This afternoon, Jodie Foster attended the Cannes Film Festival photocall for her new film A Private Life (Vie Privée), following its world premiere the night before.

Dressed in a Dior Pre-Fall 2025 dress that was originally presented in Kyoto, the design featured symbolic indigo dye borders and a print placement inspired by ikebana—the Japanese art of flower arranging.
Jodie’s never been one to go bold or overly theatrical on the red carpet, but this fringed dress with its painterly blue stripes running down the side proved to be a quietly striking choice. With the backdrop of the French Riviera, it couldn’t have been more fitting. This was incredibly well considered, with a fusion of craft and elegance with a touch of worldliness.
With this appearance, Jodie is now two for two at Cannes.
