Is MT. FUJI, JAPAN worth it? 🇯🇵 Our First Time in Japan’s Most Famous Destination

[Music] Hello wanderers. In today’s adventure, we explore the towns near Mount Fuji, Japan. It’s really a perfect day for us. We’re loving every second of it. Mount Fuji, Japan. Arguably Japan’s most famous destination. This place is well known to both locals and foreigners alike, mainly because of its iconic beauty and spiritual importance to the Japanese people. power. Ah, okay. Okay. So, apparently this is like a power spot. So, it is no surprise that tourists from all over the world will flock Japan to get a view of this majestic yet elusive mountain. I am really happy though that we already got a clear view of Mount Fuji. I feel so lucky. You see, there is never a guarantee that one can see Mount Fuji. Many tourists end up being disappointed because after a long day of travel, they are met with cloudy skies or places being packed with tourists. So, some of these people actually cause traffic within the intersection because they post in the middle of the street. So, what are the best spots to go to to see the majestic Mount Fuji? There are really so many ways to enjoy a day in the Mount Fuji area. It looks like there’s treasure in these ponds. Come with us to explore Mount Fuji together and see if it is indeed a must add to your bucket list or is it just another tourist trap? We are Ads and Joys. Together with her baby, Milka, we travel the world one beautiful destination at a time in constant search for our next adventure. So, you guys are going to do it, huh? Yeah, of course. We need the power. What’s up, YouTube? So today we are in Japan’s most famous destination, Mount Fuji. What a lucky day for us. This is such an awesome day. It’s so clear. It’s so nice. It’s really awesome. I think I’m so ready to explore. So this is Lake Yamanaka, and this is only 15 minutes away from Doshi Village where we’re actually staying. You can see her entire outline here. It’s just such a good day. It’s so cold. Woo! Today we’re spending the day with Ed’s family. We’re here with his aunt and uncle and cousin. So, it’s going to be such a great day. We’re just going to have a chill day. It’s actually a week day today. So, it’s not a lot of people, but I don’t think this area gets super filled because this is a much more quiet side of Pound Fuji. I think we should walk around. E. Yeah, let’s do it. [Music] It’s so beautiful here. This mountain is really, really gorgeous. Look at that. I mean, you can see the whole shape and the whole edges of the things. If you can see, there’s a little hump right here, right? It’s so nice. It is just so nice to be able to slow down and take in views like this because how often do we get to do this, right? Especially if we’re coming from busy cities like Tokyo or Osaka or even Kyoto. This is such a welcome day for us. It’s so relaxing and the site is really, really something to behold. [Music] It’s really nice to be able to spend the day just strolling around town and getting to see what is really here aside from Mount [Music] Fuji. I feel like this is the best way to experience Mount Fuji to get like an Airbnb or a cabin to stay nearby and then just explore the town slowly. It’s so convenient. anyway because there’s a supermarket here. There’s like a sporting good um section where you can buy the stuff that you need to be able to enjoy your stay. Right now I’m near the supermarket and I have the best view of Mount Fuji. This is Oino Supermarket. Go through [Music] here at voila. Hello [Music] So, we’ve decided to have lunch here at this flower farm because you have a great view of Mount Fuji. It’s so clear. I’ll take you guys to the restaurant [Music] inside. So, you order your food through this vendo and enjoy it in this dining hall with a view as well. Those are the flowers of the month, [Music] April. We’re going to go outside to enjoy our lunch outdoors. I can just imagine this entire field being filled with flowers, water, Samadosa saun Koka. Hi baby. [Music] So Koka is their baby dog and she is in love with Ed. How she practices piano on her thigh. imagining the keys inside her mind. Does she notice? You’re so lucky that we can actually see the peak. That’s awesome. And if you look closely, love, you’d be able to see the trails. [Music] What do you think? That’s insane. So, we’ve made it to Osha Village. It’s another village around the area of Mount Fuji. There’s this area wherein they charge um 200 yen per person. It’s more like Japanese homes with gardens. We are just gonna look around to see what is here in the village because we were driving around a while ago. It’s just so beautiful. So this is it. Oshina village. Let’s walk around. Tour bus. Oo. Hey babe. So this is so awesome. It’s a small traditional village right in front of Fuji. Cute, right? So [Music] cute. This is such a great place to take an afternoon stroll. This river is so so calming. This village is so peaceful. It’s nice because even if it’s like a tourist spot, they still like to keep the privacy of the residents around here. So, of course, they block off some of the roads so that the tourists cannot enter where the residents actually live. That’s pretty good. That’s pretty good. And it’s so nice and quiet. I just love it. [Music] It looks like there’s treasure in these ponds. I think we’ve made it to the more touristy part of the village where we can buy snacks. And they have the What is it that they have here, babe? Like fresh water. It’s fresh water coming from Mount Fuji. You can actually drink it right off the bat. Like straight from the stream. Yeah, straight from the stream. Want to try that one? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I mean, other people are doing it, so I think you could. They say the water should taste a lot lot better. Wow. It’s a mineral water. Spring water. I’m not very sure, but we’ll see. All the stalls are here. Very traditional Japanese style. Yeah. Snacks. Oh, food hall. What is it? Love chicken. Oh, hello. [Music] What is this? Dumpling. Dumpling rice cakes. One try. Let me try dango. Okay. Let me have two things. Two red bean paste. Red bean cake. You have other flavors? Yeah. One, wait, heat it up. Yes. Yeah. Two red. Okay. 1,000. 1,000. Yeah. Thank you. That looks really good. It looks really good. I’m kind of excited now. And this one you spin. Sorry. Sorry. I’m playing. Thank you. That’s pretty cool. That’s really cool. I was Hey, let’s try it. Good. Okay. M. Is it hot? No. Also, the red bean is on top. Wow. It’s a mouthful. May I try it? Mhm. Okay. So, this is a chewy rice cake that’s on a skewer. It’s charred, so it’s like a little bit toasty, which makes it so delicious. The red bean is not inside, but on top. So good. Super flavorful. And it’s nice and chewy. So, it’s like a perfect snack for, you know, while you’re exploring the little town. Really good. The red bean is actually like mashed, not like super grinded, so you can actually taste all the little chunks of red bean. That’s kind of cool. Yeah. That looks good, babe. Last bite. Yum. Yummy. You wouldn’t know it just by looking, but the ponds are actually 8 m deep. They’re so clear. That’s why they look so shallow. But the one in there, 8 m. Can you believe it? Mount Fuji against the traditional houses is really a spectacle. It’s very beautiful. I am really happy though that we already got a clear view of Mount Fuji. I feel so [Music] lucky. So this is I think is the like the souvenir shop. So here you can get gifts as souvenirs that are made in Yamash. What are these? Yokang yokang yokasang fraor. [Music] If you look at the water here, it’s so clear. Can you believe that? It’s like 8 m deep. It looks so shallow, but it’s so deep inside. And it looks so magical because there are sparkling coins at the bottom, but you cannot throw one in there. [Music] So powerful. Ah, okay. Okay. Okay. Yes. Apparently, this is like a power spot. Okay. Here in Japan. So, what you can do is get the water one by each hand, rinse, and then the other hand, and then you rinse, and then you also rinse your mouth. M. And then feel refreshed. All right. All right. So you guys are going to do it, huh? Yeah, of course. We need the power. [Music] Oh, wow. Okay. You did it. Did it. I feel so powered up now. [Music] Take the water first. So, I’m going to try to drink the water coming from the spring up there. So, this is for drinking. The water is so cold. You want to try it? You go first. [Music] That’s pretty good. Taste like mineral water. That’s perfect cuz I’m actually quite thirsty from all the walking. Okay. You want to try it? Okay. Set up the water. Try it. I’m scared. It’s It’s water. Go. Cheers. Refreshing. Water. Water. Yeah. Yeah. It’s smooth, right? And it also feels like there’s a lot of minerals in it. Like there’s a distinct taste for like the minerals. You can actually taste it. Good. Perfect. Chris first. I think it’s for like the neck. [Music] Cool. Right. [Music] Finally, your crea. This is it, love. Okay. Yeah. What is this? The infamous cremea. I want to try it now. Yeah. [Music] Wow. Wow. Piss is bigger. I I want this one. You have to try this. It’s really good. Yummy. So, this is like langua deato. Yeah, it is. The wafer. The ice cream’s really good. Very creamy. The elusive crema. Sure. No more. You got it here. Do you want to build a snowman? You look like such a child. You’re holding ice cream. Oh my gosh, babe. What a nice place this is. And what a beautiful day it has been. All done. So yummy. Good. And I have water. This little town is called Fuji. Oh, yeah. It’s really nice and beautiful. [Music] There are really so many ways to enjoy a day in the Mount Fuji area. Right now, what we’re doing is we are looking for the infamous Mount Fuji shot, like the spot where everybody takes their picture of Mount Fuji. And honestly, I think I think we found it. So, we were driving along and we just passed this group of people in the street and then we realized Mount Fuji was behind us. So, we decided that it was a good idea for us to just step down and then just join in the fun. [Music] So, some of these people actually cause traffic within the intersection because they post in the middle of the street and then the cars just have to go. Something you’re not supposed to do, but I bet you I bet you someone will do it. [Music] This is quite similar to the Shibuya crossing. Everyone’s just like walking, walking, walking, and then another train back and then another the time across just like the Shibuya crossing. Did you get it? Of course, I got it. It’s actually kind of cool that there’s like a city or like a town that like a real working town in front of Fuji. It’s so nice. We’ve made it to the infamous Mount Fuji spot. That’s actually quite nice. Love mandatory tourist shot. [Music] Yeah. So this behind me is Lake Kawaguchi and in this side of town we get a different view of Mount Fuji. Normally this view is the one that they use in the movies. So there’s just a lot of sides to Mount. [Music] What do you think about the other side of Mount Fuji? I love all the sides of Mount Fuji. They’re all so awesome. But it’s so interesting that every face of the mountain is like a little different than the other. That’s really cool. Mount Fuji has so much character. [Music] The towns near Mount Fuji are honestly such a vibe. There’s so much shopping and dining and many different choices of things that to do around here. You like I think it’s kind of small, though. Nice. Oh, I like it. I like it, too. Doesn’t it fit the You’re going to get it? Yeah, I’m going to get this one. It’s really cool to spend like 24 hours around this area. Made the best decision um spending a couple of nights here instead of just doing a day trip or something. So, it’s really perfect. So, Hammer Sushi is actually one of the most well-known conveyor belt sushi restaurants here in Japan. After a full day of exploring Mount Fuji in the little different towns that we can see her, we have found ourselves here in Doniote in Kawaguchiko. I guess it just goes to show that visiting Mount Fuji can be as touristy as you want it to be or as peaceful and serene as you want it to be. There’s a bigger one. It’s going to be a night for you guys. It’s going to be a good night. What is that again? Tequila for tonight. Oh god, it’s decided. I guess we’ll end the vlog here. We’ll see you guys on the next one. Stay wonderful. No matter where we are,
