A week in Okinawa, Japan’s paradise vol.1 🇯🇵🌺 Solo travel VLOG 📸

I visited Okinawa, Japan’s southernmost prefecture, in early summer this year. I stayed for 8 days, and this video captures the first 4 days of my trip. Since I’m not used to driving, I mainly relied on public transport to get around. I hope this helps you plan a trip to Okinawa!

  1. I spent 6 months on Okinawa in 1978 in the village of Gesashi on the NE corner of the island. It was beautiful. I still have the slides and memories of such a beautiful place.

  2. Thanks for sharing this trip! I love Japan, ever since I was a kid I had the dream to get to know this country and watching this kind of videos feels like being there. No music, just the sound of life. Japan is very diversem, such a stunning country.

  3. can’t believe this is your first video! I watched chiikawa and get intrigued by shisa, found your vlog by chance 🙂 hope to see more of your videos!

  4. Beautiful clip, well filmed and edited. Although we lived for +10 years in Fukuoka we never made it to Okinawa, I regret it, maybe one day? We have friends who have moved to there and they like it very much. Got though familiar with some foods from Okinawa, goya chanpuru is excellent and I cook it back here in Romania when I find goya. I use pork belly, not canned ham or SPAM. Also impressed with the fermented tofu they do, have done it several times, start with red miso, stop with awamori or vodka, it takes about three weeks. It comes out like a fine French dessert cheese, amazing. Arigato!

  5. Its been 28 years since i last been there okinawa was my childhood on a military base 1996 2005 looking foward to go back

  6. I’ll be there in a week!!! Is it hard to handle rentals and ferrys and restaurants not knowing much Japanese?

  7. Amazing and really well filmed. You've inspired me to go back to Okinawa on my next trip to Japan. 🙏

  8. The only soda I will drink is root beer. I don't drink it often, but it's my favorite. When I'm in Okinawa, I'll try their A & W rootbeer and see if it really tastes like medicine. Perhaps they are making it wrong.

  9. Love it. I love the quiet Vlog with the clear description like this ❤I’m planning heading to Okinawa alone also. Your blog is helping

  10. The color of the sea around the Kerama Islands is amazing!!

I've been to Aharen Beach and Tokashiku Beach before, and they were so beautiful and amazing.

  11. So beautiful and relaxing. So many chill cats too! Aww you didn't like your first rootbeer hehe. They didn't have the rootbeer float one (it has a vanilla ice cream in it)? That one's yummy if you'll give it a chance next time. Stumble upon your channel, so new sub here.

  12. this video concept and shots and angles and explanations are just amazing. Thanks for such a informative and relaxing video.
