I visited Kakunodste several years ago, but I visited samurai residences. Konjikido was very beautiful and breathtaking. I’m going to Morioka this fall, city tour and explore Ryusendo Cave. Thank you for this educational video. I enjoyed it.
Are you talking of the uncoupling incident between Ueno and Omiya ? We were travelling from Tokyo to Aizu Wakamatsu in Fukushima-ken on this day, and its was really bad, with no information at all in English. We were so glad to get Aizu Wakamatsu with about 5 hours delay.
We were in Kakunodate in March for 2 nights and liked it a lot. It was so different from your experience. There was a lot of snow, and no visitors at all. We visited most of the places you also visited, and we really enjoyed the Ishiguro house and the Aoyagi house with the different exhibitions and the lovely old fashioned tea room there.
