Cherry Blossom Viewing at Temmabashi, Osaka
Temmabashi is one of the most popular spots in Osaka for cherry blossom viewing (hanami). Located along the Okawa River, this area is especially famous for the stunning cherry blossoms that line the riverside near Kema Sakuranomiya Park and Osaka Castle.
During late March to early April, over 4,000 cherry trees bloom along the riverbanks, creating a breathtaking tunnel of pink and white flowers. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk under the blossoms, have a picnic in the park, or take a river cruise to enjoy the flowers from the water. At night, many trees are beautifully illuminated, offering a romantic and magical atmosphere.
Temmabashi is very accessible by train, with Temmabashi Station serving both the Keihan Line and Osaka Metro. It’s a great place to experience the beauty of Japanese spring in the heart of the city.
