India To Bhutan Road Trip | Bhutan Rules | Bhutan Tour | Bhutan Travel Guide
So guys, finally officially welcome to Bhutan, so this is its view, the rest was the terminal building, road etc. you see the cleanliness here, brother you see the hygiene level, you can also call it friendship gate, what is your name for India and Bhutan, my name is Cho Cho but the price of petrol in Bhutan is quite shocking, ₹57 per liter, 50% brother, here you will get a discount on liquor, duty free is 1000 note and this I think is in yellow color, a little BP i.e. Bhutan private card is very expensive here, internet, especially 1GB internet for 350 Indian rupees, so Manju ji, Namaste to Manju ji from India, Namaste, how are you, I am fine, what representation, thank you, thank you so much, so guys, I think this is the first impression in Bhutan, independent travel in the whole of Bhutan, if you travel for more than 24 hours, then it is not allowed free of cost, you will get charging points all over Bhutan. You will always find zibra crossings, what amazing views there are in Bhutan, brother, feeding any animal publicly is banned, if you do any kind of filth, then it is a crime, literally it is a crime here. Hello all the people of Bhutan, smiling beautiful Tapal Lisa in Bhutan, Chimpaso in India [Music] Good morning, Namaste, Salam and welcome back to the new blog, I am Ansh and right now I am in Siliguri city of West Bengal and from here today I am going to start a new travel series of mine, guys, one of the happiest countries in the world is Bhutan and although Bhutan is our neighboring country, but it is also said to be very unique, peaceful and naturally beautiful, where traveling at the present time is one of the most expensive travel, at this time, especially they have imposed a lot of rules, regulations, laws regarding tourism, so you cannot travel independently there in Bhutan, as far as I know, and you need a proper guide You will have to take a tour from a tour company , you can stay only in three-star hotels and you should also have a private car, so the complete detailed process of India to Bhutan, if you are travelling, then what are the requirements for entry, I am going to share all those detailed information with you in this video, so right now it’s around 8:30 in the morning and I am in Siliguri city, so this was my hotel where I am staying, it’s basic, so guys, this was my hotel, you must be seeing at the back, it is written Collection O Ho Hotel, such a view of Siliguri city and it has rained a lot last night, so the weather is completely cloudy and this station, I think, this hotel was located at a distance of around 5 to 6 km from the station, so I reached here yesterday, so my journey started, it started from my hometown Prayagraj, so I am coming from Prayagraj to here in Siliguri i.e. To come to New Jalpaiguri I used Rajdhani train, I had booked it and only then I reached here and now from here the border town of India and Bhutan is called Jaigaon on the India side, it is around 150 kms, so from here to there we will travel by road, so you can already see my vehicle, which has come to pick me up, the vehicle of West Bengal, I have not had breakfast yet, so let’s have breakfast first and will also take out some currency etc. and then we are going to start our journey all the way for India to Bhutan, so you must watch the video till the end, so friend, it is something like this, brother, the first impression of West Bengal, at present there are clouds, there is a complete monsoon atmosphere everywhere, so it is cloudy etc. so friend guys this is Ajay bhai, how are you Ajay bhai, so fine, absolutely great, so this is Ajay ji, friend from Jai village, which is a bordering town for India and Bhutan and he has come to pick me up from Jai village, so How much time did it take you to come from there, I left at 5:30 in the morning, oh you can see it’s 9:14 now, it took that much time, yes yes, it takes 3 to 3 and a half hours, which means from here, yes yes, from NJP or Siliguri to Jaigaon, by road, by car, 3 to 3 hours, yes yes, so friend India to Bhutan, if you want to travel, then how can you reach, so for that, I think the best way is by air, so there is only one international airport in Bhutan, which is Paro International Airport in Paro, apart from this they have three more domestic airports, so from Delhi, I think you will get a flight to Bhutan for Paro, otherwise generally what people do is that from any city in India, you can reach Siliguri’s Bagdogra airport, flight to here is available easily It is available at a reasonable price and then from here you can travel by road till Jaigaon as I am travelling now. The third option is if you have your own vehicle, car etc., a private vehicle, then you can take it directly from here from any city to the border and you can also travel inside Bhutan by taking the vehicle. And if you want to travel by rail, that is, by train, then the nearest railway station to reach the border of India and Bhutan is Hasimara which is from Siliguri, sorry, which is from Jaigaon, I think it will be around 14 kms, bhaiya is telling it will be around 14 to 18, 18 kms, so after reaching there, then from there you can cross another 18 kms and then cross the border. So these are all the means of transport using which you can travel from India to Bhutan inside Bhutan because there is no railway. Inside, you will have to reach the Indian border if you travel using all these modes of transport. How did you like Bhutan when you see it? It is a very peaceful, very beautiful, nature loving, very nice place. How are the people there? I would say that 95% of the people are polite. Well, if you are going to Bhutan at this time, then without a tour, you will not be able to travel. You will have to take a tour. So that is why Ajay bhai has come to pick me up because I am travelling through a tour. I will share the complete details of this tour with you when we enter Bhutan. Now let’s go to this KB restaurant. I think we are going to have breakfast here. So guys, just after having this breakfast, we are leaving. Our bill came to around ₹250 for aloo ka paratha and tea. So, we have had breakfast now. Now we will go directly from here to Jaigaon. Which is around 160 kms. [Music] After a 3 hour drive, I have finally reached Jaigaon city which is called the last border town of India. Before entering Bhutan, this is the surrounding area. If you see, you can see Barsana Hotel in front and we have parked our vehicle here. So you can imagine that I left from Jalpaiguri i.e. Siliguri at around 9:30 and it is going to be around 1:30 to 1:30, it took 3 to 3 hours, why Ajay Bhai came ahead and then I reached and this is here, see, the main gate of Bhutan is visible to you in front, so all the people who come by car i.e. vehicle, all those people are asked to enter from here, that is, the main entry gate which is India to Bhutan, you have to enter through vehicle, so all the motor vehicles will enter from here, but if you are independent, then you will have to walk and go ahead from this road which is visible in front, in this part, you see here, All India and as soon as we cross this gate and enter Bhutan, we will enter Bhutan completely. So friend, we can see an ATM machine of ICICI bank here. I have withdrawn some Indian Rupees in Indian currency from here so that you can use the Indian currency in Bhutan and we can also use the local currency of Bhutan. Still, I have withdrawn cash from here so that I can use Indian currency when I go there. So friend, our guide has come. So now finally I am leaving for Bhutan from my Jaigaon city in West Bengal, India. So this is the main walking area from where you will have to go for independent travel. This market etc. will look like this. So you will see goods etc. being sold here for local purchasing because today this is the market here, I came to know and because of this you will see shops etc. here. Rest, look here, if you come back to India from Bhutan, there is no SIM card etc. So you will find all this here, this gate which is visible here, that is, this wall is completely on this side, that is India, and as soon as we cross this wall, we will reach Bhutan, this is our official entry into Bhutan, so in a way, this entire corridor has been made where you can see all the symbols etc. related to Bhutan, see, photos etc. have been put up, this has been made quite well, so it is a complete passage, Bhutanese architecture etc., you will start seeing it from here, there are also some ATMs etc. here, if you have to do a transaction or withdraw money, then you can withdraw from here, wow friend guys, as soon as you enter, this is the check-in area here, where your ID etc will be checked, there is no immigration counter, this is the first entry point and they have also set up this restaurant etc. right here, if you want to use it, it is clean too, I have just come back after using it inside. Rest, this is the waiting hall area here, if you want to come and take some rest etc. then you can come and sit here, it is quite well built and here you must be seeing all the local Bhutanese wearing their traditional clothes, so guys, finally officially Welcome to Bhutan, so this is a pedestrian terminal walking area, immigration does not happen here, this is just a security point, immigration will be done after taking you somewhere far away from here, for now, first impression, first look of this country Bhutan, this first impression, first view of it looks quite nice, friend, I think around six years ago, I had come to Bhutan and at that time, I had not even done vlog etc. for now, I have just entered here. So it is a border town, a neighbouring town, so this is its view, the rest was the terminal building, it looks very beautiful, very good, so you will get to see all the Bhutanese architecture here and this is the whole part of the town where you will find a lot of shops etc. especially see, Central Liquor Shop is written here, Lahamo Lekar Shop is written here, there are restaurants etc. there are also some shops for SIM cards etc. the rest of this is the hotel area, the restaurant area, the food shops the rest of the roads etc. you see brother cleanliness here you see the hygiene level, you see the sanitization, a next level for which Bhutan is known, so you will get to experience all that anyway, the rest I will go a little further and show you the main gate part here, so guys this is the main gate of Fushi of this Bhutan site, you can also call it Friendship Gate, you can call it for India and Bhutan, so only vehicles are allowed from this gate, that is, India to Bhutan, Bhutan to India All the people who come by vehicle like this, that is, those who come by their personal vehicle and car etc., if you are also coming from India by car, then you will enter from this gate only, the car can go from here but you will have to come on foot from the previous gate from where I have just entered, it is very lovely, very beautiful architecture, you will get to see the entire Bhutanese architecture in it, the whole brown color and all the Bhutanese art is shown in this entire gate, rest you can see this entire part, the rest the temperature is a bit cloudy and the heat is being felt a bit here as well because there are rain clouds in West Bengal too, due to that a little sweating etc. is coming here, so our immigration is not done yet, so first I will complete the immigration, after that I will explain to you in detail the entry requirements to enter Bhutan, this is the immigration office here, where your immigration etc. will be completed properly, so first let’s go inside. Let’s complete the immigration, just now the stamping has been done on your passport, so if we talk about the entry requirements, then I will tell you here that if you are travelling to Bhutan, then for entry because we Indians do not require visa here, so you can travel to Bhutan without visa, you have to carry two things in the ID, either you can enter here with your voter ID or you can enter with your passport, I have come with my passport because on arrival of the passport, you will get the stamping on your passport, which I have also received officially, so in a way a new country has also been added, our Bhutan country, after coming to this place, if you enter here with voter ID, then you are allowed entry here, Aadhar card is not acceptable here as an ID, so keep this in mind that there are two ways you can travel to Bhutan at this time, first is that for 24 hours you can travel in Bhutan without any payment, that is, for free. You can say that you can travel for 24 hours without paying the tourist tax or permit, which means that in those 24 hours you will get a chance to access the neighbouring border towns of Bhutan and India and if you exit within 24 hours after visiting them, I think you can stay for a day where you will not have to pay the SDF Sustainable Development Fee or fund as it is called, and you can exit and leave, but if you stay for more than 24 hours and beyond the border town i.e. their capital city i.e. Thimphu, Punakha or Paro If you want to travel here, then you have to pay proper SDF or Sustainable Development Fund or fee, you can also call it a tourist tax, which you have to pay ₹ 100 per person per night, for which you will get a receipt, after that you can go and travel, this is the payment of SDF, now after this you have to take a tour package from a proper tour company where tour guide is mandatory if you travel anywhere in Bhutan and along with this you should have a private vehicle, that is, you should always have a car with you during this tour and along with this tour guide is also compulsory, it is mandatory here and the hotels etc. that you will stay here, you can stay only in the three-star basic requirements listed by the government, which category of hotels and independent travel is not allowed if you travel for more than 24 hours in the whole of Bhutan, so all these are the entry requirements and travel inside the country of Bhutan at present. There are requirements if you want to do it, if seen , travelling in Bhutan seems a bit expensive, but the main reason why this was done, which I came to know is that the government of Bhutan is following the high value and low impact on tourism policy here, due to which all this has been calculated, so because of this, friend, this entire tour which I am going to do now, I have taken a tour package of five nights and six days, there is a company called Tour Kingdom, through which I have taken this entire tour, these details will be coming from them, you can see the website and their contact details, these will be flashing, I have also put it in the description of the video, so I am going to do the entire tour through them, let’s see how my experience is, you can go and check, you can book a tour from them, rest, the overall experience that I am going to have in these five nights and six days, I will share that with you people, for now this is the first impression of Fun Seeling, the first view is quite green And look in this side as well, you will get to see all the Bhutanese local architecture, there are temples etc. in between and all the buildings etc. here, mostly I think all the buildings of four to five floors, you will get to see here, you are a wine vendor, what is your name sir, my name is Pintu, Pintu ji, I met Pintu ji for the first time in Bhutan, friend, I have heard a lot that here in the duty free area if you purchase liquor, wine etc. then you will get 50% discount on liquor, brother, here you will get it duty free but there is a condition for that that you have to pay SDF, that is, ₹10 per person, whether it is for one night or maximum, but you should have that receipt, only then you can purchase it here, but after this, after counselling, if you purchase at Thimu Paro Punaka or anywhere else, then you will not get this price there, it will be available only here, so this Look, I have come inside a shop where you will find different brands, so I think this is wine etc. the rest is local, all these liquor etc. are of different brands, you can find them here, hello hello namaste namaste how are you, you are fine, I am fine, what is your name, my name is acchao chhav chhawang chhawang my name is Ansh from India from Mumbai, hey, these people are feeling shy, I don’t know, but this is their Bhutanese traditional dress which they are wearing, bye-by, everyone is very shy, yes, not right now, why have you come just now, you are sending me back today, you are sending me right now, yes yes yes brother, it is going deep inside, the name of youtube is Indigo Tracker Bharat Petroleum, there is a petrol tank, so I had just gone here to check the price of the fuel, but the price of petrol on the Bhutan side is quite shocking, ₹57 a litre, you are seeing this gate behind me, behind this gate If you go behind, petrol is around ₹ 110 ₹ 18 per litre but the petrol tank is of India and the petrol imported from India is available in Bhutan country at ₹ 57 per litre so what happens here is that a lot of vehicles from India, all the people from these places, come to this petrol tank to get petrol which you can see behind me because the fuel price here is very cheap but there is one condition that you can only get a full tank in your vehicle but you cannot take extra bottles etc. from here in the tank so this is a small shop now see, this is a grocery shop but grocery items are available in the grocery shop but along with this you will also get this In this way wine alcohol liquor all these brothers wherever you go in Bhutan you will find this liquor etc in small shops and in every shop so friend if you want to buy a SIM card in Bhutan then actually a separate specific SIM card is available for tourists so it is by Tashi Shell you can see this is specially available for tourists it is a tourist SIM card it is written by Tashi Shell and along with this there is another company which is Bhutan Telecom Bhutan Telecom so this is Bhutan Telecom so these are the two main telecom operators in Bhutan which you can use for SIM card etc so let’s see now how much internet and GB etc you are going to get in this for now if you want to purchase then which one is the best among these two SIM cards which network is the best in this the network is good both are good yes it will work anywhere namaste what is your name Manju Manju ji so I am Manju ji namaste to Manju ji from India Hello how are you I am fine this is your shop so all the stuff here is from here or from India all this big shop imports from India and buys from here so then you people bring it from wholesale then you sell it in retail so how is the business going now so good you have been to India right you must be coming and going it is next to us you are saying I have not been yes well friend I am surprised Manju ji is saying I have not been to India how did this happen friend oh what representation oh thank you thank you so much so guys I think this is the first impression in Bhutan as soon as you enter the country of Bhutan then you can say Bhutanese culture in a way you can say there is a representation and salutation as well where what is it called locally khadir khadir is a khadir which is a white cloth and it is given to you as a welcome as a guest so thank you so much and how to say thank you in local Karinshala Karinsh Shela So Karan Shela to Kamal ji who has officially welcomed us to Bhutan and special thanks to the cameraman thank you thank you so guys this was finally our official welcome to Bhutan country and now I would like to introduce you to the guide of my tour company which is Tour Kingdom so this is Kamal ji Hi Kamal ji how are you Namaste Oh Namaste Namaste so Kamal ji is going to accompany us in this entire five night six days trip and will take you around Bhutan in a completely good manner so Kamal ji where are you from Timo from here that from here I am from the southern part of Bhutan ok from the Dagana oh so to reach like a Dagana we have to go from care to like a thin one day and next day only if you go to Dagana means if take two days ok and also our guide is going to be chhami bhai who is also local from Bhutan chhami bhai namaste from India how are you are fine sir and chhami bhai’s height You see, around 6.2 feet brother, he is quite a good height, so I am still trying to match Chhimi ji’s height and my height, so Chhimi ji and along with that our Kamal bhai Kamal bhai told me one more thing, this fun sealing means place of prosperity, so this is an important point, you should note it down, for now see this is Bhutan’s Bhutanese car and the number plate etc. here will be of red colour, the alphabets etc. written on top will be written in white colour, BP means Bhutan Private and this is a combination of numeric plus alphabet, but if this is a taxi, then look here, a Bhutanese taxi is visible in front and it is written here, BT Bhutan Taxi, the number used here is yellow plate number and it is written in black colour alphabets, this is a hotel here and the whole theme of the hotel is the whole architecture, you will get to see Bhutanese architecture here as well, so friend, this is the tourist SIM card I have purchased it here and brother the SIM card is very expensive here, internet especially for 350 Indian rupees for 1GB internet with 7 days validity and 100 minutes of local calling in Bhutan, this is the SIM card which I have bought, you can get it at the immigration here as well, see here there is a shop like this in front where it is written Tourist SIM, you can purchase it from here also, just next to the immigration building it is, so welcome etc. is done, now from here our first destination for the day in Bhutan is going to be Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan, it is around 155 kms from Phuentsholing, so roughly if we see the drive it takes 4 to 5 hours depends on the route because we are still a little You will travel in the mountainous region [Music] So around a few kilometers, as soon as you go ahead of Finshilling, this is the first official check point where your entry etc. will be checked, passport ID permit, that is, the SDF fee etc. that you have paid, all of that is checked here, so your ID will be asked in a very good manner, so I had my passport with me, so I gave it and they checked it, checked my ID etc., and along with that, the details of the guides etc. are also checked here, then you are allowed and the route seems to be quite zigzag, but as we are moving up, the weather and the climate are looking quite cool and pleasant, you can see this, the road is like this, greenery is visible all around, really, Bhutan is known for its natural beauty, literally I am not able to fail here, Kamal ji, who is sharing this with me to all of you If you are going to show Bhutan , then generally the rule here is that the guide and the brother who is with the car, like these are our Sachimi brothers, they sit in the front and you have to sit at the back as a tourist or as a passenger, but Kamal Bhai, as a respect and as a gesture that you are a guest and you should explore well, he gave me the front seat, otherwise even as a rule, you have to sit at the back only, so thank you so much Kamal ji for this love and support and respect, thank you thank you so much friend, so this is Bhutan friend, I mean, well, our journey has just begun, as we move forward, I will show you Bhutan in a very good and detailed manner, for now, today almost the entire travel is going to happen, so friends guys, after driving around 50 km from Finning, now we have reached the starting point of Gedu, ah Gedu which is called a mid town, from Finning to Thimpu which is the country of Bhutan The capital is in the middle of it. So this is our first stop of the day where we are halting for lunch. So the time right now here in Bhutan is around 3:30 or 4:00 and if you look at it from the Indian time, the time difference between India and Bhutan is half an hour. So this is the first difference. Apart from this, this is a hotel but restaurant. For food and drinks, if you want to do lunch, breakfast, dinner, all these things, you can do them here. The name of the place is Zamja and the name of the hotel is Dzong Pasham Hotel where mainly people come and stop. Apart from this, you will also get electric vehicles in Bhutan. For example, look at this, this vehicle is Bhutan’s electric vehicle in which you will see a green number plate. So this is the charging point in front for all electric vehicles. So here it is free of cost. You will find charging points all over Bhutan where you can take your vehicle, especially those who have an electric vehicle, and charge it free of charge. You can charge your car here, there is a charging station point here, if we talk about my travel experience so far, it has been a very good travel experience, from finishing to here , you can see that the entire route is quite green, but along with this, you will get quite a few zigzag turning points, that is, on an average, you can only drive at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour, so you can imagine that it will take you around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach here from the border, the driving side is the left hand side in the entire Bhutan, I think whatever you notice, the road is quite good and I also got to experience a lot of foggy areas in between, the rest, you can see this area behind me, Bhutan means green country, peaceful country and this road on this entire highway is called NH 48, it is called the busiest highway, that is, from finishing to Timphu, it is considered the main highway to connect For this especially all the goods transport vehicles move from here despite that you will find very less movement of vehicles here, you can see two wheelers, I have hardly seen a single two wheeler here till now, generally all the vehicles that I have seen are four wheelers only and along with that some trucks etc which transport i.e. food items are moving here, so guys it is going to be around 4:00 in the afternoon as per the local time of Bhutan i.e. it must be 3:30 in India right now because India and The time difference in Bhutan is of half an hour, so right now I think this is the restaurant area here, you can come here to eat food and drink, you can eat everything, oh hello your wife oh hello hello namaste namah bhaiya, I have already ordered good food, but the good thing is that in Bhutan you will also get to eat Indian food, that is, if you want to eat West Thali etc. then you will get that and this is something like this, the local Bhutanese restaurant here looks quite nice, it is quite cute and is quite a mid point, people come and stay here, everywhere else it is like this because there is Buddhism here, so you will also get to see all those things, in this way you will also get to see the photo of Lord Gautam Buddha etc. rest of this see, the restaurant is quite green, it is completely decorated, you can also see inside the restaurant, they have done complete gardening like this, all these trees etc. are planted here, so this is the main menu, breakfast and drinks etc. whatever you want to have, there is tea, tea, coffee, green tea, cake etc. rest of the thali Etc. if you want to take it then look in lunch and dinner, rice mix, veg dal mix will be available for ₹200 which is the local currency here, rest of the veg food is also available here, fried rice, chowmein, so I have just ordered chowmein and a tea here, momos etc., Maggi, chapati, French fries, so you will get all these things to eat brother, the price is almost quite reasonable, if we compare with India, then India and Bhutan because the currency is same, so almost price wise also you will find everything similar here, there are some bears etc. of Bhutan country lying here and the national flag, the Bhutanese flag is something like this and you will find a dragon printed on it, so you can see this, rest of this restaurant is very cute, very beautiful, rest there are cookies etc. here because most of the stuff comes from India only, so look these chips etc., lays etc., you will get all these things here, fries, snacks, Maggi etc., noodles. These biscuits etc. are almost 70 to 80%, see Oreo etc., all these things are imported from India and brought here, so you will find some of them here, so this is our veg chowmein, our first meal of the day in Bhutan which I am trying, by the way this is chowmein i.e. veg chowmein which I have ordered and along with it they have given some sauce etc. and the tea I have ordered is normal milk tea, so let’s eat, let’s see how the food is, right now I am feeling quite hungry, friend, I had breakfast in the morning and after that I am eating now, it is normal, it is medium, it is not spicy either, it is good, friend, the bill for the food came is around 205 Bhutanese currency which is called Bhutanese Natrum, right Bhutanese Natrum Natrum Naltrum, so this is their official currency, so the good thing here is that Indian currency is also acceptable, so I ordered them as Indian I have been given currency, I am going to return this local currency to you, so I am going to show you the currency now. Can you show me the note please? So, ok, you see, this is five notrums, and this is a very small note. And all these are 10 rupee notes, the king is printed on it, and the king of Bhutan is printed on them. You can see this is a 10 Bhutanese note, this was for five rupees, and this is a 50 Bhutanese notrum, this is colourful, it is quite colourful too, friend. And 100 100, and this is 100 notrums, and what is the highest currency here? Not 500, but 1000, 1000, so do you have 1000? Can you show me? This is 1000 notrums, and this, I think, is a little yellow in colour, but this is also quite colourful, it is 500, and this is 500 notrums, which is also quite colourful, so thank you brother, may you give me those, I will Give you change, so this you already gave me change, right, okay Kanchela thele, thank you, so the Kanchela that he said is the local greeting, that is, thanks , and because the official language of Bhutan is Zonkha, Zonkha is in Bhutan, so say Zonkha, so friend, we have had our meals and also relaxed a bit because friend, we have been traveling a lot since morning, continuously nonstop, and we still have to travel for around 3 to 3 hours, so the currency that I showed you is the official currency of Bhutan, which the Bhutanese call Neutrum, and the value of the currencies of India and Bhutan is almost similar, Neutrum and India’s ₹1 are similar, so because of this, you can use Indian currency all over Bhutan, and this currency of Bhutan was officially introduced for the first time in 1974. These were the rest, these were the views, this weather, this climate, as we moved higher, the weather became quite a bit It has started getting cold, cool breeze is blowing, look at this side, it is a hilly area and big trees etc. can be seen on the entire mountain, the landscape environment is very green, it looks so good, it is completely natural, look at the views of the clouds all around, welcome to Bhutan, guys, dogs etc. of Bhutan are like this and just now my guide told me that in Bhutan, it is banned to feed any animal publicly, you cannot feed it and on the whole route, you cannot stop and throw garbage etc. anywhere, it is written and there is a proper rule also and everywhere there is a message symbol of Clean Bhutan and Green Bhutan, in this way you will find landmarks at many places on the road, like kilometer is written everywhere, so it has been properly installed, which is a symbol and a message is also being given to the whole country, whether it is a local or a foreigner or any traveler [Music] So guys, right now we are staying at the front gate of Gedu College of Business Studies in Gedu Town But whatever area you are seeing in front, this is Gedu College of Business Studies present inside Gedu Town where B.Com and BBA are taught, so for that, the entire upper portion that you can see is a part of the college, so this college actually used to be a part of the Tal Hydro Power Plant in the earlier times, this used to be the head quarter of that, that is, this used to be the residential area of all the workers of that hydro power plant in that quarter, but later they did not have that much requirement, so they handed it over to the government of Bhutan and because of that, later this college was established here, so I think it is midway, if you take Thimbuk from Finsulin, then it will be below, this is a part of the college and if I take you a little further, then you will find Gedu Town and this is the Gedu Clock Tower of Gedu Town, which you can see in front of you, it is built in the stadium type below, where people come to play etc. These are the college members. All the people here, everywhere generally you should notice that whatever houses etc. are there, their shades will be seen in this way and here mostly, maximum as far as I have experienced till now, all the houses in this place, you will see their shades in green colour, look in front here is the office of Bhutan Telecom Lift, there are some of Vivo Telecom operator, rest these are some vehicles here, what you can see in front is the prayer flag here and in front of it there is a stupa and prayer wheel etc. there, rest in front you will always find zibra crossing, so this is also a rule in Bhutan, whenever you walk , you have to cross through zibra crossing only, you cannot walk anywhere like this, so this also felt very good, rest as I am telling you friend, as I am entering this country, the life here, the rules and regulations, law and order here, there is a lot of discipline and very work You will get to experience this peacefully, there is also an ATM, Bank of Bhutan is written on it, if you want to withdraw money, you can go here and withdraw. One more thing here is that there are rules and regulations for parking the vehicle, you cannot park it anywhere, there will be a specific location, you can park your vehicle there only, so you also have to keep this in mind if you are coming with your vehicle, rest see, this was that area, this is the prayer wheel, the stupa in front and I think whenever we show the places in this way, try not to point with your finger, this is also a matter of respect, so you can see this in front, like this or this way no, or I don’t want to do it like this, I want to do it like this, so whenever you see, like you can see the stupa in front, it is very cute and beautiful and it looks like it is all gold, it is put on top and it is a little foggy as well, the sunset is also almost about to happen because right now It is about to be 4:30 I think and Kamal ji how much time will it take to reach Thimpu from here, total time will be like 3 hours 20 minutes, it will take 3 to 3 hours for us, yes see, in between you will see trucks passing like this, so Finsling is actually considered to be the urban town of Bhutan and it is also called the financial industrial and commercial trading capital city of Bhutan, so all the goods, etc., that comes from India, it passes through this route through there, hello hello All the people of Bhutan are smiling [laughs] beautiful, so this was guys HDF or Sustainable Development Fee, which you have to pay ₹100 per night per person to enter Bhutan and if it is a five nights and six days tour, then for five nights 12 * 5 = 60 6000 in Bhutanese currency i.e. Bhutanese Notar or almost similar amount in Indian currency, so you will have to pay this much, so this entire payment goes to the Government of Bhutan, through which the Bhutan Government benefits the local people of Bhutan, who are local citizens of Bhutan, so this is one of the main reasons because of which this SDF was implemented, but you must be aware that this fee has been introduced since a few years for us Indians, still it is good now because we are only paying ₹1200 in Indian currency, think about it, but here the foreigners i.e. If people from India come here to Bhutan, they stay at $100 per person per night. Think about it. In the present time, before Covid, I think this amount used to be around 200 US dollars. But now they have reduced it a little bit. So, if you think even at $100, then a foreigner has to pay $8700 per night as SDF fee to enter Bhutan. This is only about the SDF fee. Apart from this, the entire organized tour that you will have to take is a separate expense. So, I will tell you about the entire expense in detail at the end of the video. How and where you can pay and how to book it. But right now, we drive and there are a lot of interesting facts about Bhutan. As we move ahead, Kamal Bhai and I will share them all with you. And as soon as we enter, the monkey in Bhutan also gets ready to welcome us. Well, this is all the area, right? Guys, now let’s talk about the geography of Bhutan. If we look at the entire country of Bhutan, it is a landlocked country in the South Asia region which falls between India and China. And if seen in a way, you can see it in the shape of a sandwich between India and Tibet. And the rest of the country of Bhutan is considered to be one of the smallest countries in the world. That is, if you compare it with India in terms of land size, then India is around 86 times bigger than Bhutan and around 256 times bigger than America. That is, America is 256 times bigger than India and Bhutan. If you look at India and Bhutan area-wise, then you can assume that Bhutan is a country as big as Kerala state of India. And Bhutan ranks around 133 in terms of land in the whole world and 16th in terms of population. So it is like this. And if seen in terms of population, the population of the entire country of Bhutan is around 8 lakhs . At present time, it is equal to the Indian state of Sikkim because the population of Sikkim in India at present time is also around 6.8 lakhs, that is, around 7 lakhs. You can assume that their official language, as I told you, is called Zong, which is made up of two words, Zong plus Kha. Zong means fortress and Kha means language, so it is made by combining these. Apart from this, there are three different types of dialects in some of their regional languages, that is, in Zongkha, which the local people speak among themselves. In Finsiling, the language used there is mainly Zonkha, which is used by all the Bhutanese people, but along with this, Nepali is also used a lot there. Especially in the Jaigaon and Finsiling side, people use Nepali here and you will find them using Hindi as well, right Hindi, well, all over Bhutan, but you will find these dialects more on the border side. In Thimu also you will find maximum people speaking English and understanding it, so language wise you won’t have any problem here in the whole of Bhutan, so now we have reached another check point which is called Bumppagan and look ahead also, all the police of Bhutan can record here, right? So this was the control post here, that is, check post, where whether it is a local Bhutanese or a tourist or a foreigner, everyone’s ID is properly checked, if we look at the land size of Bhutan, it holds a radius of around 38394 square km and I think from earlier till now, their government had implemented a rule in the country of Bhutan and it is still continuing that around 72 to 75% of the entire country of Bhutan is conserving the forest zone. That is, because of this, you will get to see all these trees for which the entire green Bhutan is made, so all these maximum trees that you can see are Elm trees, Cypus, Elm and you will get to see a lot of mix and you cannot cut them either, that is, even local Bhutanese people can cut them normally, if you think that it is a forest, it is a jungle, then anyone can cut it, can use it to cut it, even if it is a local Bhutanese, he will have to take permit and permission here, so guys, it is about to be around 6:00 according to the local Bhutan time and there is an area by bypass where we have reached, Thimpu is around 55 km from here and what views it is, amazing and I wanted to show you this natural waterfall which is called bypass waterfall, look at the water, the flow of water from the waterfall above is very fast and the water is flowing from the mountain from very high, friend and the water flows and goes to the lower part like this It is happening and around it, the entire forest area is a complete forest zone and is kept completely foggy and it is feeling very cold here as well, friend, as we are going up towards Thimphu, literally the weather is quite good, the good thing is that I was scared that it might rain here because the prediction of rain was very high, when I was checking the weather condition forecast, it was showing in it, right now this waterfall looks very nice and amazing, friend, the water is very cold, that’s why I don’t want to go too close, otherwise the water is splashing on the camera and microphone, that’s why I don’t want to show it further, but what a view it is, friend, it looks amazing, it seems as if the entire Bhutan, brother, the roads etc. have been constructed in this way by cutting the stones, and the cleanliness, sanitization for which Bhutan is known, you will see that in the entire Bhutan, so for every thing here, like I am staying here right now, now I think that here If I use the washroom etc. then there is a proper fine for that. I wanted to show you how much the fine is. It is written here, please do not litter. Littering is an offence. That is, if you create any kind of mess then it is a crime. Literally, it is a crime here. And look, how much is the fine. If you litter then if you do it for the first time then you will have to pay Rs. 250 in Bhutanese currency. If you do it again then you will have to pay Rs. 500, then Rs. 750. If you urinate etc. then you will have to pay Rs. 500 for the first time, Rs. 1000 for the third time and Rs. 1500 in Indian currency. If you come to dump any construction waste through a truck at any of these places, you will have to pay a penalty fine of Rs. 9000 per truck load. And the sign that you are seeing here is for safety reasons. Because this is a waterfall, water falls from here. Generally, people would like to park their vehicles here and wash them. So, for this reason This signboard has been put up that you should not stop here and wash your vehicle, this has also been mentioned and if you are found doing this, then you will be fined here. Your experience so far has been very good and this tour is also going very well so far, so let’s drive and reach the town and now I meet you friend Temo [Music] Good evening Good evening how are you Thank you Thank you so much Thank you Thank you or my God oh guys finally finally welcome to Thimpho capital and largest city of Bhutan so brother now I think it is about to be 8:00 according to the local time here and now we have reached here after driving around 100 55 60 km so I think this is our hotel where we are going to stay for three nights so right now I am tired so this is the reception area here where all the check in process is being completed rest just a little rest I will do that then I will give you the complete tour of this place, etc. Thank you Hello [Music] Kamal ji, tired no sir ji, I am fine, really, yes, so friend, now you think, as soon as you press enter, then firstly, I am feeling very cold here, friend, it is cold here, very cold, yes, I am feeling very cold inside as well, so this is a difference, as soon as you enter here, you see in the hotel, first of all, as a welcome drink, you can understand, he has biscuits and along with it, what is this, that roasted rice, vegetable roasted rice, well, the roasted rice which we call lai, is given here, rest of this is hot tea, good kind of tea [Music] [Music] So, in the hotel where I am going to stay, Let me show you the name of the hotel, this is Hotel Orovivela. It is called around three star category property. So this is our stay where we are going to stay for three nights. So the room looks something like this. I will give you a quick tour of it. There is a double bed here, you can see it. I am a single but this is a double bed. I will show you the rest of the services that are available here. Let’s enter. This is I think their singing area where these cattle etc. are present. They have kept two water bottles. Tea and coffee are all there. Water is also kept in it. Filtered water is available which can be drunk. The rest of the room is quite spacious. It is big. It can be a single one or double two people. If you are staying with a family, it is enough for that. I liked this thing here because it is very cold. So that’s why they have installed a room heater here. There is a sofa and a TV etc. in front. This is the cupboard where clothes etc. can be hung. Let me also show you the washroom once. This is a western washroom. Style, commode, etc., is quite neat and clean washroom, the best part is that guys, there is cold water, hot water, all that will come, rest, hair dryer, etc. is present here, the smell is quite nice, on etc., I think they have installed all these things, because this room has a balcony, so the view from the balcony is quite amazing, you see, it is night right now, still I will try to show you the view at night time, oh my God, wow, amazing, literally, from here, I think almost 40% to 45% of Thimpu can be seen, so this is such a view, guys, start, especially at night time, Thimu city has a very lovely and beautiful landscape of the entire Thimpu city, friend, so friend, guys, it is about to be around 9:00 now and now we are going to have dinner, so the dinner time is actually till 9 PM here , so this is the dining area of this hotel, and This is their small bar area here, if you want to drink etc. then you can have drinks etc. here, rest I think it is a complete buffet system here, so you can take whatever food you want to eat by yourself, hello, hi, namaste, how are you, Hindi, you can speak na, your name, my name is Nisha, ok, Ansha from India, Mumbai, so how to say like welcome in Bhutan in local your Gamka language is a greeting, Chimpaso Chimpaso in Bhutan, Chimpaso in India, ok, so these are all the staff members and I will show you the food here, ok, so this is rice, I think it is a non-veg dish, I think it looks like fish, I have got macaroni etc. in this, I think veg, so this is local, the staple food of Bhutan, it comes under it , so you can taste it and this is our paneer because you will also get Indian food here, mainly if you go to all the hotels, you will get all this food and this One is dal, so this is our traditional dal, so you will see almost in the entire meal, I think only one dish which is fish is non-vegetarian, rest of all you will get vegetarian here, so thank you, the small Rasmalai, I think I will eat it for the first time in Bhutan, so of course I will taste it for the first time, this is their local one, now in this they have said that there is cheese, there is potato, it is not like a soup type, it looks something like that, it has a complete creamy flavour, so guys, that’s it and the food was quite good, it was tasty, almost like I told you that you will also get Indian food to eat here, so this was my overall experience of today, friends, and it has been quite amazing, surprising and beautiful, the overall journey, I hope you guys must have enjoyed it, friends, so today is our first day and our total tour is of five nights and six days, so from tomorrow, the first taste of the proper Bhutan and of Thimpo which is the capital city and the surrounding area landscape. Bro, if possible, make a vlog about the Hindus of Bhutan. I heard that they were being forcibly converted to Buddhism.
