Port of Seattle Police responded to the incident following reports that passengers and flight crew had restrained the person who tried to open the door mid-flight.
After assessing the situation, authorities determined the passenger was experiencing a medical crisis. The person was subsequently taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
In a separate incident, officials said a second passenger was removed from the same flight for unruly behavior before the plane continued its journey to Houston.
This incident was unrelated to the first, and afterwards, the flight was able to depart without issue.
