the emperor may have surrendered the regular Japanese would not and if American soldiers would have stepped foot on those islands the regular citizens would have pulled out swords and fought to the death every single last man woman and child they estimated it would take probably 2 million casualties to take the islands 2 million American casualties not Japanese so instead they dropped the bomb
