Something’s Still Alive in this ABANDONED House!
It’s a stormy day in spring and we find ourselves in Belgium. An abandoned house with two Mercedes cars left in a driveway. As if their owners were planning to return, but in fact they never did. The front door is barely holding on. Yet inside everything remains. It feels recent, but something about it suggests otherwise. Whoever lived there was settled. Possibly an older couple with years of memories layered into the walls. Today we explore what was left in silence. A home full of questions with seemingly no one left to answer them. And just when a story starts to take shape, we find something we never expected. I’ve never seen this in an abandoned place. Welcome back everybody on a brand new episode in Belgium. So, I’m currently standing at this house with still two beautiful Mercedes cars standing here that I’m going to show in more detail in a bit. They’re mustsy inside. They’re decaying. And the house itself is a veritable time capsule. It is quite modern. I think abandoned for just a modest 5 years, but still exciting to show it to you since there are some old artifacts and one special thing that I have never seen before in an abandoned place. And we got a little bit scared about it at first. although it’s also something really beautiful and precious. So stay tuned for that. And for now, let’s explore this house over here in Belgian lands. I’m excited for it and I hope you are too. First of all, let’s explore the cars. Not sure if this one is also unlocked. The window is open at least. Oh, wow. Check that out. completely musty leather seats. There is even still a plushy teddy bear and a little duck on the passenger seat. A gentleman’s head on the back seat. The dashboard is empty. Oh, and it’s also very moldy. So sad. Once this was really beautiful car back in the days for sure. I’m also not sure what’s over here. I think it’s just a shed parts. Yeah, it was kind of a working place. You can tell that the Mercedes logo has already been stolen. Sadly, we are just growing. And this was actually a convertible 230 CE Mercedes. As a former owner of a convertible car, it is quite sad to see a car in such a state like this. If you will see the inside of the car, you can tell it’s in really a rough shape. I mean, yes, nice green in your car isn’t that bad at all as a color, but this is literally must. This car only drove 171 kilometers. That’s like a rough 80 miles. Even still the radio over there. I think many people agree in me that in this modern world, cars and nice cars especially that this was back in the day and still is a decent car. It’s just sad to see it like this. I mean, there were enough people in need and it’s just a shame that they are left to wither away over here. Logo is quite faded. Okay, let’s enter this place. The the entrance is very straightforward since Yeah, this door is almost falling out. Got to be careful because I don’t want it to completely collapse. The entire door frame is just losing. Well, first thing is this fridge there. Fridge. There are still some tins with tuna or something, I think. and a bottle of water. This is expired in 2017. Ooh, 2025. That is strange. That is really strange. If we look to the ground, it’s quite captivating since this is a typical style for an Italian floor. I often refer to them as hexagons. hexagon floor tile pattern. I think it is the first time ever I see this in a Belgium home. No is already very damaged. There are still some nice leather man shoes. Let’s continue away through here. As you can tell, this home is still entirely furnished. I’m not sure if I like the style. At least they could have picked a different table over here. Looks like the last person maybe slept. Still some hats. Oh, by the way, you might hear a soft squeaking sound in the background. That is a surprise that I will show you in a bit. And you’re going to be flabbergasted. Still sucks in here. Laces. Wow. Look to this style pattern over here that is used in the fireplace design. Massive sombrero hanging on the wall. And this was a little kitchen. Still two kettles on the furnace. The last dishes over here. Moldy. Wa. Water is still running. Now, given that we are in Belgium today, I also really want to try out the electricity. What will be expiration date of this? This says 2009. Finding a lot of different dates. Pocket radio of Sony over here. Coffee. Oh, there some spiders. Tiny washing towels. Huh? Look at this guys. The room where I’m currently standing in used to be a bathroom originally. Says there was also a toilet. And we have a photo. Could have been the last owner. I know. This was actually a friend of theirs that passed away. His name was Andre. Still a quite vintage television. Sierra. Not sure if I found that brand before. Now, let’s continue. I cannot wait to show you this. Not sure if there are any people scared of certain animals, but I mean, I do not really see the reason why you have to be scared, but maybe you don’t like to see this. So, just a kind warning. This used to be another dining table. They used it for a lot of storage. It’s an odd place. Many bars used for storage. Well, some clothes over here on the shelves. I also like this hat saying Belgium. It’s actually from the national football team. I believe this bathtub over here was probably taken out of the bathroom where they made their kitchen. Clearly tell a lot of cobwebs. Another toilet again. Where is a note? And it says this can be reused. So given that note you are maybe figuring out in the family we can throw this away we can still use this eventually the reason why it now all sits here remains a question for me as well. And you might still think, okay, when is the surprise coming? In a bit, we’re getting really closer. And you can probably also hear that all these beautiful tiles again. It’s all covering this old stove, marble fireplace, guys. And check this out. I’ve never seen this in an abandoned place. This is Wow. This is a baby rat. It was just born. No freaking way. I really hope it survives. We might have to give it some water. Never seen this. No freaking way. We’re going to need to bring it some water and hope it has a chance of surviving in this early stage of life. It’s really young, maybe even um prenatal, like too early to be born from the fetal leather boots over here. And I’m still a little bit amazed because we found this and was like, “Wo, where is the noise coming from? I’ve never seen this before.” But yet, we have an enchanting bedroom. Also, look at the lamp. Wow. All these porcelain pots used to be for rice, sugar, other kitchen ingredients. Walking cane, and some more jackets over here. Love the Belgian stoves and also wow the floor pattern code over here. Nothing left in here at least. No clothes, just some blankets, clothes. And over here used to be another bedroom. You can still see a bed standing here. So maybe when they had children, the child used to sleep here given the sheer size of the room. It continues a little bit over here. I think this is a home where the parents passed away and the children took at least most of the pictures and the memories and are still figuring out what to do with the rest if I have to make a quick assumption. But those are my thoughts of course. If you have any other thoughts, leave it down in the comment section below. And yeah, let’s discuss in the comments because I love to hear your opinions and your thoughts on the theories that I come up with. Poor little baby. So cute. Oh, it feels wrong to just walk away from it. I’m going to try to help it a little bit, but will be hard. But given that it’s here, I hope its parents are actually not too far away. So, we explored one wing of the home. Now, I will briefly show you the upstairs. Looks like they maybe already started renovating here or something. Bikes over there. Ooh, actually standing on glass. It is quite a big space. A lot of wicked chairs over here and other wooden chairs. A lot of planks. Mostly stuff they were planning on using for renovation. I’m really expecting to encounter rats here to be honest. Not scared of rats. They won’t do anything, but they should be close, right? If there is a baby, what better place to hide for them than on this dusty attic over here? Let’s make our way down. Let’s first show you these two parts. This was their garage. Still a bicycle over here. Oh yeah, we still need to test electricity. What is over here? Is it a basement? Oh, yeah. It’s a basement. Sorry, but I’m not sure I want to go down here. Well, at least it’s not floated. H. There are definitely going to be rats down here. It’s quite little and actually quite calm. Okay, maybe I am a little scared for an unexpected encounter. Wow, look at the glass chandelier. This used to be the front entrance to this home. There are so many Belgian stoves in this place. Also nice wooden dressers and cupboards. Newspaper from 2014. Furniture storage. Again, they own a lot of chairs. A lot of chairs. Let’s continue through here. Okay. Motor helmet. And this was another kitchen. Almost looks like they divided this home into two living quarters. Maybe one for the parents and one for the children. Wow. Check out this radio. It is like a cabinet. Carting record player there and a radio here and speakers will be at the bottom. Aha. So, here they had their shower. Really strange how this has all been designed and constructed. A really odd home. Maybe they started renovation works already on the ceiling here since it doesn’t look like it has naturally decayed. Let’s show you the most magnificent room in my opinion in this place. And that’s this main living room. Wow. So over here they had a little corridor. You see that’s where they built the shower that I’ve just shown you. And then there was a third toilet in this place. So only one shower but three toilets. Given the interior in the pictures, I think it was definitely an older couple living here. I believe this is even in front of their house. There is also holy water statue over there. and an old family photo. Wow, look at the sconces. The barometer. I think this is even one generation before the other black white photos that we’ve just seen. And this Wow, this is magnificent. Look at this intricate carve work. The wooden carvings are so fascinating. Very detailed. It’s probably my favorite dresser that we’ve seen in this place. Also, the handles. This was for cutlery. They’re very hard to open. a lawn mower. There’s a little chuck. Some nice paintings. Thinks like a souvenir that they took with them from somewhere abroad. Lamb is also quite unique. Not sure if it’s very old. It’s definitely old looking. Another old photo. Son and mother, I assume. Another doll. Okay. You could use two fingers to open these. And then it’s not even possible to open them because the wood has expanded because of the humid conditions in this place. It is incredibly difficult to open them. So I’m just going to respect it and leave it the way it is. Clock on the wall. And I’m not sure if you already noticed it, but who on earth decided to place all these heating tubes just across the entire wall with holes going through the wall. Looks so chaotic from an aesthetic point of view. Absolutely ugly. Then over here you have a wood burning stove and the pipe goes from there would have gone through there all the way across the room. It’s so weird. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed it already, too. Another detail, look to the ceiling. It is concave and all in different parts. That is also a feature I’ve never seen before. This home is unusual. It’s different from others. If I have to compare what I usually see in Belgium, the same ceiling shape comes back over here in the final room. where there are still some nice sconces left. So if we take a glimpse over here outside delta garden also hasn’t been actively used for a long time and there is a lot of wood storage for all these wood burning stoves that we found inside. Finally this is also all smashed. People wanted to take valuables out that were once lying within. It is really sad. You can tell we as explorers were again too late. There is finally another bed. So this used to be another bedroom. I have a similar sero head like that lying in my own bedroom. So that’s quite funny. and yeah, some more clothes. So, that’s where we conclude another exploration in Belgium. I really want to thank you for making it to this point of the video and for supporting all my adventures. And if you want to even support on a higher level, there is our channel memberships where we also offer member exclusive videos. For example, today we also did another place that will only be available for the members in the tier for the member exclusive videos, but we also offer other nice perks such as pictures or shout outs, custom emojis, you name it. Anyway, also leave your thoughts in the comment section what you think about the baby rat that I found and if we did the right thing. Since I gently placed it near a patch of greenery and fresh water in the garden with no signs of its mother, I hoped this would give the poor baby the best chance to survive. And yeah, I still don’t really know what to think of this place. So, I’m also curious what your thoughts are from an aesthetic point of view about this home. It was unusual and unique for sure. So, that’s what actually made me enjoy this and I hope you did the same. And if you did, like, subscribe, and comment right down below. And also hear it, hit that bell notification button if you want to be notified every single week when we post a new video. And then yeah, I will see you once again with a brand new video next week. On a stormy spring day in Belgium, we stumble upon a seemingly untouched home. Two vintage Mercedes still stand in the driveway — as if their owners meant to return, but never did.
Inside, the house feels like time simply stopped.
No cleared rooms. No signs of renovation. Just silence — and a life left behind.
Clues suggest an older couple once lived here, their memories woven into every corner. But something interrupted their story. And since then, no one has come back.
What starts as a quiet exploration of a forgotten Belgian home quickly takes a turn when we uncover something still alive — a fragile surprise that changes the entire atmosphere of our visit.
Come with us as we explore:

Vous êtes un explorateur très spécial ,l. Je connais des milliers de maisons abandonnées , Je suis aussi un explorateur de lieux abandonnés … Je peux te donner l'adresse si tu veux . Mercii guys ❤
What a wonderful location! So many delightful finds within. As far as the rat baby, you probably should have left it where it was so the mother would be able to go back to it. She was probably just hiding while you were there. The department of wildlife here always says to leave the babies because the mom will come back (unless the mom was killed). Once moved their chance of survival goes way down especially for one so young. At any rate, you hoped to be saving it so much respect and love. Cheers. ❤
Hello EXPLOMO ❤️
Zdravím. Kdyby jste to nezverejnil ti vaše videa na internetu které nam poskytujete a mi to vidíme. Tak by tomu zřejmě nikdy nikdo nevěřil. Ale ví uz leta ukazujete jedny z nejlepších urbexu videa. Cim dal drahe vili domi luxusní. Jste jeden z nejlepších. Opravdu říkám to vážné. Jste výjimeční. Prostě nej. Bylo jich opravdu mnoho ale vi jste zatím za ta leta co vás sledují nejlepší….At se vam i nadále daří. Škoda že tito majestati skončí plesnive a příroda si vezme co jí patří. A lidé neznají pravou hodnotu života. Neni to v majetku. Ale člověk k člověku. Ještě jednou diky za videa..🌼❤️🙏😇🌞👍👍👍🇨🇿

The children or whoever are probably just waiting on the estate settlement period. Here in the US I've heard it can take up to 6 yrs or longer to settle an estate especially if there is no will or final instructions on file in a legal office. It's just insane the legal process. imo
Hello maureno and remon. I back watching here i love this house really .
Thanks awesome house I enjoyed watching
This place looks like it could be saved with some repairs and general tlc. Looks like a beautiful place. Thanks for the tour 😊stay safe and be well.
12:46 I think it's likely somehow wandered away or the mom rat dropped it off because there was something wrong with it. Poor critter. 😢
Found this one 3 years ago. When i now see the cars … So bad and the motorcycle is gone
If this is in Limburg, then I think this was a home for seasonal workers in fruit harvesting. Hence only 1 shower and 3 toilets and multiple beds.
All of your intros are amazing, but I really liked this one! The shot of the cars through the broken window of the doorway, then withdrawing into the house was awesome!
It sure was a loved house with beautiful things, but whoever added the pipes should never do such work again! So haphazard and ugly!
Thank you for sharing your adventure with us!
Lástima de esos muebles 😂 que lindo muebles 🤭
Thank you. You always do a fantastic job. Stay safe and God bless .
Yes, the ceilings in these rooms are extremely unusual. I have seen such ceilings in old Belgian farms (built in the early 20th century) but restricted to animal stables. Never before have I seen such ceilings in old Belgian living rooms, kitchens, etc. Very strange.
This house could make a lovely home for someone and surrounded by grassland, the rats.mother will go back for it, glad youve got gloves on x
It’s a rat!! It can’t drink water because its eyes aren’t even open yet. And besides the world really doesn’t need more rats. And once you leave I’m sure the mother will come back.
Draga Maureno
