Eligibility: Students, researchers and graduates of architecture, urban design, urban planning, interior architecture, landscape architecture and allied disciplines. Language of instruction: English.
Venice Studio is a series of short architecture and design programs for students and graduates led by leading architecture and urbanism firms. Often referred to as workshop, internship and festival rolled into one, the programs are held in multiple locations around the world and have to date included students and graduates from 40 countries and over 100 universities.
The multifaceted programs focus on the development of projects for the city in which they’re hosted. The projects, alongside field-work, cultural visits, talks, reviews and social gatherings around the city form the backbone of each program while being counterbalanced with free-time to explore and experience the new city and the wider country.
Briefs, programs, excursions and site selection are all coordinated exclusively by the architects to ensure a deep immersion in their firm’s ideas, research, approaches and values while participants also learn about the workflows, methodologies and communication styles utilised by each firm for the development of real-life projects inside the office. Programs are open to architecture and design students and graduates from around the world who, while living in the city and experiencing its daily rhythms, work closely with the architects from within buildings of high architectural value. During the application process, applicants are invited to select which firm they would like to work with at Venice Studio.
