Japan Travel Series Trailer – 19 Days in Japan During Autumn

Hey, hey, hey. Heat. Hey, heat. Hey, heat. Heat. Heat.

Come along with us on an unforgettable 19-day adventure through Japan in autumn! From historic temples to modern cities, serene mountains to magical theme parks—this series covers it all.

We started our journey in Fukuoka, then made our way to Hiroshima where we visited the Atomic Bomb Dome and the peaceful Miyajima Island. From there, we explored Osaka, checked out Osaka Castle, wandered the vibrant streets, and had an epic day at Universal Studios Japan.

Next stop: the sacred mountains of Koyasan, home to Japan’s largest cemetery and countless beautiful temples. We continued to Nara, met the famous bowing deer, and saw one of the Three Great Buddhas of Japan.

Afterwards, we hopped on the scenic train to Kyoto, where we strolled through the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, climbed the steps of Fushimi Inari Shrine, and admired the autumn leaves at Eikandō Temple. From Kyoto, we road-tripped to Fukui to see the giant Echizen Daibutsu and the moss-covered Heisenji Hakusan Shrine.

In Takayama, we wandered the old streets, enjoyed Hida beef, and soaked in the small-town charm. Then came a magical morning at Mount Fuji, staying at Mizno Hotel and watching the sunrise over Fuji-san before visiting some peaceful local villages.

Finally, we wrapped up our trip in Tokyo, exploring Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya, and finishing strong with a visit to the Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo.

Oh—and did we mention? We did this entire trip while my wife was 16 weeks pregnant! So the pace was a bit slower and more thoughtful, making this a great itinerary if you’re planning a babymoon or just want a less rushed travel experience.

This trailer gives a sneak peek into all the places we visited and the amazing autumn vibes across Japan.
