South Chiba Japan Surf trip with Ferry ride back home.
Okay, we are here at Ayama Beach, Takayyama, and get some long boarding ride off waves. Check it out. small, but it’s okay. Take them. They look all right. Yeah. I don’t know if I should wear my boots or maybe don’t need but like this one. Boat harbor over here. Nice day today. Oh, somebody’s sleeping over there. pretty good. Maybe I don’t need my boots. So, this the parking lot. That’s the houses. Oh, right there. That’s the one that I catch. I left. Okay. So, we’re going out and get ready. Okay, we here at Huro Beach. Get some pretty good waves and surf out there. Pretty good. These sets coming in. Just zoom in. some waves. Oh, look at that one bowling. Oh, yeah. Watch the sets coming. It’s a pretty grippers, man. Use my shotboard. Oh, damn. What the hell? Hey, not bad. More bowling waves over here than the other side. How’s that side? We look on that side. Look like more bowling though. So again, we at um Hua uh South [Music] Chiba and we can try them out. Try this fun board. cuz the waves look kind of a little bit weak over here. Got to wear booties cuz water cold. Surf boots. So, I’m going to try to go out without gloves and hood. See if I can handle what I cannot handle. I went rent them first and then and then um they would apply the rental cost to the price of the board. Just buy them out bottom. It’s pretty good and trust with FCS um ones gigs. So, this is like real historic Japanese restaurant and trouble boat, some old fishing boats. And then the P harbor over here. Pretty cool. So try eat here and see how the food is. Hardworking people, hardworking family, local family, family business. So we’re going to now looking good. Okay. How’s it everybody? So, we’re on our way home from um from Tatayyama and uh this is Sunday afternoon, March 2nd right now. So the traffic is really bad on the aqua line Sundays. Come here to the fair. So we waiting to drive drive on the ferry. I had to I had to go inside. I bought a ticket already. So one way one way ticket 4,900 with one passenger I mean. Yeah. So two people two [Music] people. So, one car I think is 3,900 with one passenger and then they charge you a,000 yen for um extra passenger. So, this the ticket counter over here. Ticket counter. And then um they get all kind um stuff over here like you can um purchase some clam chips and peanuts and kind of stuff. Pretty good stuff. Snacksy stuff. Strawberry more cheese stuff. This tastes good, huh? Oh, strawberry crunch. Wow. Good. Oh, this beer. They get their own beer. Yeah. So, all kind of stuff over here. It’s pretty cool. Oh, look at those clams. Oh, clams. Wow. As you can see, it’s some pretty cool cruising place. Nice and warm. So, right now it’s 4:30 and traffic is horrendous on the Aqualine. So, this is one alternative um route, you know, back home where we can drive our car on the ferry and it’s a 40-minute ride to Yokoska side and uh we can go to Yokoska base and pick up some Chinese food. So again, I get my designated driver here. So I’m going to enjoy this premium premium mount. And then this is the um I think this the cherry blossom version. Yeah. So yeah, come by. Oh man, that’s good. Okay. All right. We’ll be back when we start heading on the way. Okay. We’re off. Takayyama and we headed to Yokoska. Oh, it swells. That’s pretty cool. somewhere around there is our destination. Hey, I think it’s the first time I ride on boat since I sold my boat. Feels good to be back on the ocean. They were going pretty fast though. Yeah, that’s south south cha all the way on this side. So yeah, some good surf session, man. Was out maybe 2 and 1 half hours. It was smaller of waves. I think this boat ride is about 30 40 minutes. It’s for the anchor. The anchor anchor line. Yeah. Look how big that chain is. Pull up the anchor. the dock lines. Yeah, it’s pretty cool. Nice clear day today. Sunny. Okay, maybe um We’ll check out outside upstairs later. Okay, we’re up on the top deck now. [Music] And Tatayyama over there just left. And um again, we was down there. Chea. This is all Chiba right here. Shea this whole um section. Oh, look. That’s the statue. The one we went, remember? Oh, yeah. That’s I think that’s it. Yeah, I think that’s the one. But um so we headed um we headed down this side with the fishing boat over there. Any fishing boats? Nice. Japanese flag over there. Nice boat ride. Oh, this guy’s jiggy. Jiggy. So again we came from Chiba cheaper side and um over the base then um yeah so nice and clear with the sun. Yeah. My favorite drink. Yeah. Some kind of factory. Heading into port now. Lot of ships out in um Tokyo Bay. It’s the Aqualine out in the distance over there, but it’s hard to see. So, let’s go look that side. Heading into the fort now about 30 minutes. Yeah. Take a look on this side. Red channel marker. So red always remember the color is red or green. So red means returning on your and should be on your right. So that’s that’s how you got to remember uh navigation for the ship. Yeah. So on the opposite side of the channel will be green. Yo, it’s supposed to have a green [Music] buoy or at least one green marker. That’s That’s what it is. So, always remember red on your right when you returning. [Music] Oh, what is that? [Music] Yeah, that’s what I was just going to say. Look like one prison with the watch tower. Hello. Yeah. Sound like uh trolling trolling on the on the boat. Trolling for fish. Should have brought my uh fishing pole. Can go up. Look like trolling speed. There we [Music] go. How’s the rescue boat light? Not sure if it going to fit everybody though. Only get one. It’s pretty easy to um buy the ticket and just drive up, walk in, buy the [Music] ticket. They make it too easy. [Music] You know, I rather do this than drive the aqua line in the traffic. Of course, it’s normal traffic and it’s probably better to just drive. But it’s a good option, you [Music] know. Know what those traps for? Floaters. Be like fish fish traps maybe. March 2025. Awesome surf day trip to South Chiba. Ate at a local Japanese Teishoku restaurant next to the boat harbor with spectacular views. Awesome food by a local family owned business which they were very welcoming and friendly. Afternoon on Sundays are heavy traffic on the main highway Aqualine back to Kawasaki side from Chiba so we opted to take the ferry.
