Randy Johnson photo exhibit at DBacks Hall of Fame and History Museum

Former Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Randy Johnson talks about his photography exhibit, traveling to places like Japan, and his coffee table book.

The Oak Ridge Sister City Support Organization announces the selection of the middle school delegates and chaperones who will participate in the exchange with Naka shi, Japan. 

Those selected include: Jane Shanafield, Jefferson Middle School chaperone; students Kindred Patterson, Natalie Shanafield, and Amy Phillips, Robertsville Middle School chaperone; students Robert Burnham, Atalee Martin, Addison Phillips, Kat Canik, John Coleman, Vladimir Yarosh, and Aurelio Ilagan. 

The group will travel to Naka shi in June. They will stay with host families and participate in school activities, local tours and special programs with their Japanese hosts. The Oak Ridge group will welcome their Japanese partners to Oak Ridge in August. A group of Japanese Girl Scouts from Naka Troop 37 will also visit in August.

The Oak Ridge Sister City Support Organization is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the sister city partnership with Naka shi. The SCSO, Oak Ridge Schools and the city of Oak Ridge will host a community-wide event on Aug. 22. All past and present sister city members, exchange alumni, past and present host families and Naka travelers will be invited to attend the reception with officials from Oak Ridge and Naka shi.
