JAPAN VLOG EP 4 🌸 Exploring Kyoto, best spots to eat, places to save, dessert spots

Hello. Okay. Um, what do I [Music] think? [Music] Let’s see. Wow. [Music] [Music] We [Music] are crazy. [Music] Put it here. [Music] Oh, it’s so pretty here. [Music] It’s so soft. Wow. Cheers. Green tea. This is so out of this world good. [Music] I have so much footage of shrimp. [Music] [Music] Honey, what’s up kid? Did you get a gift? [Music] Oh my god, that’s so cool. It’s literally fried cream cheese. [Music] Another day, another convenience store run. This time I got home milk and pudding. Looks freaking bomb. It has like soule cake on the top, cream in the middle, pudding, and I think that’s brown sugar. Wow. Why is this pudding so good? [Music] [Applause] [Music] Wow. D. [Music] You take Alexando. Open fammy chicken. Cheers. M. Yay. Excited. This looks so good. Wow. These are pork shu. [Music] Hallelujah. [Music] So good. Right. Want to try some? [Music] It’s a liquid. It’s a liquid. Here, try it. M. That’s good. [Music] It’s actually our last full day here in Kyoto because tomorrow night we are heading back to Tokyo to catch our flight for the next morning. So, right now we are on our way to get jukatsu, which is actually one of our favorite meals that we had in Japan. So, we’re going to go for a second time. Hopefully, the line isn’t too long because this is a really popular location. [Music] Currently waiting in line. I don’t know how long the wait is cuz I can’t see the front. Excited. How long was the wait, honey? Like 15 minutes. We got in in 15 minutes because the restaurant itself is a lot bigger than I thought, unlike a lot of other places in Japan. A lot of seats. Mhm. Yay. We got lucky. It’s so good. We got the special Wagyu set. Oh, this looks so good. I want to put it in together. [Music] M honey, this is bomb. I’m going to put this on egg. [Music] sauce. Perfect bite. I’m going to miss this when we go back home. It’s good, right? With the egg. I really want to try that tenderloin. Me, too. You want to order tenderloin and share it? Tenderloin. Oo. Put two in there. Okay. [Music] Our postmeal convenience store run. [Music] We just checked out of our Kyoto hotel because we’re going back to Tokyo tonight. But we still have a good few hours here in Kyoto since our train leaves around 8:15. Before starting our day, we’re going to go put our name down for Hikiniku to K. Um, apparently you have to get a ticket at 9:00 a.m. for seating for lunch or dinner time. So, we’re going to go do that first. [Music] [Music] Okay, secured our time slot for 12:15 at the Hanok steak place. I’m so excited. Came into Lawson and they had what I was looking for. This is the pancake from convenience store. I wanted to try this. D. Cheers. Oh my god. Oh, there’s something in the middle. There’s syrup. Oh, it is good though. M. You know I love pancakes. Man, this reminds me of the McDonald’s one, honey. Like a little bit. How dare you? Oh, it’s so much better than McDonald’s. No. McDonald’s pancakes are so fire. What are you talking about? store right by the street called Ball and Chain. They have these cute tote bags. I love the straps here. Stopping by for some Raba coffee. I still want icing. That’s black ice. [Music] Honey, I love it. [Music] It’s your chance. [Music] No, I’m pretty [Music] good. [Music] Let’s try it. Oh, that’s pretty good. Really? [Music] Oh, that kuma looks good. Definitely worth visiting that park, especially during cherry blossom season. I feel like it would even be pretty in the fall, too. There were also a lot of food stands around the park area and by the shrine. And we were so tempted, but obviously we only got a light snack because now we are headed to our lunch reservation at Hikinoiku Tuk. And I’m so excited. So ready for some juicy hamburg steak. I feel like we’re in jail. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Wow, this looks so juicy. Cheers. [Music] Honey, this is unreal. [Music] No, I’m not even joking. It’s so good. Wow, it’s delicious. Honey, this hak steak is like Oh my gosh. This is a [Applause] must. So good. With the radish and the panu sauce. [Music] [Applause] [Music] time. One last time. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Oh my gosh. [Music] Studio Chippy store. Let’s go down. You don’t like Studio Trippy? [Applause] [Music] Honey. Honey, I’m done. [Music] [Music] seat. Cheers. The same as the states up. Mhm. [Music] [Applause] So, we couldn’t make it to the Arashyama bamboo forest, which is like one of the main bamboo forest that I feel like everyone goes to. It’s a little bit out of the way. Going to another forest that’s right by the Starbucks called the Kurdai. We’ll go check it out and see how it is. [Music] [Music] Yes, this is the road to the Kodai bamboo forest. [Music] Wow. [Music] [Music] Is [Music] [Music] that every time we travel to a new place, got to stop by McDonald’s and see what new stuff they have or different stuff they have. We got the strawberry dauku pie. Packaging is so cute with the cherry blossoms. Done. M. I like it. It has red bean paste and moji and strawberry jam. Tastes good. Oh, it tastes really good. Amazing. I really like it. I’m not even hungry. Me neither. I’ve never been hungry this whole trip. That is good. Oh yeah, there’s literally rows and rows of restaurants here. [Music] Yum, yum, yum, yum. Cheers. [Music] New setting. [Music]
