CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea – Charlene Darson is better known for keeping balls out of the Kubasaki net.
On Wednesday, though, the goalkeeper got her chance to score and help the Dragons regain the Far East Division I title.
She scored in the 15th minute of the first half, and senior striker Solares Solano added an insurance marker later in the half as Kubasaki, the most decorated D-I girls soccer program, won its ninth Far East title, blanking island rival Kadena 2-0 Wednesday at Blackhawks Field.
