We are finally, finally, finally in Universal’s brand new, the newest theme park in all Florida, all the world, Epic Universe. And we are here for a preview opening technically, right? Or a soft rehearsal opening. Yeah, we’re here for a preview opening. So, they’re doing annual passholders, certain uh credit card holders, and also people who are staying at the hotels. And we stayed at the Helios Hotel. So, we were able to get tickets for the preview before the park officially opens in May. Yeah, we cannot wait. We have no clue what this video is going to end up being like. This is all new to us, all fresh to us. We’re going to go to all the lands. And if we don’t get to everything today, we’re coming back next week already. So, we’ll see how this video ends up, but we are here to explore, have fun, and just and we know a lot of other people have, and we’re going to be part of that group, but we are excited. It seems everyone’s excited. So, you ready to go in? It’s going to be epic. We’re actually already in. We are in Epic Universe, but we are heading because we’re in here an hour early. We’re heading towards uh Super Nintendo World. Let’s go. [Music] All right, we’re passing um Dark Universe, right? What’s it called? It’s closed. You can see a barricade up over it. Um because only Super Nintendo World is open at 10:00 a.m., correct? But yeah, it looks amazing. It’s alive. It’s alive. It’s alive. It’s alive. So yeah, absolutely awesome. There’s no one here right now. This is This is like once in a lifetime. I feel like this is not going to happen again. So, really have to appreciate being here where there’s just so few people. Yeah, there’s there’s no one here. I I’ve counted maybe what 50 people total. I’m sure there’s more. I’m sure Nintendo is jammed right now. Yeah, Nintendo’s jammed. And Oh, here it is. We’re heading that way. Oh my gosh. The little coins. [Music] Oh wow. We just went through a warp pipe to get in stairs. This is This is so cool. And we found the crowds, everyone. All right, so I unlocked the first There’s 200 stamps as of now in Super Nintendo World. Sarah’s about to unlock Mario. So that should be added to your collection in the app. This is so amazing. If you play modern Nintendo games from the Wii, the Wii U, the Switch, and probably the Switch 2, they’re very big on stamp collecting. And the Japanese culture is very big on stamp collection. They are. So now they Oh, wow. I don’t want to show a kid, but really quick. How cool is that? This is awesome. All right. [Music] [Music] All right. I just want to spend the whole day in this land. Period. Super Nintendo World is We have to go to the other one. Yeah. This is insane. Universal. Holy cow. Adults are loving this. Kids are loving it. I’m not loving the stairs. Yeah, lots of stairs. Accessibility challenges abound. Yeah, there are elevators I’ve seen. We’ll talk more about that later. Uh where’s Sarah? Okay, we are heading towards what? The Mario Kart. Yeah, we’re do Mario Kart and then I think Yoshi. Yeah, we were just in the restrooms and the restrooms are themed. We might sort of put a photo. Didn’t take video. So cute. Even the magics are thing. Yeah, you’re underwater. So, up we go again. A Princess Peach. This is so cute. Yeah. I I think both of us are on overdrive. This is simulation overload. Yeah. Uh this I think everyone else already said it. We’re saying it now. Even if you’re probably not a fan of Nintendo or know the history of Mario Kart and everything, this would impress you. But being a fan since the 80s, since the late When did Donkey Kong come out? Anyway, this is I You want to just stop and let people pass you. Maybe we will later when it’s quieter. Because I never can wear different things like this cuz they always fall off. Hi. Yeah. This cube has been insane. Um they said it was a 15-minute wait time. Took us about 42 minutes. So it’s kind of accurate. Everyone as soon as we walked into this room and put on our little visor things, our Mario hats, people started cheering and everything. Everyone is excited. I got we couldn’t film in there obviously, but when we were done on the Mario Kart ride, literally the seat wouldn’t come up and I got stuck. Oh, there she goes. Um, it was awesome. We exited through the gift shop at Mario Motors. So much stuff to buy in there that we’re not buying today. What’ you think of the attraction? Amazing. It was so fun. Yeah, once you It took me about half the ride the first time to see. They tell you beforehand, you got to look at what you’re shooting at, but once you kind of really accept that and figure it out, it goes a lot quicker, I think. or a lot not quicker. Um, makes more sense. Yeah. And it was so fun. And we got to go on Rainbow Road. Yep. Uh, Bowser beat us on this particular challenge. And Brandon beat me by one point. One coin. I got 101 coins. Sarah got 100 coins. And the guy in the car with us got 33. So, if you’re watching this, brother, you need to you need to ramp up a little bit there. No. Um, it was awesome. We have seen a lot of people trying to take the elevators, which is what we’re on right now. They’re not easy to find. Yeah, not easy to find. Even the rides, but they are available. Sarah. Yeah, we’re we’re leaving the Mushroom Kingdom. I know. We’re going up the board pipe. Choo choo choo [Music] choo. All [Music] [Music] right. So, we stopped by the uh the store out front of Super Nintendo World. This It’s so cute. There’s a tapestry. I just noticed. Yeah. What? Universal sell that tapestry. Are we getting Are we getting uh Zelda? I feel like there’s several Zelda signs here. Yeah, there’s Zelda references everywhere. We especially Sarah thought the next expansion would probably be Luigi’s Mansion or something. I think that’s going to come eventually, but I think the next expansion next year, 5 years, 10 years is going to be Zelda. It’s dangerous to go alone. Take our love. All right. So, uh I don’t know if we said it earlier, but there are four different portals into different lands inside Epic Universe, but there’s also a fifth land, which is what we’re in now. Celestial Park. Celestial Park. Um it’s beautiful as well. There is what one or two attractions here, right? Uh yeah, there’s the carousel. Oh, yeah. Right. Which is like a 10-minute wait right now. Oh, awesome. And then the That’s it. No. Start us racing us races right over there, which we will not be going on. We will not uh Yeah, we’re kind of done with coasters at our advanced age and our internal organs. But uh no, we are we actually uh talked about where to go now because believe it or not, I mean, we said it before when we first uh started this video, it is a test day, right? Uh so a bunch of stuff is down. So Monsters Unchain is down, Donkey Kong is down. So we’re hoping those will get up later. So I think we’re going to go to the Ministry of Magic. Yep. and see what we can see in there. Let’s go to 1920s Paris 30s. I will get a vegan butterbeer. A gluten-free vegan. I’ve never had the dairyfree version. I’ve never gotten butterbeer at Universal because it’s so much dairy that I never got the original gluten-free one, but now they have a vegan one. Oh, and it’s gluten-free. So, I think we’re going to have to finally get it. You’re getting it. Let’s go. [Music] She said it did open. All right, I want both of our reactions for the first time as we walk around this. So, we’re This is amazing. and we’ve just been taking photos and videos, just being thankful for being here. And Sarah just saw her one of her, if not her favorite animals from the wising world, a moon calf. Saw a moon calf. So, pro tip, if you want to see the baby moon calf, go over to the eye glasses store. It sounds like little baby needed some visual help, so was adopted by the optometrist there. So, go see the moon cap. And then also look up, down, and all around. You’re going to see nifflers everywhere. Those little stinkers are are just going to be like, “Naughty, naughty, you’ve been caught.” And really quick, these glasses. Does everyone remember the classic novel and film The Great Gatsby? There’s a recurring I guess on the road, a street sign of eyeglasses. Anyway, it it matters in the novel. But no, this is incredible. The moon is the moon calf. The moonf is adorable. What I really like too is it is hard to get video or photos cuz he’s really in the dark, but it fits because they wouldn’t want him in the light because he’s a dark creature, right? Yeah. Well, they like they come out at night. Yeah, they come out at night. So, very cool. [Music] All right. Wow. Sarah, what did we just watch? because it was incredible. Wow. So, we ended up deciding to go see Lasser or Canoe, which was a show. We didn’t really know a lot about it other than there’s Fantastic Beasts that were involved. And wow, mind blown. Listen, everybody, I got some stuff to say. I think you do, too. We didn’t know what to expect. There is no filming or photography allowed in there, so please don’t do it. We didn’t. A couple people had to be told to stop. Don’t break the rules. Don’t film on rides if you’re not if you’re not supposed to. If you’re not supposed to. Yep. But long story short, we didn’t know what to expect. And the theming of the queue alone is incredible. You walk into this little tent, but like the films, the Fantastic Beast films, it’s much larger inside. And then we got to a big room. And you want to take over from there? Yeah. We got to kind of a staging room, which we were like, is this a pre-show? Is this the actual show? And they were like, it’s going to start at 3:00. And it was kind of unclear. And then a bunch of people left. started and it was sort of like in a tent, everybody’s standing and they did kind of an overview and then that really was the pre-show. So, I guess that’s all that to say. You will probably be standing for a little bit, but it is a pre-show. You will then go into a theater where there is plenty of seating seats with back support, air conditioning, and it is out of all the theme parks, Disney, SeaWorld, Universal, there’s a lot of live stage shows, and there’s a lot of good ones, too. Disney has amazing ones. SeaWorld has amazing ones at Christmas and everything. This is probably the best of the best for the live stage performance. We haven’t seen the Untrainable Dragon yet. You’re right. We have We’ve heard great things about that. We also want to see that too. We probably aren’t going to see it today, but I think on our next visit, which is next week, we’ll be able to hopefully get to see that. Yeah. This show really quick, no spoilers, it’s about dignity and respect and passion for animals. Um, as someone around our age group who grew up going to circuses, for example, we would not do that today. uh you live and learn and stuff. You don’t want to ride an elephant or see it chained up or anything like that. Um this show kind of touches upon that kind of stuff and I’ll leave it at that. Phenomenal. Amazing. So good. Out of this world. Um yeah, no spoilers. Please go see it. When you get into the first room and you’re all standing, we ourselves thought, is this the show? It was cool, but we’re like this can’t be it. Thankfully, it wasn’t. So, please don’t get out of line and exit at that point. There’s a huge in for a huge treat. And we don’t know where we’re going now. Let’s go explore. [Music] Yeah. All right. So, we were going to go to the new wand shop here in 1920s Paris and get Sarah a wand. Um, but we still may. But what Sarah, what happened? I’m in a quandry right now because they have these beautiful kind of art new bows style wands that I’m in love with. And but they’re considered the first gen wands. And so the ones that are the second generation ones that do all sorts of interactive stuff and you can make your own patronas and stuff, those I don’t like. Yeah, they’re not designs at all. So the first generation wands are still, as far as we know, like the ones we already have at home, they’re interactive. You can cast the spells or interact with the park, right? But the newer wands do that plus make your own patronis plus they like shake, vibrate, and light up in your hand and do something more with the app. Is that correct? I think so. But they’re not. We have to do some investigation. From what we saw in there, and we’ll go back. They’re not as cool as the first generation. I love the art nuvo style ones. They’re so beautiful. Boxes are better, too. It’s It’s kind of disappointing. So, I’m in a quandry. Yeah, a laundry. I’m in a laundry. Oh my gosh. So, we don’t know. We are not buying a wand right now, but we’ll update you if we do. [Music] All right. So, we are taking a little bit of air conditioning break and are in I’m gonna look at the name because I’m forgetting it completely. Cafe dear and it is in it is a French inspired restaurant. We apologize to our French people. Sorry, my semester of French did not go well. No. Um, so we came here specifically because we did go to the butterbeer cart because I wanted to get the gluten-free, dairyfree, and vegan butterbeer, but they only actually sell it here in this specific restaurant. So, um, we decided to come make a trip specifically for that. You can order just the butterbeer over at the drink station or you can also get a table and you can do mobile order and the same protocol will apply with the special diet and ordering. Again, if you want to do an allergy consult, you would do the same thing. So, this is my first better beer. She asked if I wanted frozen or regular. And I did. I went regular just to try it. And if I really like it, we’ll go frozen next time. So, it’s not It’s like room temperature or something. No, it’s cold. It’s cold. It’s just the frozen one’s more like a slushie. Gotcha. Understood. So, this one has like a vegan whipped topping on it. Looks good. It’s a cream soda. It is very sweet. I’m going to tread gently. I’m going to go gentle with this because I like it if you love kind of the butterscotch flavor. And of course, if you’re here at their Wizarding World, whether it’s in Epic Universe or over at Diagon Alley or in Hogsme, you got to get butterbeer. And now that they have a gluten-free, dairyfree option with the topping, right? Hallelujah. So happy. So, somebody did the right spell to make sure we had the right kind of topping. So, it’s good. I love the topping. The actual cream soda is very sweet, but uh yeah, it’s nice. I’m curious what the frozen one would be like. So, maybe we’ll get that on. Yeah. All right, we are France. We are leaving uh Wizarding World uh the uh Fantastic Beast and uh heading back through the portal. And we are going to now where? Monsters. I think we’re going to go to Monsters. I’m talking about from the Mary Shel novel, the film, and the history. They call him Dr. Frankenstein. Dr. Frankenstein. He was never a doctor in the Mary Shel novel. He was a medical student, probably in his early 20s, maybe mid20s. I believe he was actually kicked out of medical school. So, he never obtained his medical degree. If anything, call him Mr. Frankenstein. But, uh, just a PSA from me to all of you that Victor Frankenstein never obtained his degree. He was not a practicing doctor. And it’s bigger than what you think. It’s huge. Yeah, it’s giant. I think it’s the biggest land out of all of them that started out. I think there’s a lot of expansion for the other ones. City World is pretty big, too. There’s no one here right now. We’re running back in because evidently both rides, Mario Kart and uh Donkey Kong are down to 20 minutes right now. Anyway, we will not be going on mine cart uh today. We will uh what? Maybe it comes back later, but probably not. Probably the next visit. So, uh and they’re not giving out um like return time, so that’s why we came back a second time. And this time they were just like it’s going to be down for a while. So a lot of people were just leaving. Some people are hanging out and toughing it out. But we are zero for two for my car madness. [Music] Victory is mine. Victory number one in our car with four people total. Number one out of both cars. 137, right? That was awesome. So I got first the first time. How did you get this last time? I got 113. That’s pretty. You beat the last time. Something like that. And we’re out of breath again cuz you have to walk up massive staircases. As a matter of fact, the team members had to full disclosure. there telling people no elevators, no elevators because a lot of people want to get in the elevators. Everyone Americans are out of shape and we’re you heard me. You heard me. We we we don’t have that culture here. I wish we did, but also not ADA compliant. It Well, I guess they have elevators, but it’s not it’s not ADA friendly. Very again, as of today, even if you’re winded and you think like two flights of stairs are not for you, they were making people walk in. So, just a heads up, not mad at anyone. We made it up, obviously. Amazing attraction. Amazing. I mean, I love it and it gets better every time. So good. I can’t wait to to go on it again. Yeah. Cannot wait. And everyone, as of this filming, Mario Kart World and the Switch 2 is not out yet, but it will be. And we can’t wait. Let’s go. [Music] You’re right. Don’t be afraid. Darkness lies ahead. For years, I have studied and controlled the monsters that prowl the darkness. We just got off what? Monsters Unleash or Unchained? Monsters Unchained. Monsters Unchained. Sarah, is this one of your top three or five attractions at any theme park? Amazing. Incredible. So good. Yeah. So good. Wow. Brandon is very nervous about stuff like that and he you said you were fine. I was fine. Um, initially the first 30 seconds made me queasy, but no, just look ahead. And it felt like Transformers at Universal Orlando, but on super steroids. It was so incredible. The animatronics are amazing. Yeah. Let’s keep talking, Sarah. Okay, we’re Let’s get out of people’s way. What’s happening? I just want to keep talking about this. It’s worth the wait. It said it was 40 minutes. It was about 20. No, it was about 25 30 about 25 minutes. We’ll cut to the middle. So, I loved it. It was incredible. The story you could follow the story. Yeah. Um the animatronics are insane. I think if you’ve done Forbidden Journey and that makes you kind of nauseous. This is a better version in that there’s not as much of the There is screen stuff, but it’s built in I think a lot more smoothly. Agreed. And I think it’s not as jerky and as chaotic as Forbidden Journey. So, this is I thought this was animatronics top notch. Top notch. Oh my gosh. Yeah, huge win. Universal. Everything here is a huge win. It’s an epic win. But we’ll talk more about this later. Absolute win. With that, we’re going to move on to something else, but go on this. No spoilers, but you might be seeing a lot of other monsters. I like your wagon. [Music] Our first day at Epic is coming to a conclusion. We did almost what 11 hours. Yeah, we have 1 hour before the park closes. So, we are tapping out. We did not make it to Isa Burke today, which I am sad about, but it is going to be our priority on our second visit, which is coming up. So, you’ll see that vlog, too. We’re going to highlight Isa Burke and just so much more. We have so much more to see, so much more to do. I already love this park so much. Absolutely love it. Universal, you have hit a home run the likes of which please let other theme park people in the area not be scared, but compete. Yeah. Right. Like you can be creative together. Yeah. We’re talking about the little park down the street called Walt Disney World. Everyone knows it. We love it. Disney, sorry. This is You ain’t got Epic Universe. The theme, the immersiveness. You don’t feel like you’re any place but Super Nintendo when you were in Super Nintendo. Right now, Dark Universe is coming alive at night. We saw the Burning Bling Blade, right? Yes. the Burning Blade Tavern. Tavern, Flames of Fire. It was so good. Incredible. Ministry of Magic and the whole wizarding world. We have to go back. We did not see enough. But that show Oh, the show was amazing. I can’t wait to go on the attraction there and just explore more. There’s so much more to do. Yeah. We have had an epic time at Epic Universe and we can’t wait to share more with you all. When they first announced this, Sarah, you remember? I thought the name Epic Universe sounded really stupid. It sounded just stupid. No, Universal. You were dead on. You had a vision I didn’t have. This is You should have called it Beyond Epic Universe. Yeah, it’s amazing. And also, we have to quickly shout out all of the incredible team members that we have encountered today. from the team members in the restaurants to the rides like in the lands. The fountain’s going down. Oh my gosh. [Music] We cut away because an amazing water show just went on in the middle of our debrief. That was so fun. Epic. Also epic. Anyway, we’re going to cut this off now. Head home. Amazing day. I have no clue how this video is going to look. Sarah probably has a concept because she does all the editing. No, I I promise you, I’m not saying it because it’s us. No one out there, including us, that you’ve seen video from or photos from can do this place justice. Would you agree? I would agree.
