Walking Tour EXPO 2025 Osaka | Giant Ring Plant-Based Burger & Sunset Bus Ride
I took the subway to Yumeshima Station, the nearest stop to the Expo 2025 site. The ride was smooth and gradually filled with Expo-goers — a lively mix of families, students, and international visitors. From the station, I followed the signs to the East Entrance, joining the flow of excited attendees.
The weather was cloudy with bursts of sun, and occasional passing showers came and went. One moment I was walking in the glow of warm light, the next I was ducking for cover — it added a refreshing, spontaneous rhythm to the day.
Just beyond the entrance stood the breathtaking Grand Roof Ring, a 2-kilometre-long wooden structure arching over the Expo grounds. It’s massive, elegant, and symbolic — walking beneath it truly felt like stepping into the future.
I spent hours exploring both grand and intimate pavilions, each offering unique cultural, technological, and environmental perspectives. From interactive national exhibits to smaller, thought-provoking installations, the entire site was a journey of discovery.
For lunch, I had a plant-based burger from an eco-conscious food stall — delicious, hearty, and paired with crispy fries and a chilled yuzu soda. It was a meal that matched the Expo’s forward-thinking spirit.
After soaking in more sights, I walked to the West Entrance, taking in the quieter, less crowded side of the Expo. To end the visit, I hopped on an electric shuttle bus back to the East Entrance — and along the way, caught a glimpse of the sun beginning to set over the site. The sky was streaked with soft gold and lavender hues, casting a beautiful glow over the Ring and pavilions.
Just before exiting, I spotted a beautifully designed manhole cover featuring the Expo 2025 graphic — a small but memorable touch that made me smile. Even the ground beneath your feet tells a story here.
