Repsol Honda HRC enjoyed a flawless weekend at Motegi, with Toni Bou claiming a double victory at the Japanese Grand Prix and Gabriel Marcelli securing second overall.

Despite sunny skies and high temperatures, the waterlogged terrain of Mobility Resort Motegi remained the greatest challenge in the third round of the 2025 TrialGP World Championship. Slippery and technical sections pushed riders to their limits, but the factory Honda team mastered the conditions.

Championship leader Toni Bou once again proved his supremacy. On Saturday, he kept calm and avoided the mistakes that caught out many of his rivals to win the opening race. On Sunday, with slightly cleaner zones, Bou delivered an even more composed ride, sealing a second win and also claiming the bonus Power Section point in Zone 10.

Gabriel Marcelli showed steady progression throughout the weekend. The Montesa Cota 4RT rider struggled with several costly penalties in the first race, but still salvaged third. On day two, he maintained a strong pace and battled Jaime Busto for second place right to the final section. With a narrow one-point margin, Marcelli secured the runner-up spot and a double podium finish.

Bou leaves Japan with an increased lead in the standings, while Marcelli strengthens his hold on third and closes in on Busto. The next round of the TrialGP World Championship takes place in Calvi, Corsica, from May 30th to June 1st.
