Exploring Fukuoka’s Frog Temple | Day Trip to Ogori | Japan 2025
Located about an hour from Hakata Station by train, Ogori isn’t a destination you will typically find on someone’s travel list.
However, this quiet city is home to (in my humble opinion) one of Fukuoka’s most underrated temples, Nyoirin-ji, otherwise known as ‘Frog Temple’. What it lacks in grandeur, the temple makes up for in cuteness and serenity.
You can even enjoy an “All-You-Can-Eat” strawberry buffet at Shiraki no Ichigo after you’re done exploring Nyoirin-ji.
