15 Days in Japan | Travel to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Yokohama, Kamakura, Enoshima

Here are a few ideas of places to visit and things to do while in Japan for 15 days. Day one, we arrive at Haneda airport in the afternoon and then head to the Tokyo Disney Sea Fantasy Springs Hotel. We have dinner and get some needed rest. Day two, we spend a full day at Tokyo Disneyland enjoying attractions and meals. Day three, we spend a full day at Tokyo Disney Sea, especially in the Fantasy Springs area. Day four, we take the Shinkansen to Osaka, but first make a stop at the Ramen Museum in Shinjokohama to have some delicious ramen. We check into the Hilton Osaka Hotel and then head to Shinsaiibashi for dinner and shopping. Day five. On this day, we head to Hiroshima and visit several significant sites, but also enjoy the ongoing flower festival activities. We then head to Mijiima Island in the afternoon and spend quite some time there before heading back to Hiroshima and Deosaka. Day six, we spend the morning at Universal Studios Japan. enjoying the new Donkey Kong area and some other attractions and snacks. And in the afternoon, we head over to the Osaka Expo where we visit various interesting pavilions until the evening. Day seven, we head to Kyoto where we rent kimonos and take a rickshaw ride around the Jasaka Shrine area and the beautiful Maryama Park. We then visit the Jasaka Shrine and walk around the surrounding streets before heading for a wonderful Coobe Beef late lunch at Coobe Beef Steak Moria. We continue our day sightseeing and shopping in the area before heading back to our hotel in Osaka. Day eight. We start our day by visiting the Nintendo Museum and afterwards take the Shinkansen to Yokohama and stayed at the Hilton Yokohama for the next few days. Day nine, we visit the Yokohama Cup Noodles Museum before heading to Kamakura and Enoshima for the rest of the day. Day 10, we head to Tokyo where we spend our day sizing around Shibuya and Harayuku. In the evening, we head back to Yokohama for our final day there. Day 11, we head to Ueno where we visit the zoo and spend some time at the Ueno Park before heading to Akihabara. We enjoy the festivities of the Kandamatsuri while doing some anime shopping. We end our day at the hotel gracery in Chinyuku. Day 12. We head to Ikabukuro and visit the Sunshine City Mall and the surrounding areas for some shopping, entertainment, and a nice meal. We end our day back in Chinjuku and watch a movie in the evening. Day 13. We visit the Gootokuji Temple in the morning and then head to San Rio land where we spend a few hours before heading to Shibuya for a sunset view from the Shibuya sky. Day 14. We visit the Imperial Palace grounds in the morning and the Tokyo Station Marini entrance before heading into the station for some shopping. We end our day in Akihabara at the At Home Cafe and we watch the Akiba Broadway show. Day 15. On our final day, we hang out in Chinuku and play one of our favorite games at the Kabushiko Tower before heading to the airport for our final trip home. So, that’s it for our trip. Here are a few ideas of places to visit and things to do while traveling in Japan for 15 days. This is just an overview of our third trip to Japan, so there are places that we visited for the first time as well as some places that we have already been to previously and decided to revisit. Please use this video to get ideas of places you can visit and make your own itinerary based on what you would like to experience. We are fast pace type of travelers with some gaps in between to allow for slower paced days and rest, so feel free to adjust your schedule based on your own pace and travel style.

On this trip, we start with a couple days at the Tokyo Disney Resort, which we have visited in the past. From there we head to Osaka as our base to visit Hiroshima, Miyajima Island, and Kyoto as well as places within Osaka. Then we head to Yokohama for a few days as our base to visit Kamakura and Enoshima Island, before heading back to Tokyo to visit some of our favorite locations.
