3 Missions in One Ride – Motovlog from Japan

Today’s Mission Hello, everyone. Starting today, I’m trying something new called Today’s Mission. It’s a simple challenge format to make the vlog more fun. I’ll set three goals for the day, and if I can’t complete them… there’s a penalty. So here’s today’s mission: 1. Watch a Conan movie. 2. Eat a crepe. 3. Go on a sunset ride. And the penalty if I fail… is taking the Hokkaido Tourism Master Exam. Let’s get started— and wish me luck! Alright, today’s ride has a mission. Watch a Conan movie, eat a crepe, and catch the sunset. But there’s a problem… The movie starts at four-oh-five.
(Will I make it?) In Japan, Conan movies are crazy popular. Kids, adults—even grandparents go see them. So I figured… why not ride there and make day of it? I’m also planning to stop by a famous crepe shop in Hakodate. But if I waste too much time… I won’t make it to the movie. And if I miss the movie, I’ll miss the sunset ride too. Let’s see how this mission goes. The weather’s perfect today. Not too hot, not too cold. Just the kind of day you want to be on two wheels. I don’t ride fast. I’m just enjoying the scenery. And trying not to miss my movie. …or the crepe. This road through Hakodate is so relaxing. It feels like time slows down a little. But the clock… keeps ticking. I’ve got less than an hour to get there. Should be fine— unless something unexpected happens. Actually, I’m on a diet right now, so I haven’t had sweets in a while. Eating a crepe feels a little guilty, but I’ve hit a plateau recently, So today’s my cheat day. I’m going to enjoy that crepe with zero regrets. I wonder how well-known Detective Conan is overseas. Dragon Ball and Death Note are pretty popular around the world, but I haven’t really heard much about Conan being big outside Japan. But here in Japan, it’s huge. Every year, a new movie comes out in April. For me, that’s when I really feel how fast a year goes by. In Japan, April means spring—cherry blossoms, new school terms, and… a new Conan movie. It’s kind of a tradition at this point. You see the posters everywhere, and everyone’s talking about it. For many people, it’s part of the season, like a yearly ritual that says, “Yep, spring is really here.” Sorry if you’re not familiar with it, but I want to talk about it just a bit more. My favorite Conan movie is The Phantom of Baker Street. It’s set in London, a hundred years ago— and even Jack the Ripper appears. I love stories that mix real history with fiction. There’s something exciting about that kind of world. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it. And if you have a different favorite Conan movie, let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear it. I’m almost there. I guess anywhere’s fine. Alright, let’s park here! It’s free and still so close to the tourist spots. I really appreciate places like this. Let’s start with the first mission, eating a crepe. I’ve come to Machikado Crepe, a place known for their unique and creative style. It’s 3:13 PM on Wednesday, but it’s already… sold out ! So I had to change plans. Luckily I found another crepe shop nearby. I finally got to buy this crepe. Strawberry Chocolate Special Yeah, let’s dig in! But this one’s really hard to eat. Okay, wow. Strawberries, and cream and… mmm. So good. There’s ice cream inside! But I don’t know if I can… make it to the movies. Mmm. It’s delicious. I’ve just arrived at the movie theater. It’s now 4:02 PM, and the movie starts at 4:05— So I just barely made it! Yeah. I bought my movie ticket. I’ve finished the movie. Yeah, let’s go! Wow, the Conan movie was awesome! I won’t talk about the details, no spoilers, but watching Conan in a theater really is the best. Anyway, the only mission left is the sunrise ride. It’s just about sunset now, so let’s ride to a spot where we can see it. You can see the sun right in front of me. The sun is really bright. The sunset is so beautiful! That’s all three missions complete! At first, when the crepe shop was closed, I thought I’d failed to ride from the start, but somehow, I managed to complete them all. It’s been a great day. All missions complete. And now, just a peaceful ride back. If you enjoyed this video, feel free to like, comment, or subscribe. I’d really appreciate it. And I hope to see you again on the next ride. See ya!
