My First Shinkansen Train Ride to Osaka + Casual Tour Around Dotonbori Area for Day 1 in Osaka
[Music] It’s okay. You can just come out. Finally here, guys, inside the Shinkansen train. This is my first time riding the Shinkansen. I think we’re just getting out of the main city at first. We’re still in the main city, so that’s why. Yeah, we cannot be in Shinkansen speed right away because all the buildings would be like the flash. Guys, so we’re in a tunnel. That’s why it’s so dark. And by the way guys, just for your information, when you’re in Shinkansen, um you can eat inside the train. You can bring your own food. They have the table. Actually, there’s the um garbage bin, the I think the emergency lines, and then the toilet. I think pretty much that’s it for this car. We’re in the car. Actually, we’re in the car one. We’re in the very very first car of the train set. Kyoto. So Kyoto [Music] [Laughter] [Music] Kyoto. Let’s go. Welcome to his first time. First time. How is How is it? How’s the first? How was the first? Yeah, pretty good. Very forward. I’m looking forward for the food. For the food. Nice. Can’t wait to eat some uh crab. Yeah. Yeah. I can’t wait to bring you to the Doan Bi today. It’s just uh we are just very near the Dotan B area, man. That’s where all the food are. All right. So now we’re um taking another train to our accommodation time in Osaka. Yeah, let’s go. Pretty good, huh? Pretty good so far. Pretty good so far. Tokyo was pretty good though. Yeah, it was pretty good. It was pretty good. But let me let’s see if Osaka will live up to its expectations. Yeah, guys, we’re now in I don’t even know what’s the name of this place. Just some some random uh with this one. Just translate it. Yeah. Hamburger steak with rice. Hamburger steak. Probably a lot of even a lot of restaurants are like closed. You know why? Because it’s uh already 3. I mean like past lunch and it’s not um not yet dinner. So the turnover. Yeah. Normally like uh they will prepare they’re preparing for the next basically shift. Oh that’s what it’s for. Put the receipt. All right. Now we have it. So there’s no like spoon. So it’s just basically chopsticks. Chopsticks. Oh for this. Normally you have the knife, right? No, that’s a Japan way of eating, right? Okay, we’ll try this. Let’s go, guys. We just want rice. And it smells very cheesy. Nice. I like this. I like cheese. A verdict. That was good. It was like um It’s like whatever. Mhm. Um it’s like a meth. Okay. Just just uh rate it from 1 to 10. Yeah. So, this I’d give it this like a six. Okay. It’s not like super It’s not bad. It’s just Yeah, it’s not bad. So, slow. I think we’re just hungry trying to find something to eat. You had no choice. And then the the burger was actually really juicy. Yeah. It’s just that um we’re not used to this food. Yeah. Yeah. True. It’s almost reminds us of like a burger steak. Burger steak. But the but the burger itself is already we call it here. Yeah. Oh. Oh yeah. The burger is really good. Wow. It’s so good. Yummy. Ice cream. Good. Ice cream. Yummy. You know that ice cream good ice cream. [Music] Yummy. Okay. Who’s this guy? I don’t even know who’s this guy. I just He’s a Gly cool [Music] [Applause] [Music] man. All right. So, we keep walking finding things. Solomon. Oh, I got Solomon’s. Oh, Solomon shoes. They’re really comfy bags. See taxfree basal lubong. All right. Taxree basal lubong. Oo. So cool. Do you think Uniqlo has car? I don’t think so. There’s more there. Let’s go. [Music] Uh, I think I need to wear the jacket [Music] jacket shirt. We are done. Um, you see we’re wearing scarves. Not still not really done. I mean, almost done, I guess. Yeah. So, we decided to just like shop for a few I would say few things um so that you know in the next few days we’re not going to be pressured to like find everything in one day at least you know we can slowly find those things cuz we don’t have a lot of time yeah that’s true okay so the one you buy taxree right I think before let’s say you want to buy matcha right I mean just make sure that it’s really the brand that you really like because some outside could be maybe a better brand, right? And then cheaper. Yeah. Fold your guns when you’re in a tax-free shop. If you’re agnostic and not really like have any preference in brand, right? Doesn’t really matter. Yeah. Also, be careful on these tax-free shops cuz they steal the bag. Oh, yeah. As well, that’s true. If you’re planning to like um use it now in Japan or you’re sharing it with like you’re shopping together with your friend and you want to once you leave Japan, you want to like separate the things, right? You cannot open the the bag. The bags. Why in Japan? The logo. The logo. Yes. This one. So now we’re cuz we have like things that are shared together in one bag. So we are we’re going to hand carry it and check separate it in Singapore. Open it. Yeah. Outside Japan. Yes. Yes. You cannot open it within Japan. or else you need to refund the tax the 10%. [Music] So that’s the name. It’s here in it’s here in Namba number one. Um if you’re going to eat here, you need to go to the reception and get a ticket number ticket and then they will call your name or sorry your number when there’s a lot of people waiting. So I I guess ak mic feels local inside though. [Music] Very nice. Look at this meal foot. [Music] Basically guys, we’re waiting for food. We’re being prepared by this wonderful chef. So nice ganda vibe. The vibe is a picture of yours looks [Music] nice. Let me go. [Music] This is the place we ate. Wagyuatin guys. This is a must in Osaka. Namba. The chef are so nice. They are very like they take photo pictures of us. And then and the ambience was nice. Ambience was good. It’s like really the Japanese experience right in front. The chef are in front of you preparing the food. It’s another like if you think of Japan, it’s like Yeah. It’s like it’s like that this is what I want. I want to eat something in vibes like this, you know. It’s good. What’s from 1 to 10? Anyone I want to ask you? From 1 to 10, what’s your That would have to be That would have to be like an 18 out of 10. Wow. You’re always You’re always like above the Why can’t you just perfect like 10? Okay. Really, really good, man. Really? It’s definitely worth checking out if you come to Osaka, for sure. And definitely wait. So my rating will be um yeah I think definitely more than 10. That was like 15 or 15 the experience the meat but I think I I recommend you getting the the garlic one the garlic theat something and then the chili the chili oil it’s really really nice. I love it, man. Spicy. Not too coming from me who doesn’t like spicy food and putting chili on my meal. That was perfect. Like the one of the desserts that Oh, yeah. The melon pan. Yeah. There. There. There. Yeah. We got Sorry. We’re going to buy the dessert. We’re going to eat the melon pan or whatever dessert. Yeah. And then go back hotel. Yeah. Because you need to wake up early tomorrow morning or the Universal Studios. The highlight of Osaka, man. love Universal Studios. For me, I’ve been in Universal Studios, not the first time, but I want to go back because there were some rides I wasn’t able to get into and there were some rides I want to do again. Yeah. So, I’m just finding lemon pan lemon pan lemon pan. Melon pan pala guys. We’re just looking for the melon pan. [Music] No, lemon pan. No sabi lemon pan. Melon pan. Okay, we’re trying the melon [Music] pan. I’ll get the the vanilla one. Vanilla. Yeah, vanilla. Okay, let’s try that. Okay. Vanilla ice cream. [Music] How’s it the bread? Oh, good. [Music] [Music] The bread nice and crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The ice cream is really nice. Yeah. Nice and warm, freshly baked also. Yeah. We saw the woman come out with the fresh the fresh ones. What’s your rating? What’s your rating out of like from 1 to 10 again? You know, of course we rate now. It’s my first time taking the Shinkansen “Bullet Train” from Tokyo to Osaka. It’s our day 1 so we didn’t do much besides doing some few tax-free shopping and foodtrip around Dotonbori area. It’s where the famous Glico sign man is located. I miss this place for its food! There’s a lot of food in this area and you can definitely do a lot of shopping! By the way, it’s also Kyle’s first time in Osaka, so can’t wait to explore this side of Japan in the next few days!
