japan’s most scenic view | visting matsushima and sendai

[Music] hello everyone my name is Matina and
I’ve been to Japan for five times and also   studied a semester abroad so I want to share
my experiences so that you have a perfect trip   today we are on our way to Matsushima which
is ranked as one of Japan’s most scenic views   we already have been to Miaima so this is our
second view that we’re going to visit i am so   excited we started from Sendai and the train ride
took around 40 minutes with a local train [Music] [Music] Most people take the ferrys and
explore this area on the water but we   decided against it because we had a very full
day as we wanted to explore Sendai afterwards first we went to this place that offered
this fried tofu which was very very delicious after that I wanted to get
something that is very very popular   here which is a sasakama stick so this is
actually fish cake on a stick and you put   it on this little grill and wait for it to be
finished and I didn’t know that it was fish   cake when I ate it i actually just found out
when I just researched it but I didn’t like   it that much but I think it was still worth
it for the experience that was really nice we headed to do some sightseeing after
that which led us to visit Godaido temple   which is the symbol of Matsushima
and is connected by some beautiful bridges here you can visit a little temple
building and also enjoy a first sneak peek   of this wonderful and very scenic view
that you get in Matsushima for my taste   it was a little bit too crowded at the
spot so we decided to already head to   our next destination which was Fukura
Island you have to pay 200 yen to cross   this red bridge but then you’re rewarded
with some really really nice spots here the weather was brightening up
a little bit and we discovered   some origami that were made by
some students and they looked so   cool i didn’t know that you could do
such amazing things with just paper after around one or two hours we
decided to head back to the city   and explore some of the stores and
cafes there so check out what we got and it wouldn’t be one of my videos
if we didn’t head to a shrine or   to a temple so today we were going to
Suigi Ganji which is a Buddhist temple   surrounded by beautiful trees
and I was so impressed by this place you can also enter the main building but we
had to skip it as we were under time pressure but   if you come here feel free to pay the 700
yen entrance fee and visit the whole place the reason why we were in the hurry is because
we wanted to take the sightseeing bus in Sai   where the last bus comes at around 5:00 p.m
so we really wanted to catch some of the last   trains and visit another beautiful temple called
Zui Huten this place is a muscle of Date Musamune   which was one of the most powerful feudal lords
of the Edo period and you can find his traces   all over Sai and Matsushima and we’re also
going to see a statue of him in a little while our last destination of the day is Sai
Castle which only has a few little remains   but you have the most beautiful view
of the city so I still recommend you   to come here and we rushed to get the
last bus so we could experience this after this very full day we had to eat
something so we headed to Dint Typhoon   which is a chain all over Japan and you can also
find it in other countries but not in Germany so   of course we had to come here and eat all of
the amazing dumplings honestly they are so good in the end we decided to do some anime
shopping so we headed to Animeade and in the   same building they had this Genchin pop-up
store so if you want to buy some souvenirs   gift for friends or just something for
your collection feel free to check out   this store here i’m going to link it in
the description so you can find it as well and that was our day in Sai and Matsushima what
do you think did we overdo it did we do too many   things on one day i think yeah i would have
liked a whole day just for Matsushima and one   day just for Sai but it was still worth it
and yeah see you in two weeks for the next   video thank you so much for watching hope that you
liked it and if you did feel free to leave a like
