A tour to enjoy 32 gourmet foods in Hakodate, an exotic port town in Hokkaido, Japan(Part1)
This time I came to Hakodate City, located in the south of Hokkaido. Hakodate, facing the Tsugaru Strait, has long prospered as a port town with a rich international flavor. This time, I would like to spend a day in Hakodate enjoying the local gourmet food. It’s just before 12pm, and I’m working at a hotel. I’m relieved that it will be finished by the time I check out. I will try my best while soaking in the afterglow of Aomori gourmet food. Good evening again! I’m currently at a hotel in Aomori. After going to the bathroom and coming back, I headed to my new destination. Now, check out the hotel. I had booked a taxi to pick me up at the hotel at 1 o’clock. It was pitch dark around there. Of course lol. I’ll start moving now and arrive tomorrow morning. I also want to enjoy local gourmet food in my new town. Oh, that’s… I saw it. It’s noticeable even from a distance. This time’s destination is Hakodate in Hokkaido, located beyond the Tsugaru Strait! Take a ferry from Aomori Prefecture and cross the ocean. First, go through the boarding procedures at the reception desk. Enter your name and address on the boarding list. This is work unique to ships. As you might have guessed from the time we departed, we were taking an overnight ferry. Boarding time is 2:00-5:50. Two companies operate ferries between Aomori and Hakodate, but this time we will use the Seikan Ferry. “Seikan Ferry” is a little cheaper at 2,200 yen (the other company, “Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry” is 3,250 yen). I decided to go here this time because the operating hours were right. Well, the time has come, so let’s get on board! Walk through the large parking lot and walk to the ferry terminal. There are big ships on the left and right. On the left is the Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry. It looks impressive when you get close. The power of the track combined with the sound is overwhelming. In the far reaches of Honshu, I realize that society is still in motion, even when I would normally be sleeping. Show your ticket, see off one truck, and board the ship. This is my first time using the Seikan Ferry since December 2019, when I headed to Wakkanai, the northernmost point in Japan. After all, when I see a big ship, I get excited even if I’m sleepy. I remember that before, this area was also filled with trucks and I had to weave through them to get to the stairs. Mix with the cars and go up the side stairs to the guest room. This is what it looks like inside. There is a carpeted area on board where you can lie down. I’m using this pillow. Being able to charge my smartphone is helpful. Guest rooms are divided into 2nd and 3rd floors. There are vending machines and showers, so you can spend your time without any inconvenience. While sailing, you can check your current location on the map. You probably won’t see anything, but let’s go outside anyway. Oh, a truck comes out of the ferry. Have you just arrived? Go around the ship and go to your cabin. Okay, let’s go to bed now. Last time I was the only passenger and had chartered a large boat, but today there were quite a few passengers. Well then, good night. good morning. As expected, I’m a little sleepy… Hakodate is almost here. Hmm…that’s nice. It was a morning full of travel spirit. I could see land behind me, and it seemed like I was completely inside the bay. I also went up to the 3rd floor. Being close to land makes it easier to feel the speed of the ship. You can clearly see Hakodate ahead. That is Mt. Hakodate, which is famous as one of Japan’s top three night views. Okay, let’s have breakfast before we arrive. I’ll have the apple juice and apple pie I bought in Aomori yesterday. I bought apple juice at a convenience store yesterday. Aomori is famous for its apples. It has just the right amount of acidity and is refreshing to drink. Perfect for the morning. This is “Apfelstrudel” from a Viennese confectionery shop called “Strauss”. You could say it’s the Viennese version of apple pie. Yes, it’s delicious♪ The dough is moist and has a gentle taste. It has plenty of fruit pulp and is satisfying to eat. It also contains walnuts and raisins. It was a delicious meal with apple juice. Now let’s disembark. By the way, this time I chose a boat as the means of crossing to Hokkaido. The reason is that I thought the viewers would enjoy it. There are planes and Shinkansen options, but ferries are cheaper. It costs about 8,000 yen to ride the Shinkansen from Aomori to Hakodate. If you take the ferry, you can take a taxi to the port for about 5,000 yen if you use the discount. Also, if you take the overnight ferry, you won’t have to pay for accommodation. The Shinkansen is overwhelmingly shorter in travel time. However, the appeal of the ferry is that it’s fun. I think I’ll use the money I save for a luxurious seafood bowl♪ Anyway, we arrived in Hakodate! As it was early in the morning, the area in front of the station was deserted. When I get on the ferry, I feel like I’ve come a long way. It’s still early in the morning, but I’d like to leave my luggage at the hotel where I’ll be staying tonight. After that, I was allowed to stay in the lobby for a while and adjust my time while working. Now, let’s go out to the city of Hakodate♪ First I headed to Hakodate Morning Market Donburi Yokocho. It’s right near the station. Hakodate is famous for its morning market, so I was looking forward to it. I also found the store I went to last time. At that time, I had a bowl of squid that moved when I poured soy sauce on it. This time I wanted to go to this store inside a building. I came to a store called “Cham”. This is my favorite shop in the morning market and I come here often. Colorful seafood is lined up on the signboard in front of the store. It’s gorgeous. What caught my attention was this menu. Three-color rice bowl with real tuna, salted sea urchin, and salmon roe (2,600 yen). It has everything I like, so I ordered it without hesitation. When I entered the store and waited for a while… It’s here♪ There’s a lot to choose from. All three colored bowls have high contrast and deep colors. When I look at it closely, I start to wonder if it’s actually food lol. The small bowl is even more eye-catching than the main dish. More than 10 types of plates are lined up. Miso soup is delicious. I feel relieved in the morning. Now, let’s start with the tuna fatty tuna that I wanted to eat the most. It’s a beautiful pink color. Ah, it’s delicious… the fat slowly melts in your mouth. The tuna was just as delicious as I had imagined. Next is red meat. This is also rich and delicious. Yesterday I went to Aomori, and today I went to Hakodate. It’s a luxury to be able to eat fish from the Tsugaru Strait in both places. I’ll also have sea urchin. It tastes better than I expected…it’s sweet. The smooth sea urchin melts in your mouth. Also salmon roe. It’s bubble wrap and rich. This is an amazing rice bowl that feels luxurious no matter where you eat it. We will also have a small bowl. This is boiled squid. I think people who like alcohol will be happy. There are also seaweed and pumpkins. A small bowl that goes well with rice. I feel sorry for the people watching that there is no beer here lol. By the way, I ate the rice bowl this time, but if you request fish, they will be happy to arrange it for you. Last time, when I told them I wanted to eat fatty tuna and squid, they made me a sashimi set meal. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast together with tourists and market workers after work. Now, let’s go to just one more place. The next place I came to was the nearby Ekini Market. There is a lively place within the market. A large number of squid were swimming in a large aquarium. This is the “Live Squid Fishing Square”. You can catch squid and eat it on the spot. Hakodate is famous for squid, so I’m going to try it. Hook a swimming squid with a rod with a hook attached. Oh…I wonder if I can catch squid…? Ah! Failure. Okay, let’s change the target. Oh, I might be able to do it! Ah, it stuck to the wall. Yay♪ I caught it. There are some squids that spit water here, so be careful. The squid you catch will be processed on the spot. You’re very skillful. It feels good to look at it♪ The squid is beautifully filleted and served on a plate. It’s so transparent and beautiful. The flesh is transparent. Let’s eat. First, a bite. Yes, it tastes great! It’s full of sweetness and has a great elastic texture. It’s fresh since it was alive a while ago. The price of squid changes depending on the day. Today it was 900 yen. The squid guts are rich and odorless. It’s an addictive taste. The suckers stick to the plate and are difficult to remove lol. Not only are ferries cheap, but they are also convenient because they allow you to travel early in the morning. Squid fishing is fun and I recommend it if you are traveling. It was delicious〜Thank you for the meal! It was such a luxurious breakfast that it would be difficult to find anything better♪ The nearby “Uni Murakami” is also delicious. It’s expensive, but you can eat the best sea urchin dishes♪ We also do this from the morning, so if you’re interested, please give it a try. After that, I went about my morning work feeling full and a little sleepy. Well, after work, I went to Hakodate for lunch for the first time in a while. I’m looking forward to it because there are so many delicious things. Take the streetcar and go a little further away from Hakodate Station. The city tram is centered around Hakodate Station. Towards Goryokaku and Yunokawa on the east side. Routes extend to the south towards Motomachi/Mt. Hakodate and the Bay Area. On the first day, I plan to focus on the south side. I got on the train from Hakodate Station and got off at Horaicho. From there, walk a little further and head to the first store. The one who came was “Koike”. This is a long-established curry restaurant that is loved by locals. The spacious interior has a calm atmosphere. I order the traditional curry (800 yen) that has been around since 1948. Fukujinzuke and ginger were brought first. I’ve been waiting♪ This will get me excited. The smell of spices will get my appetite going. I hesitated and put them all in at once lol. Let’s eat. Yes, it’s delicious♪ It has a very spicy taste. You can really taste the spices and it makes you sweat. It has a slightly bitter taste, and it feels different from the mild curry that I usually eat. By the way, there is also a shop called “Original Indian Curry Koike” next to this shop. This store was built by the founder, Yoshijiro Koike, who has passed away. And this is his grandson’s shop. I’ve been to the original shop before, so I came here this time. Mr. Koike opened his own curry shop in 1948 because there were no curry restaurants in the area. You may be surprised at how different the curry is from what you usually eat. However, when you come to Hakodate, I think it would be a good idea to try the traditional curry that has taken root in the local area. Ah, it was delicious…Thank you for the meal! Now, let’s walk a little bit to the next store. This area is at the foot of Mt. Hakodate, which I saw this morning, and is an area with many slopes. The roads and buildings are Western-style, giving it a unique atmosphere. Next, I came to this store. “Raymon House Motomachi Store” This store also has a striking exterior. This shop was founded by sausage master Carl Weidl-Raymon. You can eat delicious sausages and ham. The menu includes sausages, hot dogs, and hamburgers. I ordered the grilled sausage platter (1080 yen). Eat in the eat-in space inside the store. This looks delicious♪ There are three types of sausages in total. For the drink, I chose “Guarana”, a famous carbonated drink from Hokkaido (151 yen). Carbonated drinks go well with sausages. Well then, cheers! Let’s eat. Yeah, it’s delicious ♪ It’s been a while since I drank it. First of all, there is a sausage called “Thuringer”. This smells very nice. You can really feel the flavor of the meat. It has a hint of spice and a herb-like aroma. A sausage that tastes like it’s eating meat. I think it’s hard to eat this sausage. Next is “Arabiki Long”, which has two. This is also juicy♪ It’s delicious. It also has a nice chewy texture. I think this is close to the sausages I’m used to eating. Sauerkraut leaves your mouth feeling refreshed. “Lemon & Parsley Long” too. They’re all different colors. Refreshing lemon flavor. It has a fresh taste unlike any other. Personally, my favorite was the sausage I ate first. It seems that local people also choose it as a gift. The sausages you can take home are also perfect as souvenirs. I ate it all at once with “guarana”. Thank you for the meal! It was a very satisfying sausage. Now, before I leave the store, I’ll take a short detour. The second floor of this store is a free exhibition hall introducing the history of Carl Weidl-Raymon. He was originally from the Austro-Hungarian Empire and learned the art of meat processing. He visited Japan as a tourist in 1919 and fell in love with it, so he continued to live there. After that, they made ham and sausage, which were not familiar in Japan at the time. It is said that he also trained many disciples. However, Japan was in the middle of a war at that time. He seems to have had many hardships as a foreigner, such as having his factory requisitioned. However, he married a Japanese wife and continued to live in Hakodate. In addition, he proposed to the Hokkaido Prefectural Government a concept for a food self-sufficiency system considering the future of food in Hokkaido. He is said to have contributed to the development of Hokkaido’s food culture, going beyond the scope of a meister. He has received numerous awards from both countries for his achievements in the development of Hokkaido and for serving as a bridge between Japan and Germany. Furthermore, he is said to have been the first to propose the design of the EU flag. In 2004, he was awarded by the Czech government for his contributions to European integration. The more you see him, the more amazing he is, and it’s only natural that he should receive such a prestigious award. I think it would be fun to stop by to learn about some of Hokkaido’s food history. Now let’s go to the next store. To the right of the shop is Carl Weidl-Raymon’s former home. Climb up the hill and aim a little higher. The cobblestones around here are beautiful and have a foreign atmosphere. A little further up is the Hakodate Ropeway. I came up the hill to this store. “Marutama Koya” stands on a hill. You can look down on the city of Hakodate from the gap between the buildings. At this restaurant, you can eat piroshki and borscht. I was curious about it when I saw it on TV. There are so many types of piroshki that it can be hard to decide which one to eat. This time I would like to try sweet piroshki. I chose the soup set that comes with borscht (800 yen). I also like the atmosphere inside the store. They also sold sweets that you can take out. It seems that they renovated an 80-year-old private house. I’ve been waiting♪ Borscht is bright red. This color comes from the beets, and the amount seems to be just right. So let’s eat right away. Ah, it’s delicious…warm and soothing. The soup is much lighter than it looks. All the ingredients inside are bright red. The gentle flavor of vegetables permeates through. It also contains meat and is very satisfying to eat. This is a very easy to drink soup. I’ll also have piroshki. I ordered the salted butter apple. It’s delicious♪ It’s chewy. Because piroshki is baked rather than fried, it is light and not greasy. The piroshki served at this restaurant is called “Hakodateyaki piroshki.” It seems that you can eat it at several restaurants in Hakodate city. There are plenty of apples inside, giving it a sweet and fresh taste. It’s also delicious to alternate between sweet piroshki and borscht. Melting white sour cream will give it a sour taste and change the taste. Anyway, I’m curious about the other ingredients in this piroshki. I would like to try a different menu next time. After leaving the store, I decided to head down the hill. During our trip, we enjoyed delicious food at the highest restaurant. Thank you for the meal. It’s also close to the ropeway station, so it might be a good idea to stop by after sightseeing around Mt. Hakodate. Anyway, the scenery around here is so beautiful that you might think it’s a movie set. However, although the cityscape has a sense of unity, the buildings are a mixture of various countries and sects. The main point of interest is the churches. For example, this is Motomachi Catholic Church. This is St. John’s Church. Furthermore, there are many churches of various denominations, such as the “Historical Orthodox Church”. Also, there is Higashi Honganji, a branch temple of Hakodate, over there. It is an area that can be described as a fusion of Japanese and Western style. This is Hachimanzaka, which is also used as a location for TV dramas and commercials. This is a cobblestone slope that symbolizes this area. Below you can see Hakodate Port and the ship Mashu Maru, which is used as the Seikan Ferry Memorial Museum. Furthermore, we took a detour to the Funadama Shrine near Hachimanzaka. Built in 1135, it is the oldest shrine in Hokkaido. As befits the port town of Hakodate, the shrine is dedicated to the god of the sea, who prays for safety on the sea and on voyages. For this reason, it seems that they also perform exorcisms on ships. The scale is huge. Furthermore, the legend of Minamoto no Yoshitsune remains at this shrine. It is said that in 1190, the ship Minamoto no Yoshitsune was on was about to sink due to heavy storms, but thanks to the blessings of Funadama Myojin, he was able to land safely in Hakodate. On the way back, you can see the harbor from a high vantage point. The building with this distinctive pillar is the former Hokkaido Government Hakodate Branch Office Building. It was built in 1909 and is designated as a Hokkaido tangible cultural property. This is the “Hakodate Four Heavenly Kings” statue next to the former Hokkaido Government Hakodate Branch Office Building. Four businessmen who invested their personal funds and worked hard to develop Hakodate during the Meiji period are lined up. There was also a statue of Commodore Perry, which is famous in Hakodate. Now, after visiting Funadama Shrine and the Hokkaido Government Office, let’s go to the next shop. We arrived at the former British Consulate. The store is located in a historic former consulate building. This is the tea room “Victorian Rose”. The seats we were shown to were very luxurious. The spacious space and furnishings create a perfect mood. After looking around the store for a while, I looked at the menu. The menu I’m looking for is this, which is a culture that originated in England. I ordered the afternoon tea set (1500 yen). For tea, I chose Earl Gray tea. Earl Gray tea was brought first. Wait until all this sand falls. The British Consulate was established in 1859, when Japan lifted its national isolation and Hakodate opened its port. However, the consulate at that time was destroyed by fire, and this building was built in 1913 with a design by the British government. The building was later used as a consulate until it was closed in 1934. In 1979, it was designated a tangible cultural property of Hakodate City, and in 1992, it was opened to the public as the Port Opening Memorial Hall. In March 2009, the exhibition contents were renewed to mark the 150th anniversary of the port’s opening, and Victorian Rose and other facilities were opened. This is the first time I’ve used this. Is this okay…? Okay, you did it well♪ And then came the much-awaited snack. This is amazing♪ It’s quite luxurious. There are lots of scones, sandwiches, cakes, etc. This can no longer be called a snack lol. This sight is quite extraordinary. The tea is of course delicious. I’ll start with scones. It’s just the right amount of sweetness and steamy♪ It’s delicious. But my mouth gets very dry, so I have to drink tea. The sandwiches are also delicious. I ate them one after another without worrying about the pace. There are cakes and cookies too, so I think I’ll be full just from this. It’s so relaxing… This looks just like a scene from an elegant holiday lol. By the way, do any locals frequent this place? I can’t imagine it much, but you can order tea for around 500 yen, and it’s perfect for everyday use. After all, it is the building of the former British Consulate. I think it’s the best place in Japan to have afternoon tea. The breeze blowing through is cool and pleasant♪ I thoroughly enjoyed my first afternoon tea. I’m glad the weather was nice. Thank you for the meal. By the way, due to time constraints, I only went to the tea room this time. However, there are other things to see as well, such as the exhibition room inside the consulate and the Port Opening Museum. So I think it would be fun to go on a trip. Next, we will walk along the coast to the Bay Area. This area is like a bay, and you can see the city of Hakodate on the other side. Now, let’s eat Hakodate’s famous gourmet food♪ I was looking forward to eating here when I came to Hakodate. “California Baby” has arrived. We will be serving “Cisco Rice,” which has been a specialty since the store opened in 1976. The interior of the shop is open and has an American taste. This building was used as a post office in the Taisho period before the war. I ordered the Cisco rice I wanted. Many celebrities also seem to eat it. The iced coffee arrived first. It was 1130 yen as a set with Cisco rice. It’s full of volume and looks delicious. Let’s eat right away. Yes, it’s delicious! There is plenty of meat sauce on top of the rice. This is my first time trying the combination of rice and meat sauce, but it has a sweet and addictive taste. And in the middle there are two sausages. It’s juicy and filling. It makes me want rice more and more. Although the store name says “California,” Cisco rice is not a local dish. It seems that the owner adapted the meal he had in San Francisco. This is the flavor you want to eat when you come to Hakodate. We were able to enjoy soul food that originated in Hakodate. It was very filling and I was almost full. So, I took a short walk and looked at some souvenirs. Finally, I’m going to have dessert. I came to Milkissimo Hakodate Main Store, a gelato shop from Hakodate. The concept of the shop is “Real gelato found at 41 degrees north latitude.” Hakodate is connected to Rome, the capital of Italy, famous for its gelato, at the same latitude as 41 degrees north. I stopped by this shop because I thought it was a perfect place to visit Hakodate. This time I luxuriously ordered a triple (620 yen). Everything looked delicious and I was confused. I’ve been waiting ♪ It’s a visual that gets you excited. I chose milk, haskap, and melon. Ah! This haskap is delicious. The balance between the sourness of the haskap and the sweetness typical of gelato is exquisite. Next up is Milkissimo Milk, which uses milk from Hakodate. This one has a strong milky flavor. Even so, who came up with this way of arranging the food, which looks delicious despite its mishapen shape? Gelato is easy to eat even on hot days. The name “milkissimo” comes from adding “issimo”, which means the highest grade in Italian, to milk. A collaboration between Hokkaido ingredients, including Hakodate milk, and Italian gelato. This is the ultimate combination. This is recommended if you want to eat sweets in Hakodate. I was very satisfied with my purpose of eating sweets in Hokkaido! Thank you for the meal! Even so, Hakodate is a city with a rich international flavor. Today I mainly visited restaurants that serve international cuisine. The cuisines I ate were from India, Germany, Russia, England, America, and Italy. It might be a little different in America lol. It is said that Japan is good at arranging food, and there are many gourmet dishes that were born in Japan. Hakodate is a city that accepted foreign culture before other regions after the end of the isolationist period that lasted for about 200 years. I think that every restaurant was very Hakodate-like and very Japanese, where you could enjoy the city to the fullest. Recommended when you go to Hakodate. Well, I’m back at the inn. I’m thinking of having a few more snacks while I work. There is a store that I stopped by before returning to the hotel. We stopped by Asari, a famous and long-established sukiyaki restaurant in Hakodate. I couldn’t eat sukiyaki because it was full, but I took out the famous croquette. Furthermore, there is another one near Asari. I forgot to take a picture of the exterior, but I stopped by a long-established Japanese confectionery shop called Senshuan Sohonke. I bought some sweets and headed back to the hotel. Now, let’s have it together with “Soft Katsugen”, a famous lactic acid bacteria drink from Hokkaido. Yes, it’s delicious♪ There are plenty of ingredients. You can also feel the flavor of the meat that comes with the potatoes. It’s so satisfying that you can’t believe it’s only 85 yen each. It’s sometimes sold out in the morning, so if you’re interested, we recommend getting there early. Next up is Senshuan Sohonke’s sweets. First up is the Hakodate Stroll (120 yen), which was created to coincide with the opening of the Hokkaido Shinkansen. Both sides feature the Red Brick Warehouse and the character “hako”. There is milk filling inside. Koshian’s “Hakodate Walk” is also available. Delicious with a gentle sweetness. It’s a fluffy and light bun made of castella dough. I also have dorayaki (220 yen). This is also an elegant sweetness. By the way, Senshuan Sohonke is also connected to the opening of the port of Hakodate. The company was founded in 1860 by the first “Sasaki Yoshibei”, a samurai of the Akita domain in Honshu. He crossed the Tsugaru Strait to sell Japanese sweets in Hakodate, where the port had opened and new culture was coming in. After that, it spread to other areas of Hokkaido, such as Sapporo and Obihiro. I finished the meal leisurely, feeling the 160 years of history. Now, a night in Hakodate. First, I entered a shop called “Uo Isshin”. I look forward to eating delicious fish♪ I was guided to the counter inside the lively store. First, let’s check out the alcohol… First of all, I ordered a beer (660 yen). At the end of the day, I want this. Now, let’s eat. It’s so delicious… Now that I’m calm, I’ll order some food. Today’s recommended dish also looks delicious… But first, I ordered the sashimi platter (1,600 yen). This is gorgeous♪ Clockwise from top left: shrimp, mackerel, amberjack, tuna, sea bream, salmon, and squid. Everything looks delicious. The table has become gorgeous in an instant. Let’s eat tuna first. It’s rich and delicious. Tastes as expected. This is what I wanted to eat… The amberjack was also crunchy and delicious♪ Eating this makes beer taste even better. Salmon also has a good taste. I finished eating the other sashimi in no time. Let’s take a look at other menu items. I wanted to eat fried food, so I ordered the crab cream croquette (350 yen). Ah, this is… I restarted here with the sausage I ate for lunch. Crab cream croquette has arrived♪ This is definitely delicious… Yes, it was as expected. The freshly fried croquettes are crispy. Of course, the cream is rich. I don’t often have a chance to eat this. Beer goes well with fried food. Next time I’ll have some grilled fish… Ordered butter-grilled salmon harasu (850 yen). The visuals are great. Ah, it’s delicious… The salmon’s fat is the best ♪ The butter flavor is also good. The salmon skin also oozes with fat. After I was satisfied with the variety, I ordered the last dish. I feel like eating rice today, but I also have Ishikari hotpot. I ordered rice balls and miso soup at the end. Ah, that’s so refreshing… Contains plenty of clam soup♪ As I was drinking slowly, I started to feel a little sleepy. Onigiri has a heavy feel. The rice is delicious. The filling for the onigiri is cod roe. It has a nice crunchy texture. Enjoy plenty of local gourmet food from the first day. I finished my meal in a relaxed manner among the locals. Well, let’s go to one last place. When I come to Hakodate, I want to eat ramen♪ I came to “Hakodate Salt Ramen Shinano” in front of Hakodate Station. Of course, I ordered the salt ramen (750 yen), a classic taste of Hakodate. I was also interested in the pork belly bowl, but I was full so I decided to just have the ramen. Oh, it looks delicious. All the ingredients look delicious when soaked in this soup. I’ll have it right away. Ah, this soup is super delicious… I like the hot oil floating on the surface. It has a unique flavor and aroma. It has a strong flavor that is different from the lighter salt ramen. The curly noodles are also delicious♪ The noodles absorb a lot of the soup and are filling. I was able to eat delicious salt ramen. I also have other toppings. I like the soft texture of wheat gluten. The soup is delicious, so you can enjoy every ingredient. The chashu is soft and the fat is delicious. This is one of my favorite flavors of salt ramen that I’ve ever eaten. I’m glad I can eat this near the station. Finally, I had a delicious ramen as a final dish. Ah, it was delicious… The only thing left to do is go back to the hotel and sleep, which is the ultimate luxury. That’s all for today! Please take a look tomorrow as well. Thank you for the mealfrom Hakodate.

Hello. This time I went to Hakodate City in the southern part of Hokkaido. Since Japan lifted its isolation, Hakodate has started to exchange with other cities earlier than other cities, and a culture rich in international colors has been cultivated. I went around such a port town for a day, so please enjoy it until the end.
