It takes about 1 hour to fly from Hana airport to Akida airport. It also takes about 3 hours and 50 minutes by Shinkansen bullet train. Here are five sightseeing spots that are frequently visited by foreigners. Samurai House in Kakunodate. Kakunodate, known as Michino’s Little Kyoto, has a charming atmosphere with its rows of samurai residences that have remained since the Ado period. In spring, some Yoshino cherry trees and weeping cherry trees are in full bloom, attracting visitors from all over Japan. Kimono rental stores and rickshaw rides are also available in the area. The contrast between the blackboard walls and white walls is beautiful, and it is a spot where you can feel the silence and history as if time has stopped. Nuto oneno. The flavor of kyaton po stewed with local ingredients such as bock root, mayake mushrooms and parsley is an essential staple of the akita winter. Inaniwa udon. Inaniwa udon characterized by its thin and smooth texture is considered one of the five best udon in Japan. Hatahhata hata is the perfeual fish of Akita Prefecture. It is eaten in many ways including boiled, grilled, and dried. Nowadays, the number of hahata is decreasing and it has become a high-end fish. Damakonab. Similar to kiratano, damako are bite-sized dumplings made from rolled rice. It is a popular homestyle dish, and when served with hinai jidori chicken soup, it has a heartwarming flavor. Chicken rice bento. Chicken rice bento is made with 100% hinai jadori chicken from Aikita prefecture and served on a bed of Aikita rice. You can enjoy the delicious taste of jidori chicken with teriyaki chicken sobero tukun etc. It is a musthave as an ekib when riding the shing kansson in Akita.
