3rd Nintendo store opened in Kyoto in 2023; 2nd Nintendo U.S. store recently opened in San Francisco on May 15

Nintendo announced on Monday that it will open an official store in Fukuoka at the end of the year. The store will be located at AMU Plaza Hakata City. More details will be announced at a later date.
This will be the fourth official Nintendo store in Japan.
The first official Nintendo store in Japan opened in November 2019 at Shibuya Parco in Tokyo. The second Nintendo store opened in November 2022 at Daimaru Umeda in Osaka. The third Nintendo store opened in October 2023 at Kyoto Takashiyama SC in Kyoto. The stores sell consoles, games, peripherals, and other related goods. The stores also hold events and game experiences.
Nintendo’s first official U.S. store, Nintendo NY is located in Rockefeller Center in New York City. Nintendo opened its second official U.S. store in San Francisco’s Union Square on May 15.
Super Nintendo World opened at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in February 2023. Attractions include Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Toadstool Cafe, 1-Up Factory, character meet and greets, and interactive features using special Power-Up Band wristbands. There is also a store with Nintendo-themed merchandise.
The Nintendo Museum opened in Kyoto on October 2.
Nintendo will release the new Switch 2 console worldwide on June 5.
